Made it into 9/10 league grand finals, in the one I lost…..got beaten in the end by Sodes by 2 points in CattasSCTchallenge

Good luck to all those playing next week.

Lost my main league after being let down by midday of the team but mostly: Goddard, Lewis, Joelwood and Gawn.

I expected more from Fyfe as captain. Disappointing capt score. I wish I had done VC on Heater.

Got beat by MJ in the cash league prelim, but luckily scored the prize for highest scoring loser in prelim. Well played MJ & good luck in the GF.

10 point win in LoEC1 prelim + win in SCT AB’s league means I have another week to prepare for. Will be interesting if Hodge & Fyfe are out for me.

Gutted that Hodge & Higgins let me down as would have loved 2500+ to try & make up a bit of ground in the o/a. However at least having C Adamson meant I could take Smith’s ton & bench the disappointing Yeo.

Into the grand final in all the leagues I was still in. Very happy with my score this week!

  5. 2412/Sloane

Won 6 out of 7 prelims losing in LOEC4.

Was lucky to get up by only 14pts in Schwarzys league against Yiorgi.
Bad luck Yiorgi you were stiff being undermanned a bit having run out of trades before finals still having Wines. Pearce opened the door with McDonald 130 and Nic Nat 137 , and Priddis 122 gunning it for you but Hamlings 37 cost you in the end.

Got a few concerns next week with Hodge and Fyfe but will get back Ziebell and maybe Mitchell.

Managed to sneak into the final in LoEC4 – pretty happy with that. After a year of forced trades, I am hoping to move up towards the 2000 mark overall and the top 50 in NSW.

Good luck to everyone in the finals.

  7. Back to the wall alright. 5 players out when teams were named.

    2503/Danger.

Should have been 2520/Jpk but stuffed up the loophole. Didn’t registermy C on Lever.

543 for round, 4500 odd overall. Top 2% again.

2259 in Technical. Jpk captain. 24k overall.

    2603/ Danger.
    14th for the round.
Was only 40points from the win.
    Armitage-> Sloane worked well.
Mitchell-> Bartel could have been better.
Looking forward to the grand finals next week!

  9. 2408/Danger VC/Fyfe C – took the punt, but not that expensive.

Heater on debut a star, JPK, Cripps and surprise surprise, Mckernan filling in for Titch. Duds mainly Hodge, Missy and Saad.

Managed to sneak into all 3 grannies, which is the main thing at this stage, and while Hodge and Fyfe could be issues, hopeful Titch will be back and I kept one trade and 110k up my sleeve for the granny.

Solid week – Hodge, Selwood, Hanners and Goddard let me down a bit but rest were great. Big shout out to Cripps. This bloke is an absolute superstar. Good to be in a few grand finals next week!

Peaking at the right time to defeat the highly fancied Andy B in the cash league Prelim. Big props to McKernan and Brodie Smith who tonned up big as emergency loopholes.

Up against the arch nemesis Ol’ Mottsy in the GF for the big bucks!

  12. 2,447 / Danger / Rank up to 826

Coming home pretty strong, so would like to finish in top 500 if possible – but would probably need some carnage with the teams this week & next week for that to happen.

Was rapt to win all 4 preliminary finals, winning one by only 10 points.

I also have the Hodge and Fyfe concerns this week, and my opponent in my main league has neither of them – but I do have 2 trades left just in case.

I really want Fyfe to play this week against the Dees at Subi oval – as surely he goes big (even with a tag from Vince, Viney or Cross).

My other worry will be how to loophole my Captain this week – as Tom Read plays on Friday night.

Very interesting watching Goldy versus Sandi today. The end result probably shows just how far Goldy has come as a ruckman over the past few years, but Sandi was superb today.

  13. 2327/Danger into Fyfe rolled the dice no great loss

Happy given had a blob due to Picken’s back soreness and Dempster’s Nose with Lever omitted backline crushed my hopes. Going backwards now 2016 perhaps an Omen?

    Balls!!!

The pain of having no trades during finals has bitten hard. I did manage to win 1 league game so I’ll scrape together my tired team.

    It’s been a fun year!

  15. 2459/ZORKO THE MAGNIFICENT/15006.

Hodge villainous on Friday night, but he may just have given Sodes a massive boost in the quest for overall rankings. My POD Jack Martin was traded out of my side, and he duly responded with 97.

All disappointment in the trade was washed away as the player I brought into replace him, the aforementioned ZORKO THE MAGNIFICENT blitzed out 157 with the VC. I am now in 2 GFs and 1 MGF, but I sincerely hope I put up a better showing next year.

Got 2 trades left, and it looks like at least one of them will be used to deal with Hodge.

Could be without Fyfe and Hodge next week with 0 trades left…that is also under the assumption TMitch comes back. Oh my, oh my. Into the single grand final, and it ain’t looking good I’m afraid.

  17. 2317/Fyfe

Made 3 of 6 GFs… 1 Major and 2 Minor… with one of the Minor GFs being the Cash League and a chance to win my my money back!

In the end I kept my 2 trades, as I knew that if I didn’t, I’d be in strife for the Finals… So thankfully I can replace Hodge and Fyfe if need be… Although it still leaves Wines and Titch on the bench.

Ideal scenario is Fyfe out, Hodge cleared and Titch returns… Wishful thinking I reckon!!!

  18. 2399 fyfe 1910.
Somehow made 6 of 7 grand finals including loec 3 and catta’s and also a grand final replay from last year against harbour heroes in his league.
Only one i missed was my own league.
Hodge and fyfe to worry about.
Hodge, Goddard, Higgins, Selwood, Swan and Gawn all letting the team down to various degrees. Also regretting trading out Macdonald to get Shaw a couple of weeks back rather than Yeo who is wasting away on the bench

How’s this for an epic game ?
Go into the last 2 games leading by 112 point with my opponent having stretch&yeo then stretch scores a 62 ( must be his highest score for the year) then had a 50 point lead and at the end of the first qtr of dogs V Eagles yeo had scored 30 and I had thrown I the towel then at half time he was on 29 and at the end only scored 45

  20. Taking a time out from the beach to wish sodes, nickoless and Andy B all the best in the race for the $50k. You boys are in it right up to your ears……go for broke!!

Team Schwarz is still in freefall. Made it into one GF. My opponent there beat me comfortably in two other leagues on the weekend……I’m cooked! Yeo has done nothing since Rd16, he just made my Higgins List 😉

I really don’t know how I’ve gotten as far as I have. I played Hamling (37) at D6 and Lambert (70) at F6 on the weekend.

With any luck McGovern returns this week and bashes out a century for me.

Obviously lost my prelim with that score. Had to many outs with Titch, Armitage, Kelly, Parker, Picken and to some extent, Lever and Steele as backup. I did bring in Sloane and Lambert as replacements which I was happy with their scores but still had to field H Goddard, Daniels and Hamling. Good luck all that have made it to GF.

Not too shabby considering the donut (thanks Ziebell).
Been putting in some solid scores the last few weeks, despite having had no trades since round 18. Into 3 GF’s…praying for my luck to hold out one more week.
