Poll – Captain Dangerfield?

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 21 2018

Gawn only managed 93 so Dangerfield’s 126 looks decent in comparison. Do we take the 126 or gamble on Tom Mitchell going large against the Blues?

Would you / Will you take Dangerfield's 126 as Captains score?

  1. I’ve always use 125 as a break even, but I creep it up to 130 when Ultra Premiums are still yet to play!

    I’m a bit torn myself!

    T/U …. Mitchell ( may get the E Curno tag )
    T/D …. Cripps ( May get the Burton / Shiels tag )

    Cheers Catta

  2. I had the vc in danger. For me I think 130 is the minimum I’ll take. Tom Mitchell will go above that every day of the week. Great win by the cats last night. Not doing a lot for my blood pressure:/

  3. People need to look at the risk verse the reward. Danger has 126 which is a fairly decent score. If you take it and Titch/cripps gets 130 you only lose 4 points. If they get injured you could lose 100 points. If they have a good day they might score 150, you would still only lose 24 points. To not take Danger’s score i would assume you expect your captain to score 160+ or your matchup is almost dead and you need a miracle to help change the results.

I’d rather lose 10 points by playing safe than lose 50 points due to a tag/bad game/injury

    1. couldn’t have said it better Nato … the bigger question is what the heck happened to Dangers score after HT??? wasn’t he on 100??? …. 26 points in a half, from him, is very poor … we didn’t get the game here in Brisvegas … anyone got any comments on what happened??

      1. Was tagged by Harmes who did a great job. Reacted by going to full forward, which as everyone knows by now, is death for Dangers SuperCoach relevance.
I’m taking the 126 because I’m a big scaredy cat, but I’m not happy about it. I’ll be interested to see what happens with Titch today without JOM riding shotgun.

  4. Am I missing something, there’s no post for the Hawks v Blues yet?

O’Meara is a late out & replaced by O’Rourke, you could say it a O’ for an O’, but at a lesser scale Jono 😉

  5. will the Blues definitely tag Titch with Curnow?? Is Bolton a fan of tagging? A lot of coaches haven’t worried about tagging Titch as they reckon he doesn’t affect the scores much … but surely that thinking has to be a bit old now??

    1. Bolton being one of 77 personal that’s come from the coaching/amazing footy factory, aka the HFC Macca I think E Curno is a monty to go to him!

With the contested pig O’Meara a late out, that 6’4” onballer called Crippa to the locals could go bananas at Etihad ( with the sun shining, I can seriously see the dumb arses having the roof open ) …. please NOT!!!
