Punters Club – Hooter

Written by Motts on November 6 2017

Hooter’s going for glory with a Boxed Tri in The Cup:
  • 2,3,5,6,7,20
  • $49.20 buys 41%
And here’s what Kid81 likes. Given his form over the last two weeks, I suggest you give some serious consideration to jumping on these:
  • Flemington Race 7
  • No. 6 Red Cardinal
  • $5 win @ 23
  • Flemington Race 8
  • $5 duet – No’s 11 & 12
  • Flemington Race 9
  • $5 duet – No’s 12 & 16

  • Randwick Race 5
  • No. 1 On The Spot
  • $10 win @ 7.50

  • Randwick Race 6
  • $4 duet – No’s 1 & 6
  • $6 box tri (25%) – No’s 1, 4, 6 & 14  (cannot believe the odds on 1 and 14. Lots of value, was very tempted to duet them.)
  • Doomben Race 7
  • Race 7 – No. 8 Tango Yankee
  • $5 win @ TT+

Group Bets

We’ve got $100 to play around with for a Cup boxed tri and I’ll advise what that is in the morning.

The Death Adder, though, has done so well backing PC bets recently that he’s donated a couple of $10 bets to us. He’s a giver, bless ‘im. So here’s what he’s on:

  • Flemington Race 7
  • No. 13 Big Duke
  • $10 win @ 20
  • Flemington Race 7
  • No. 23 Amelie’s Star
  • $10 win @ 17

Here it is, the annual Melbourne Cup Trifecta Group Bet:

  • 2,5,6,7,20 /
  • 1,2,3,5,6,7,9,20,22,23 /
  • 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9,10,13,17,18,20,21,22,23,24
  • $94.50 buys 14%

Good luck to us all!!!

  1. Good Luck Kid and Hooter!

Kid i am on most of your bets again except for Red Cardinal , but i do have it in 2 Cup Sweeps.

The Cup is the most wide open i can remember so i like a few that will be whacked in a quinella and possibly a Trifecta.

With my bets for the PC i went with the Weir factor who has won me the most money this year with his horses and is the best trainer in the state possibly the Country. I know he has 3 runners , but went for more value.

  2. Thanks TDA.
    I quite like Amelie’s Star.
You’re right, really quite an open cup this year and the markets reflect that. No stand out favourite. Could be some records broken in the trifecta and first four payouts. Kinda makes me think that even 10% of a large field of runners could be worth it.
Looking at the card for the other late races, the quaddie could pay handsomely for some lucky punters too!

  3. Nice Trifecta Motts managing to include everybodys selections and still getting a solid 14%.

Of interesr nobody picked the 1st and 2nd over the line in the Caulfield Cup Boom Time and Single Gaze.

  4. Don’t follow the punt as much these days , but I will be including
Single Gaze and Rekindling in to multiples today. Very open field this year,
plenty of value to be found.

    1. Thanks mate, mate of mine had lunch with Francesca a couple of weeks ago. She said that was one of the best international chances.
