#1. Todd Goldstein (v StK: 166, 120, 111, 109, 138; Form: 155, 164, 127) With this man the new perma-captain, Patrick Dangerfield and Robbie Gray won’t be selected by many for the duties this weekend as they both overlap with big Goldy. The Kangaroos’ ruckman last went under 127 in R8. That’s some sort of formline!
#2. Nat Fyfe (v WCE: 107, 158, 112, 108, 96; Form: 128, 92, 80) With two weeks off, young Nat will be champing at the bit ahead of a massive 1st v 2nd Western Derby. I’ll tipping him to bounce back strongly, but some won’t be willing to risk it and that’s perfectly understandable. Matt Priddis could be a suitable alternative for your final Sunday fixture.
#3. Joel Selwood (v Haw: 69, 90, 83, 151, 126; Form: 145, 171, 142) This man is the in-form player of the competition, boasting a 3-round average even higher than that of Goldstein. His form against the Hawks is a little concerning though, failing to impress anyone in his last three H&A games. You’d think it will count for little however, with the football he’s playing at the current point in time.
#4. Scott Pendlebury (v Syd: 182, 150, 119, 116, 114; Form: 129, 102, 108) Check those last two games against Longmuir’s mob! A 129 last week places enough faith in us that he’s still got that point scoring capacity, despite being down in recent weeks. Dane Swan, Dan Hannebery and Josh Kennedy will be vying for VC honours in the Friday night game.
#5. Dustin Martin (v GC: 102, 120, 74; Form: 151, 97, 97) A 151 from Martin in a shock loss to the Crows will have him bursting with confidence ahead of a must-win early Sunday game at the MCG. Brett Deledio and Trent Cotchin also have a big chance of performing well here.
