  1. Trade Grundy (bye, Suns, port) to ROB (giants, carlton, tigers) for the last three rounds? (Noting Nic Nat to Gawn is happening)

TU Yes – risk it for the biscuit
TD No – Grundy much higher ceiling for the last two rounds and sill not to use draper to cover.

Comment – other option Grundy to Lukosius

  2. Need to ditch Shuey & have a 200k up the sleeve. Who will score more over last 3 rounds?

    TU Macrae
    TD Oliver

De Boer tagged Oliver for 53 last year, may go to him next week in the SC prelim?

  4. Gawn coming in this week but who goes out?

TU: Trade out Goldy (means Draper is R2 this week) with Grundy on bench

TD: Trade out Grundy (means Goldy is R2 with Gawn for rest of season)

Draper is traded out next week regardless.

  5. Hi all, hope everyone’s going well, made no trades last week due to the number of teams with the bye, so ready to make some. Suggestions/advice greatly appreciated. Thinking of Nic Nat to Gawn, what other 2 trades should i make?

MID: Bont, Neale, Oliver, ZMerrett, Mitchell, JKelly, Cripps, Wicks (Close, O’Halloran, Robertson(lions))
    RUC: Nic Nat, Grundy (Cameron)
FWD: Whitfield, Petracca, Brayshaw (Freo), Dusty, Bailey Smith, Riccardi (Foot, Skinner)

  7. 7 trades left so it’s use them or lose them this week. 3 trades so which ones? 113k in the bank ranked 3552 overall but going for league with some interest in beating my best overall rank of 1736. Through to the prelim so have the week this week.

    Team
D Ridley Lloyd Stewart Daniel Williams Doc RIvers B Williams
M Neale McCrae Merret Mitchell Steele Cripps JPK Coniglio Schoenberg Bytel Bennel
    Gawn Grundy Draper
Dusty Whitfield Petracca B Smith D Smith Mosquito Comden Skinner

I was thinking of Rivers out for Perez and Bennel out for Coleman for two of them but any ideas on the third?

  8. Elimination final in cash league…
Only rookies on field this week are Draper & Riccardi
Plan is to loophole draper with grundy. Should he score well leave his score as is… Should he score shit…
Trade grundy to R.O.B (Opponent has R.O.B)
Being its best of 18. Could be a wasted trade & would be stuck with R.O.B over Grundy for the rest of the year…

    TU or TD

    THANKS.

    1. Your last 3 trades outs should be dsmith, Simpkin (assuming concussed and missing games) and a rookie downgrade to 102k rook. The downgrade should either be Simpson (if you’re doing it this week) or Draper (next week). The upgrade options for Smith are gaff, JPK, Parker, touk Miller, Walsh. Simpkin trade is a bit tricky, possibly parish or a risky kpf like Dixon, jjk or Jeremy cameron

    2. Simpson (injured) and Simpkin (too much cash resting on the bench) out. Bring in a rookie and upgrade – former could be a loophole as you have coverage on every line. Not sure how much you’d have for that upgrade but I’m guessing around 600k. Bring in a mid if you trust Riccardi over Dev Smith. Keep your last trade to cover for injury.

  10. Wondering who I should trade out for Gawn:

TU: Ceglar (currently worth more, but is coming into being lone ruck. If hold might be able to move in fwd next week)
TD: Draper (still going to moo heaps as lone ruck, costs less so harder to do

  11. OK folks … I rarely ask for advice, but wrestling with a dilemma as final upgrades to premo now thanks to my brain fade of accidentally trading Duncan last round instead of Simpson … so, some thoughts appreciated on the best two players I could target.

I have either $998,000, if I ditch Wicks and Close or $1,060,200 if I ditch Starc instead of close

One trade in is a Nuff for $102,400 – so for two premos in the scenarios above, who are my best options please??

In the first one, I’m looking at JPK and Walters – with Walters being less than convincing since his injury and JPK back … do they play to the end? It also allows me Starc at D7, Rivers at M9 (and DPP switch for them) and also Riccardi stays in at F7

With dropping Starc in the second scenario, Rivers moves to D7 and the extra cash allows me the choices of someone like Dunkley (or is Greenwood better?) with either Walters / JPK … Close stays as M9 cover. Do we think Dunkley goes back to his better scores and more on ball time … or are there just too many mids at the Dogs??

So folks, please provide thoughts and comments on the best option! All thoughts appreciated thanks!!

    1. I’d go with Greenwood & Walters (though I’m also concerned about the latter’s recent poor form). Greenwood’s role is unquestionable – inside mid – tackles, CPs, clearances – even in a losing team. That in contrast to the unknowns of the Bulldog magnets. JPK has the same role as Greenwood though isn’t getting the scores that he historically has been so reliable for. As to the bench cover they all sound reasonable – Close is perhaps more consistent than Starc, who has a higher ceiling. Thus in a best 18 scenario Starc wins out but come the SC final, Close would be of better value. IMO.

      1. meant to also say though … I dont have enough for walters and greenwood …

It has to be JPK and either Walters, Greenwood or Dunkley ….

  12. Week off trying to decide if best to fill out team or save some $$ for next week and sideways Nicnat to Gawn this week. Wicks, Schoenberg, Day still all on field. trades not an issue, have enough for max each rd.

Nic nat, T.Rivers, Draper to Gawn, Houli (knowing he has bye), Conroy with $290,200 left and aim to upgrapde Wicks/Schoenberg to Neal next week.

    or

Will Day, Schoenberg, Draper to Houli, Conroy, Neale (any other top mid premo) with $18,500 left after.

  13. Need some help, team.

TU: trade Gawn in for NicNat and keep Grundy as R2 – protects future from NicNat being rested.

TD: trade Gawn in for Grundy who has the bye to give myself the best chance of making it through my final this week but may me leave vulnerable later.

  14. So now left with a decision to go with either Neale or Gawn for C. Neale slightly off but playing the Suns but then Gawn has Pruess coming in causing doubts.
    TU – Gawn for C
    TD – Neale for C

Can anyone help with Gawn scores when Preuss plays together this year?

  15. In a close semi final, projected 18pts behind
Anyone MID/FWD I could trade Dusty in for under 533k
Already have cripps, walters, simpkin, J martin

Or hold dusty, roll the dice, and accept that I probs wont get full premo next week (too few trades)

    1. Bobby B…. If it were me, you can’t risk not winning this week (it’s an elim final).
You could consider H Greenwood (GCS) M/F @ $499K Ave=105. The positive is that he plays on the last game of the round, so you could wait till last minute to hit the trade…by then you should know if you cannot risk not doing the trade.

      Good luck buddy!!!

  16. Have only 3 trades left and 85k itb wasn’t Going to trade this rnd as am in prelim but Simpkin concussion is a concern … not sure what to do …. Help!!

Lloyd, Daniel, Doc, Hurn, Stewart, S’Vich( Rivers, Ling)

Neale, Zerrett, Titch, Cripps, Duncan, Fyfe, Oliver, JPK. ( S’berg, Foot, Bytel)

    Gawn, Grundy(Xerri)

Dusty, Whitfield, Tracca, Simpkin, BSmith, Riccardi ( Cavarra, Skinner)

Was thinking maybe use all 3 trades this rnd and go:

    Dusty/ SVich/ Sberg > Coleman/ Greenwood/ Haynes

If Simpkin doesn’t get up for prelim switch Coleman to fwd line that’s assuming he plays…

Any comments or thoughts would be really appreciated!

  17. Playing for overall (aiming for top 1K, sitting 3k with 3 trades, $0 bank) and having a mare this round. Zac Williams out has dropped me to 17 premos this round (19 playing), while also carrying some poor scores – Simpkin, Gaff & Draper.

    Best move?

T/U – Hold – Williams being managed and should be back next week
T/D – Dusty to Haynes, move Dawson to F6 and bench Riccardi

  18. Jelly and ZWilliams out. After Hurn managed and Simpkin injured for a 40.

I thought Rd 15 was the bad round?

    Trade Jelly/Williams to:

    TU – Lyons and Haynes
    TD – Neale and Rich

  19. J Kelly & Aarts —> Neale & MCrouch leaves me with 20 on field with Grundy & Nic Nat donuts. Full premo aswell

    TU – Go for it
TD – Hold Kelly play with 19 this week

  20. In a knockout final that I’m looking like losing but my main league I won last week so on a bye this week. Only 2 trades left but with Williams likely out I could do something crazy.

    TU: Z Williams & B Grundy to N Haynes & M Gawn
TD: Hold fat, luxury upgrade Gaff or Cripps to Macrae next week and take the loss this week

Comment: Just take care of Williams and save a trade for the next bit of carnage

    TU: Lyons
    TD: MCrouch

  24. Anyone notice how sore Neale looked toward the end of his last game? What are the chances of him being a late out? Would impact many people being a popular Capt selection this week and being the last match of the round.
I don’t seek to mozz him. I want him to play & drop some price for trading back in next round.

  26. Question, in order to loophole my midfield emergency + my VC I can no longer have dusty (bye) as my false captain. I’m going to put skinner (fwd) as my false captain and have greenwood on my bench as the playing emergency.

Woodcock is already an emergency in my forward line which is locked. If I have both greenwood and woodcock as my emergencies up forward does that mean they count the lowest score of the emergencies, which is woodcocks 0 to replace skinner?!
