  1. Whilst not SC related, i find it amazing that Robbie’s 1-2 week knee injury is still 1-2 weeks away after 6 weeks of recovery. That’s gotta be a little bit concerning!!

  2. Is anyone trading rocky. Will his 2 weeks turn into 4 or more. Aka beams. Think I might trade. Have 22 left.

  3. A few notes I can take from this list:

    – Brandon Ellis downgraded from ‘2 weeks’ yesterday, to ‘1 week’ today. Hopefully this suggests he’ll be right for R12, after his R11 bye.
    – Dean Terlich listed as ‘test’ after it was initially suggested 4 weeks.
    – Luke Shuey no longer on the injury list. Yesterday he was listed as (shoulder) ‘test’.
    – Tom Rockliff, if only 2 weeks can sit on the bench R10 & R11. If he’s not back by R12 he can be traded to a R11 bye premium. Can remain in the team if back by R12.
    – Jesse Lonergan a definitive 4-5 week hamstring tear, means he is a definite trade out to Staker, creating a DPP link for the byes.
    – Matty Leuenberger is a definite trade out with that thumb injury. Massive decision whether to spend big and get Stevie J who should dominate GC & GWS (flipping Cox into rucks), or save some coin for upgrades during the byes by grabbing a bargain such as Ivan Maric.

  4. Might be too many pies out for Swan to be dropped for being a bat fastard. 🙂

That, daw and terlich are my good news.

  5. Where does this swan rumour come from? Allthough playing an undermanned brisbane side, the pies are in no position to be droppiny or resting star onballers

  6. Looking at trading in Brent Harvey – absolutely on fire at the moment (on-field that is…)!!! Cash isn’t a concern, and a few more points would be handy.

  7. Just a bit if time to kill over lunch so thought I would look at why Melbourne is so bad.
It is more to do with there Footy Recuriting Department

2004 Gave up Scott Thompson Adelaide for Pick 13 and got Matthew Bate
Pick 15 on Lydenn Dunn later draft picks Nathan Van Berlo Mark Lecras.
The rookie draft took someone called Brendan VanSchaik at 10 at had the likes of Harry OBrien, Clinton Young, Danyle Pearce, Heath Grundy as later picks.

2005 Gave up picks 28, 44, 60 and got Pickett and 53 and 64 in the twilight of his career. They took Nathan Jones at 11 which is not too bad but if they kept the others they may have been a chance to grab Andrew Swallow, Bernie Vince. The Rookie Draft another failure. Pick 9 25 and 51 Jace Bode,Danny Hughes, Andre Gianfagna Players that they could have got. Matthew Priddis, Ben McGlynn, Kieren Jack, Stephen Gilham, Heath Hocking,

2006 not too bad they got James Frawley and Ricky Pettered.
But again the Rookie draft nothing 1 pick Daniel Hayes. Who could they have had Michael Jamiesion Matt Suckling, Brent Macaffer, Jarrod Hardbrow,

2007 Gave up pick 38 for John Meesen took Cale Morton at Pick 4 who followed this list, is long. Dangerfield Rioli Mcevoy, Harry Taylor, Callan Ward, Alex Rance, at 14 Jack Grimes give them that. But at 21 Adam Maric available Scott Selwood, Andy Otten, Brenden Whitecross, Chris Mayne, Jack Stevens, Dennis Armfield, Scott Thompson, 53 took Kyle Cheney he is now at Hawthorn. Grabbed Stefan Martin in the pre season draft he his now in Brisbane. Could have had Tom Bellchambers.
Rookie Draft again Nobody pick 3 pick 19 pick 35 Trent Zomer, Austin Woneamirri, Shane Valenti, but no one did really good out of that one so let them off.

2008 jack Watts well we know the story of this one NIC NAT will not go into the others there are still many before the next pick. Sam Blease at pick 17 Luke Shuey David Zaharakis, Daniel Hannebury, Dayne Beams, Liam Shiels, Pick 35 Jamie Bennell, Available Zac Clarke, Steven Motlop, Mitch Robinson, Taylor hunt, Michael Waters, Shane Savage
Pick 1 Pre Season they took Liam Jurrah was a good pick but did not work out, Tom Rockliffe went to Brissy in that one.
Rookie Draft pick 1 and 17 Jordie McKenzie, Rhys Healy available Jeff Garltett,Robin Nahas, Ricky Henderson, Liam Picken, Clancee pearce, Luke Bruest, Greg Broughton,

2009 Pick 1 and 2 Tom Scully and Jackson Trengrove, although a little inconsistent you would have to say Dustin Martin would have been a better pickup.
Brock Mclean given up for pick 11 Jorden Gysbert. who went after of note Kane Lucas, Lewis Jetta, Daniel Menzel, Nathan Fyfe, Pick 18 Luke Tapscott available Nathan Fyfe Mitch Brown Cats, Jack Gunston, Pick 34 they took Max Gawn my work out who was after Sam Reid, Sam Grimley, Allen Christenen, Nathan Vardy, Benjamin Stratton, Sam Shaw, Dylan Roberton,
Pre season to Joel McDonald from Brisbane consider that a win.
Rookie Draft Pick 6 Michael Newton. Available of some note Michael Barlow, Mark Hutchins (Looks reasonably at WCE), Ben Howlett, Daniel Jackson, Jesse Stringer.

You never are going to get it always right bit seems a bit of a recurring theme the good clubs find them Melbourne seem to never find them.
