Poll – Hello Newman

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 20 2017

Nonna requested a poll about Nic Newman, so Nonna gets a poll about Nic Newman 😉

He’s been one of the rookies of the year, cementing his spot with the in-form team of the Comp, The Swans.  While his figures have been quite impressive for a rookie selection, his recent numbers fall just short of a ‘premium’ spot in the backline.  Newman has hit the ton just once in his last eight games and has a three-Rd-average of 77pts.

Is it time to move Newman on for a premium defender?  Or is it too late in the season to worry?  Should we just hold him as a D6/D7 loophole option?  Whatever the case, any excuse to use another Newman GIF 😉

  1. Love a good gif!

Would like to move him on but I feel I committed to him being a keeper and have based my team around it. No denying he’s dropped off though but with Pendles/Danger looming as potential carnage this week and still relying on T.Lynch on field, not sure I can carry the luxury of moving him on.

  2. It depends on your trade situation. If you have enough trades in the bank, then go for it, but otherwise he’s good enough to hold for the season.

  3. Newman to Adams this week … yep, I am one of those who did not trust Adams and paid for it up until the byes.

  4. 8 tardes left so trading to Neale via Witherden who will stay D6 for 1 week then i’ll be upgrading Ryan to a premo.

  5. Think I’m the only one left without Docherty

Newman Avg 88 BE 113 (going to lose money)
Docherty Avg 120 BE 137 (probably will drop as well)
Got the Cash ($455.3 in the bank)
    6 trades left

    TU – Trade Approved
    TD – Hold

  6. OMG – how did I miss this??! I usually mosey through nearly every day… Thank you lovely fellas for the poll fwiw:))
And I did trade him that round – was a good idea, til last round…
