Early prognosis

Majak Daw (pelvis/hips) played three separate stints in the first quarter of his VFL return on Sunday and an announcement is still to be made on whether he backs up this weekend. There were no major fresh injuries, although second-year defender Murphy’s tough season continued with an ankle setback. Wood was off and on the ground with his quad complaint against the Saints, but completed the match and may not miss a game. Luke McDonald (shoulder) and Sam Durdin (calf) are fine. Higgins is edging closer to being back and Wilkinson could play his first match since April 20, but Tyson’s season now seems in doubt. – Marc McGowan

Early prognosis

Boak is expected to return for Sunday’s crucial encounter against Brisbane at Adelaide Oval. The former captain was a late withdrawl from the Power side for last Saturday’s Showdown win against Adelaide after he suffered back spasms in the warm-up. Cox lacerated his kidney during a contest in Port’s 77-point win against West Adelaide in the SANFL, and he will be out in the short term. Grundy broke his finger in the same game, and will be assessed this week. – Lee Gaskin |

All eyes will be on Riewoldt this week as he presses his case to make a return from his PCL injury, while Caddy is also a chance to come back. Balta picked up a minor quad injury in the VFL and will face a few weeks on the sidelines, while Nankervis is edging closer to a return. – Sarah Black |

It’s unlikely Hannebery will be right for Saturday night’s clash with Geelong after reporting with hamstring awareness. Battle hurt his right knee, along with his hip, early on against North Melbourne. – Dinny Navaratnam

Early prognosis

Cameron could be included to face Carlton this week if he can train strongly, while McVeigh is expected to be available, and is likely to play in the NEAFL. Franklin has started running but is still at least three weeks away, while Naismith is working hard on his conditioning, and could play in the final month of the year. The luckless Ling hurt his Achilles a couple of weeks ago but is expected back in the next month. – Adam Curley

Liberatore will resume full training this week and could return to the AFL sooner than expected after his knee injury in round 13. Gowers will also rejoin the main group but might have to return via the VFL. Versatile tall Gardner hobbled off during the fourth quarter for Footscray after injuring his knee in a ruck contest. Mitch Wallis made a successful return in the VFL and is available for senior selection. – Josh Schonafinger |
*Placed on the club’s long-term injury list
Lycett not even mentioned in the injury list is interesting
No news till now………no news is good news (hopefully!)
J Kelly 3 weeks.
Could be more knowing GWS.
TU: hold
TD: trade
Poll will be up in the morning on J.Kelly……
Cheers, Schwarz.
Bines is only 2-3 weeks away. Finally. 😉
Gardner probably season too!!!
Daniel 1-2 now, was 3-4 last week. Held him last week to sort out some other issues, might just hold him now
Daniel has been a great POD for me all year (he was my first upgrade, all the way back in Rd5), and I traded him to Boak last week… only for Boak to be a late out. Now Daniel is possibly back next week, I might as well have held him. Big oops there.
St Kilda’s injury list is a long one, what’s the chances of Young’s return?
Apparently been playing crap in the resies so slim…
Gardner essentially out for the season now, should the Josh Glenn rule be updated to be renamed the Glenn/Gardner rule?
