    1. Yeo is the better pick overall, but I think Simmo will score more this week.

Melb bomb it into there forward line = points for Simmo.

Tigs manic pressure creates ineffective disposals for opponents = less points for Yeo.

Whichever one you choose, you probably won’t get the other til after the bye, which is why I’d still pick Yeo this week.

  2. DooDee and O’meera out
    in
    Danger (lock)
    T. McDonand (melb)

    TU – Do it
    TD – Don’t do it.. Don’t trust T. McDonald

    1. After what he dished up last year and the much talked about rise of McLean this year, I’m staggered that he’s in 7% of teams

  3. With all the uncertainty around Nank this week, why did people start him?

T/U – Get good points then trade to a top 2 ruckman at/before his bye
    T/D – Started him as a keeper

    6

    18
    1. Of all the ruck he had less issues to worry about for a 90+point average. And if he did bomb an easy fix.

  4. Who gets my last field position :
Murphy, Cumming, spargo, Higgins, Phillips or coffield .
Sorry it requires a comment but I’m stuck and as it seems spoilt for choice

  5. Nank doing my head. Was going naughton to tmac and henry to Sicily. But if Nank misses..no cover. Thinking that the two ins easily cover nank pts but I still have donut. So……

    T/U Stick with above
T/D Naughton/Tmac only and Olango to Crossley for cover and burn a trade and best c loop?

    1. To be safe mate you could do one trade and trade Nank to NicNat if he’s a late out. Hoping I don’t have to make the trade but am only doing one for this reason.
For what it’s worth, you’d imagine that NiNat is only to get more TOG as the season goes on, the week’s suspension will probably have been a good thing. He might even outscore Grundy from here to season’s end.
      That’s what I’m telling myself anyway 😉
      Good luck!

    2. ps I put a similar thing up earlier in the week and the most valuable response I got was that Crossley doesn’t have great JS. If Nank is given an extra week’s rest, then you’ll cop a donut next week instead. Crossley’s bye.

  6. Need a defender rookie this week (probably doing 2 midfield trades next week)

    TU Cumming a week early
TD Keefe to swing with Sicily

    Thanks everyone

  7. Naughton to Danger is trade 1, but not sure what my other trade should be to generate the cash.

T/U – Dodee to Keefe (Iffy scoring potential + cash generation)

T/D – Holman to Phillips (Week early but looks to have better scoring)

    1. Interesting story from the votes.

You don’t lose anything by going Holman to Phillips next week, and of anything you potentially gain some cash if Holman goes 50+. There’s also the risk of injury to Phillips before he sees a price rise.

Doedee on the other hand is a decent chance to lose cash, and Keeffe has experience on his side, and the DPP is handy if he stalls in price.

My theory would be Doedee to Keeffe this week.
Holman to Phillips next week if Holman looks to have peaked, or someone else to Phillips if Holman rips out an 80+.

  8. Anyone heard anything regarding M Crouch today?

I’ve been told he has groin & hamstring soreness, worried it’s abother J Kelly moment to be honest!

    1. I heard on the radio in Adelaide yesterday that he re-injured his hammy but I would take that with a grain of salt. My guess would be 1-2 weeks out.

        1. They’re saying a week, but they said that about Lids too. And that was three/four weeks ago.
But the again, Lids is Lids and I’m an idiot!

          1

          1
    2. It’s just hammy, he tore it for the first time this year so when he said it was tight after training they just said they aren’t going to risk it

    3. It’s been reported as a hamstring reoccurrence. Haven’t heard anything about a groin. Hopefully he hasn’t got OP like his brother.

  9. Hey guys.
With doubts over Nanks fitness and English at R3, I may be looking at a doughnut this week. Looks like I may have to bring in Crossley to cover. Don’t like his JS though, with 2mPeter playing some solid games in the NEAFL and Lynch back soon.

My question is, will English be back in the team during the bye rounds?

TU: Yes he will be back
TD: No. Boyd/Trengove will take his spot

    Thanks as always!

    1. Tough to say. He looked tired the last few rounds so he may came back in after a decent rest or if the Dogs cop a few injuries.

  10. Got quite a unique one here..
As I wont have internet next week I have to pick my playing rookies as primarily who is most likely to play next week..

So defensive line the choice is 2 out of Doedee, Cole, Murphy, Keeffe.

Forward line is 2 out of Langdon, Guelfi, Henry, Spargo.

Currently leaning towards Doedee, Cole, Langdon, Guelfi.
    Good idea?

  11. Best Defender to bring in this week have Sicily, Laird, Hibberd. I can afford anyone prefer a non round 14 bye player just due to structure.

  12. Finlayson to Phillips
Or Finlayson to mirra so more cash regen. Will get Phillips next week anyway

    TU: Phillips
    TD: mirra

  13. Going for overall, currently top 450

    M. Crouch to Oliver (21 trades left)

    TU: Do it
TD: Too trigger happy, save the trade

    16

    8
    1. If Oliver suits your bye structure, absolutely go for it. If I had the trades and the ranking, I’d be doing the same thing!

  14. Hurley? Trade or Hold? I have 22 trades 3 and 3 in my mini league and after a win this round in an 8 point game.

    Team
D Laird Yeo Dodee Murray Richards Duman Murphy Hurley
C Fyfe Dusty M Crouch Mitchell Crips Danger Petracca T.Kelly Coffield Banfield Spargo

    Thumbs down Hold.

    1. Thumbs Up Dodee and Banfield to Phillips and a gun defender

Thumbs Down Switch Sicily and Petracca and get McCrae? And make him VC as my opponent doesnt have him?

Comment Get buddy as my opponent has him.

  15. Quick question coaches,

So I have Doedee backline, Darc Fog in the mid and Sicily Forward. I want Phillips in the Mid for Doedee, how do I change fog forward and Sicily Back all at once???? Is this possible?

    Cheers

  16. I was worried about not having enough active forwards this weekend, but now I have too many and can’t even loop! ZGL gets one of the bench spots, who gets the other one?
    TU Guelfi
    TD Spargo
    Comment for Higgins

  17. So many rookies available.
FWD I have gone Fritsch and Henry over Spargo and ZGL
DEF I have gone Doodle, Murray and Mirra over Murphy and Keefe
Any good reasons to change this up ?

  18. Seeing some people jumping on Tom McDonald, what’s the deal there?

Only 3 games to go off, two scores in the 80s which is on par with his last couple of averages, and one big score blowing his average out to 102.

Averaged 80odd last year despite 7 scores of 100+.

He’s got the DPP, but is that enough to justify taking a chance on him over more proven players?

  19. Any love for Zorko the Magnificent over Danger as a T/Up for O’Meara this week?

    T/U Zorko – a bargain at $459
    T/D Danger – can’t keep a good premo down

  20. Trading Finlayson and Doedee

Backs: Sicily, yeo, savage, laird, doedee, murray, (duman, murphy)

Mids: Titch, Dusty. fyfe, parker, cogs, kelly, finlayson, homan, (Spargo, barry, coffield)

    (tu) dangerfield and e.philips
    (td) Simpson and e.philips

could also substitute philips for lachie keefe but not too sure about him

  21. Looking at oliver this week and have the cash in the bank. Although also looking at Gray in two weeks after his bye.

TU – Zac Fisher to Oliver this week through dpp (meaning Fritsch would be the upgrade option to gray in two weeks, or a finlayson if a def rookie comes up in next couple of weeks, through dpp again)

TD – Keep Fisher for two weeks to upgrade to Gray

    Got 24 trades left

    1. If you’re only going to get one, make it Phillips. But if you can do one this week and one next, Keeffe then Phillips makes more sense.

      1. With the likes of cumming, ainsworth etc on the bubble next week is keefe worth risking not getting one of those if they have another good game?

        1

        0
        1. You can always get one of those guys in the following week too by trading out a forward rookie and swinging Keeffe to your forward bench. Works even better if you have Sicily down back.

DPP rookies are great because you can shift them round to bring in bubble boys all over the ground. I’ll likely be doing Henry to Phillips next week with Spargo swinging forward. That means if a good defensive rookie pops up later, I can trade a mid rookie out, swing Spargo to the mids, swing Keeffe forward, bring in a defensive rookie. Flexibility is king late in the year.

  22. TU – Oliver this week, Yeo next week after finlayson and Doedee have one more week

TD – Yeo this week for finlayson

    3

    1. I retained Finlayson purely because I have found it helpful to switch him from defence to midfield when upgrading and downgrading.

  23. Don’t trust Henry on field with only. Is it worth trading to Ronke and make a bit of cash?
    T/U: Go for it
T/D: Missed the boat, save your trade

  25. Took my little Archie along Darebin Creek yesterday … teaching him to ride a bike. He fell off and in the shrub by the creek was a footy card. Picked it up and turned it over. Elliot Yeo.
Couldn’t believe it. Had traded Finlayson out for Simpson. We got home and I reversed the trade and went Finlayson to Yeo instead. Has to be a good omen.
Elliot now resides proudly on the fridge under the “Seddon: the Paris end of Yarraville” fridge magnet.
    Go Yeo-Yo

  26. I don’t need the cash this week but should I:

TU: This week Finlayson to Keeffe (for DPP swing with Sicily)
TD: Next week Finlayson to Phillips

    Concerned about Keeffe’s JS

    Many thanks!

    1. Just to add some more conjecture to this hard decision as I’m too wondering the same decision, Jeffrey

Heavy rain predicted at the MCG from 1pm tomorrow for Gawn, 25 degrees & basking in sunshine at the Gabba for Titch

      1. Dunno ’bout heavy rain – some slight drizzle perhaps. But agree decision not as clearcut if it’s wet.

        1

        0
        1. Saying late last night 4-5mill of rain & 80-90% of rain between 1-5pm in Melbourne, still saying 2-4mill of rain & 70-80% of rain!

Fishing weather radar shows rain over the south coast near Portland but nothing to worry about in Melbourne

  27. Can’t believe I’m asking this one. Was expecting Petracca to be a steal this season but he’s now in Dimmey’s bargain bin with the $2 DVDs. With Curnow out and some DPP manoeuvring I need to field one of Petracca, Spargo or take Henry’s 56.

    TU – Petracca or Spargo
    TD – Henry

  28. Posted yesterday – Fyfe v Gawn
Luckily took the C off Fyfe but now have options today with Gawn, Oliver, Cripps & Titch. Need a big number as opp had VC on Macrae.

Was going Gawn but will the drizzle this afternoon benefit Oliver & Cripps’ numbers?

    1. Think kreuzer/Gawn match ups pretty even don’t think either will dominate so I rekn I’ll put the VC on either Oliver or Cripps into Mitchell C

  29. need some help folks … forget about chasing OA , forget about H2H match ups … this is about staying alive in the SC Cup!!!

Who is the best C option today please and why (eg will the Lions try and tag Titch?; will Oliver attract a tag and who? … that type of thoughts please!!)

    T/U – Titch
    T/D – Oliver
comment on Big Maxxie V Kreuzer??

    all help greatly appreciated!!

    2
    1. I’ve got all 3, Macca

Titch May attract Robinson head to head or Robertson as a close tag

Oliver may cut loose, E Curno not playing

Gawn, 111 best score over his last 6 v Blues!

If I had the gonads, I’d be tipping towards Oliver to run a muck at the “G”

      3

      1. yeah Catta i’ve seen a few posts along the lines of Oliver maybe having a big one … I think Gawn is out just due to his match up.

Titch though can rack up massive stats if allowed to run … no O’Meara either which means one less for Lions to focus on … the weather up here in Brisvegas today is just amazing … perfect for footy!! So I’m tempted to go Titch on that alone!!
