Poll – Rock(y) & A Hard Place

Written by Schwarzwalder on March 25 2019

Matt made the request in the Polling Station earlier so we’re only happy to oblige…….

Is Rocky back to his best……..again?  In the absence of Wines, Rocky helped himself to 44 touches, ten marks and eight tackles on his way to 138 pts……..

Priced just over $400k, is Rocky a bargain or simply teasing us again with his erratic performance?  Will you be picking him up while cheap?

Is Rocky back? Are you considering bringing him in soon?

  1. Personally, I’m going to wait another week. If he does well, that will make 2 games + the JLT, which HOPEFULLY means he will continue his form. But then again it is Rocky and he could crash and burn (bringing me down with him).

  2. Went with him from the start. Is a proven points scorer, and is fully fit. Will average 105 plus for the season and at his price is a lock for me. Wines coming back won’t affect his output, two totally different players. I also believe wines coming back in will help rather than hinder his scoring. Let me know your thoughts

  3. If Rocky stays fit who knows 130+ avg possible. Could wait but will be very expensive come harvest season

      1. We have no choice theoriginalforce, our SuperCoach teams can’t repel an injury history of that magnitude!

  4. If you started him, congratulations. Both bold & beautiful.
If not, you won’t magically inherit his 138 by trading him in. That said, two of Rocky’s three biggest ever SC scores have come against Carlton and who is PTA playing this week?!? Yep. Carlton.
    Up to you …

Is this microphone on? Are we on the air? We are?

WHY THE F WOULD YOU EVEN CONSIDER BRINGING THE MOST INCONSISTENT, UP AND DOWN, SUPERCOACH BURNMAN SINCE SHAUN HIGGIN’S GRANDFATHER HAD A BAD SEASON IN UNDER 12S.

Say it after me, in fact say it with me.

    I won’t Rockliff. I won’t Rockliff. I won’t Rockliff.

  6. No from me. He may well score nicely for the first few rounds until the body takes its toll. Also he won’t be getting as many minutes in the middle once Wines and Co return. Great for those that started with him though…

  7. As one of the few that started Rocky a big reason for it was seeing him finally play a full game in JLT2. This is a guy who never went over 80% ToG last year despite spending large chunks of time playing forward.

Its no surprise to me that he’s gone big in the two games hes managed over 80% ToG. I do not expect this to continue all year though. I picked him as someone who i expect will average 100, not that he’ll go back to 130+ each week.

  8. For me it was price Vs potential points, can swap him to sheed, Libba, or upgrade to taranto or crouch. I expect him to get injured and planned for it. But hopefully he won’t.

    1. All good logic, but I only want to hold a rookie if I know I’m going to trade him..not a mid pricer that is only going to go semi upgrade given his price, no matter how he performs.

  9. I started with Rocky as a POD. However, if he scores well the next few games, most will get him. I would prefer him scoring 80-90 this week, rather than 120+.
The same goes for Sheed, Newman, Salem & Hoff alike.

  10. I am happy to take both Cripps and rocky’s 100+ this week. Started with the pig and will ride the break evens until time is up!
