Poll – JJ’s Successor

Written by Schwarzwalder on April 19 2016

It was the hamstring tear that struck at the heart of many Supercoaches.  A classy running goal from outside 50m has never been so depressing to watch.  We could’ve been accused of chasing points with Jason Johannisen, but there’s no denying he was on the verge of a breakout year.  97 SC pts from just 50% Time On Ground against Carlton is testament to that.

You simply can’t foresee an injury like that.  But it’s happened and now we need to find a decent successor / replacement for JJ.  So who are you considering?  Are you cashed up and looking for a premium defender?  Is there such a thing?  Or are you considering another possible breakout candidate in the same price range?  Let your fellow coaches know below!

Assuming money is not a problem and you were starting your backline from scratch………….

        1. Apparently he’s had good news and it’ll ‘only’ be 8 weeks. Can’t hold him for that long. With the DEF rookies playing well, I think I’ll trade him to Zorko or Dahl so I can get Paps off the field.

          Also don’t trade in Biggs.

          1. Hearing best case scenario 4-6 weeks as not going under the knife…still hard to justify keeping this early in the season.

  1. With JJ out, how does Suckling figure in things compared to Biggs?

I haven’t seen enough Bulldogs games to know where he fits in the structure/plans, but Suckling’s been a $500k player in the past, hasn’t he?

If you know something, please do comment, but to keep it simple:

T/U: Yeah, Suckling could go large until JJ’s back
T/D: No, Biggs more upside from JJ’s departure

    Thanks!
