  1. 2230/Gray/4000ish

Pretty happy considering the carnage at the start of the round – no bench cover on any line. Danger, Parker, Mitchell, Goldy, Fyfe, Wines, Pendles, Martin, Cripps, Selwood and Oxley all did well.

    shit captain choice
    glad i kept oxley
    other rookies performed poorly
somehow got the highest score of my league, i guess it was a hard round

    happy with last week’s trades
    1. krak to goldstein (128), allowing me to bench bellcho (39)
    2. rocky to dumont (74)

  3. 2111 / Priddis

Incredible score given my diabolical injury list. Had to field Amon and Hamling, copped vests to CEY and Michael Johnson ( who is now out for two months – arrrrrgh) and left Oxley on the bench.
On the upside, Ollie’s re-debut was great, Parker and Goldy returned to better form, and Titch, Dusty and Missy were fantastic. Won my SCT league game handily too.

Fairly happy given some other scores ive seen
McIntosh, BSmith, CEY, JPK,Tarrant and Ibbotson all unders not to mention the poor captains knock from Gray

  5. The Hate I feel for R.Gray is very strong at the moment. Couldn’t buy a win in my cash league. Seem to lose by under 20pts to a team that over performs every week.
The other leagues that I dont care about I keep smashing them. Lucky I go overseas for the next month. I’ll just prey my team gets a W over the byes

Happy with that considering I only had 23 fit players. Newnes, Hogan, CEY, Pearce and Tarrant were all very disappointing though. Big 3 weeks coming up though, need to move up through the bye rounds!

    Shambolic scenes! Forward line disaster!
Also if anyone finds Josh P Kennedy please return him to the Sydney Swans Football Cub

Not a great week at all for The Pride. Was close to putting the C on JPK, so things could have been even worse! The only silver lining was that I kept Oxley and Dumont was serviceable on debut.

Absolute disaster. Season going into freefall.
Every week it seems someone conspires to ruin my weekend at the last minute. This week the honour goes to Jesse Hogan, who only needed to score within 75 points of Oxley to get me the win. Waaay too much to ask it seems.
Somehow managed to scrape a full team onto the field, not that my score reflected it.

Lost to the highest score in LoEC1 – well done Chandanraj, you were so dominant early I chose to keep my Rocky trade till next week.
    Top 5 were: H.Taylor/Goldi/Missy/Titch/Oxley.
Spuds: JPK and Prince again – the others were rookies and shouldn’t be relied on. I was just thankful to field the bare 18 this week.

On a bright note I jagged the top score in Tech 3 with 2190/Parker to give me a little to smile about for the weekend – it’s the little things!!

Where to start… M.Johnson, Ibbotson, CEY, JPK, Gray (C), Dahlhaus, Tarrant, Newnes, Goddard, Griffen.

Fair to say this wasn’t my week.
Can’t bear to look at my ranking after this…

JPK and MJohnson the only real disappointments. Hopefully most of us can climb the overall ladder in the byes ๐Ÿ™‚

JPK & Gray as C were main disappoints. Plenty of others did well.
Will surely move down from 13th, but hopefully still in top 20 leading into Round 11 bye round.

Happy to see my team perform.
Given where the season is I had an idea for a thread this week being a pre-bye summary (something like this)
    Current rank: 20000
    Trades left: 19
The good: starting with Danger and Steven
The bad: thinking Fyfes preseason hamstring would affect him…

Ehh, another average round for me and another loss in my main league. Even though I’m 3rd by total points I’m now 2 wins and 7 losses. Frustrating.

Titch, Oxley, Goldstein, Martin and Danger can hold their heads high. No idea what’s up with JPK and Boak seems to have an average one every third week. And I’m still trying to find out why I traded in Danyle Pearce

Super effort from my team, Gray let me down as captain, as did newnes and tarrant. Will aim to make a strong push to the top during the byes #bringit

What a balls weekend and such a difference to a week ago. Dropped about 600 places which isn’t as bad as I was expecting. Still snagged a few lucky league wins though.

Not looking forward to these bye weekends!

Pretty rapt to have managed that with a Bontempelli sized donut.

Very happy with Ward, Martin, T Mitchell, Parker, Treloar and Oxley.
Newnes continues to give me headaches, desire to offload CEY rising,

  20. 2057/Gray. 5/10 league wins, SC Cup win. 1,474 dropping from 837.
Not a good round after a promising start. I didn’t even have a doughnut to blame. Worst round of the season so far.
Top 5 on field: Martin, Mitchell, Goldstein, Selwood, Treloar.
Bottom 5 on field: CEY, Rich, Tarrant, Newnes, Lonie.

Honestly what a train wreck: Gibson, Newnes, JPK, CEY, Griffen, Lewis, Gray as C (after passing on Fyfe), Dahlhaus, TBC – All below par scores.
Only highlight was Sheed’s 50 in a 1/4 as sub – BE was only 31.

Griffen has made me break my ‘No trades for the first bye’ golden rule – welcome back Ollie Wines, we missed you. I’ve kept my patience with TBC and Newnes for one more round…

  22. 2117/Gray/ dropped to 922nd

Very disappointing round but carnage all over the place probably meant I hit par…

My Sunday was glorious though as my team took home the treble securing the Champions League for a 5th time……therefore not even a score of 1200 could wipe the smile of my face this weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. Lots of people here are plummeting in the rankings this week, which I find curious as you’d expect everyone else to be performing horridly considering the chaos that’s been happening with injuries.

I also notice some other weeks that almost everyone here has a screamer and shoots right up the rankings.

Do you think this is because we tend to base a lot of our trades off the rookie review, fallen premium articles, well thought out comments by a lot of our awesome members etc, and sometimes we pick up some pretty big PODs from them, tying our collective results to the performance of those PODs?

Either way, most of the great picks I get from here pay off in spades, and I have no doubt that my SC game would be considerably worse without all your help!

  26. 2095 / Fyfe / Rank 1293

Tough weekend, and ranking dropped about 400 places as a result.

Not happy with my Oxley (123 points) to Gibson (71 points) trade, but should be OK over time. Tossed up between Simpson (108 points) and Gibson all week, so that part of the decision was also frustrating.

Thought my new recruit Dumont looked OK against WCE – although the conditions probably suited him. He looks a bit like Cunnington (good tackler, inside mid, plenty of contested possessions) – but will need to work on his power in the next preseason as he looks quite one paced. Should get another few games you would think.

CEY looks like he has to go, especially with Brad Crouch on fire in the two yesterday. I have two places to fill in my MIDS, and would be interested to see if anyone feels Jelwood is worth picking up at $494K and a BE of 91.

I already have Fyfe, Pendles, Priddis, Sloane, Rockliff, JPK – and was thinking that Jelwood and Ablett should be my final two mids?

I’m pretty happy, into the top 300 is my highest rank so far this year. Only regret was picking Gray as my captain. Looking forward to the byes now and hopefully continue to move up the rankings.

Fairly happy considering I only had 17 players
Franklin on debut did well and keeping Oxley paid off.

  30. 2157 – Priddis C – dropped from 95 to 139

In October last year, Ryan Griffen ripped my heart out and threw it on the ground. But when it came to SC side picking time, I put aside our personal differences because I’m a damn PROFESSIONAL and picked him anyway. I should have known he only exists to torture my footballing existence, real or otherwise.

Does it count as a burn man if you’re kind of happy they suck?

First time poster here in this section… It had been all great so far this season until this Round came (was 315th coming into this Round too).

This link probably best summarizes my thoughts of my team this Round… ๐Ÿ˜› https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzeW1_HSTlk

Where to start, I’ll get the duds out of the way: Johnson (unfortunately injured, best of luck mate, been a good contributor for me, 1st priority trade out), Griffen (once again…), Newnes, Ibbotson, CEY, Tarrant, and the list goes on.

Studs: Fyfe, Selwood (finally :D), Pendles, Shaw, Maric, Martin, Franklin, Swan, Ziebell and Goldstein.

Has got to be one of the worst SC scores I’ve posted for a really long time, but at least for the leagues I’m in (where all are heavily contested in W/L s for Top 8 spots) I’m still holding firmly in the Top 4 for most of them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hopefully during these Byes I can pick myself back up, to only be ranked slightly outside the top 1000 after one poor week isn’t too bad.

One of those weeks. Played one short. And after being a thorn in my side all year, finally decided to bring in Gray, and slapped the C on him for good measure. Bring on next week.

Was doing ok until the last match with Hogan and Vandenberg. Add them to Crips, Newnes, and Tarrant, and bleh. I’m amazed to have broken 2000 really.

Looking forward to upgrading over the next few weeks.

  34. Demons Of Darch
    2202/Buddy(C), Fyfe(VC), 3/4 wins, new rank of 3530 (Up 1300 from last round & up 10,000 from R7)

    The Highlights:
Highlight of the week has to be beating top spot (Tankers) in LoEC 2! From being last on the ladder a few weeks back I’ve started charging up the ladder and currently occupy 9th spot!

    The Heros:
Simpson, for being the only defender I have to crack the ton!
Fyfe, Dangerfield, Beams, Pendlebury, Parker, Goldy, Martin & Buddy

    The Villans:
Newes, Gray & Dalhouse (on debut)

New addition to my Shaun Higgins Shit List:
Josh Kennedy (Swans), every god dam year I get sucked into picking you up, every year you let me down.

    On the block:
Plenty of options this week, Vanders, Clark, Krak, Cripps…

  35. 2297/Shiel/245

Went up a few hundred spots but I just can’t seem to get it right with Oxley. This time had Tarrant playing instead of Oxley & also Vandenberg on the field – doh. Also not the best captaincy choice but could have been worse. Oh well, still happy with the score.

  36. 2248/Dangerfield/8925

Not a bad score considering I had:

    -3 from Micheal Johnson
    43 from Cam Ellis-Yolmen
    39 from Bellchambers.

Also snuck a win over Footballsandall in LoEC3!
