Polls: Trade Or Hold

Written by The Salamander on April 27 2021

While many coaches will have more pressing needs to tend to (Neale, Dunkley…), others who don’t have that sort of carnage to deal with will be starting to look hard at some of their under-performers.

First up: another week, another sub-par score from Cripps. Is it time to worry?

Meanwhile, Dustin Martin is set to miss at least a week with concussion; he’s been carrying a couple of niggles, so it’s not inconceivable that the Tigers might give him another week off on top of that.

What about Dusty?

Finally, Brayden Maynard averaged 100 last year, and 80 the year before that. So far this year, he’s been averaging 78 (2 100+ scores; 3 under 60).

  1. I think at this point, if they’re playing, it’s a hold. Only going to be more carnage as the season continues, so my trades are going to be used solely for upgrading and injuries.

  2. Brought in Dusty this week so he’s a hold for me. A good result would be the dogs to pump the tigers forcing their hand next week re Dusty.

  3. I am one of the unfortunate people who started with Cripps, and I think the way this season is shaping re injuries etc I don’t know that many of us would have the luxury of trading Cripps. I think I might be stuck with him as an M8 til seasons end

  4. After 6 rounds when we are trying to replace premiums (Dunkley) with premiums.
Who do we think will be the top 6 Def’s and Fwd’s and top 8 Mid’s?

        1. Houston a big chance…

Have white washed him from my existence after the pain he brought starting him last year it seems….

      1. Whether we like it or not im guessing most coaches fwd structure will be mostly mid pricers like zorko, tom Mcdonald, nick hind or shai bolton. It will make it very difficult once our def and midfield are full premo leaving minimal midfield rookies and too many fwds to upgrade.

  5. I started with Crippa and think I will just have to hold him now as my M8. After Rd1 needing to trade Danger/Rowell it has not got any better, Butters, Sloane, Ridley and Dusty a week each…corrective trades for my poor rookie choices… by the end of Rd6 I will have used 12 trades – and my team is still not in competitive shape!…guessing many coaches are similar…
