Port Adelaide (13.15) defeated Richmond (11.6.72)

Multiple Goal Kickers

1. Ollie Wines (189). He’s on a real hot streak right now, posting his fourth ton in five games, this score the best of his 150 game career. He was huge at the contest, racking up ridiculous numbers of 28 touches (22 contested), 10 clearances, 11 tackles, 1 goal and a very good DE of 89%.
2. Peter Ladhams (138). Three tons in four games now for the young Port ruckman, this one even with Scott Lycett in the team. He kicked 2 goals, had 12 touches (10 contested), 5 marks and 6 tackles to further increase his price. 
3. Robbie Gray (133). The best score of the season for one of Port’s best ever players. Gray was dangerous up forward and kicked 3 goals amongst his 22 touches. He’s capable of having these scores regularly, could be a left field option if you’re short on cash.
4. Travis Boak (129). Boak is back, and at around 500K, could be an option to finish off 2020. The former skipper had 31 touches (15 contested) and 7 clearances to be one of Ports best on the day. 
5. Zak Butters (119). He’s really pushing his case to be a must pick player for years to come. Only in his second season and 30 games into his career, he’s scored five ton’s in 2020, this latest one due to 20 touches (11 contested), 1 goal and a solid 95% DE. 

 

 

Other notable scorers: Continuing on the hundred scoring for Port, big forward Charlie Dixon kept his solid season going, ultimately finishing with 14 touches, 5 tackles, 2.4 and 117 Supercoach points. The others were a couple of guys in red hot form by the names of Rockliff (104), who had 20 touches and 1 goal, and Houston (108), who had 17 touches and 1 goal. The only Tiger in triple figures was reliable defender Vlastuin (103), who posted his fifth ton of the season on the back of 18 touches, 300 metres gained and 77% DE. The only player for either club in the 90’s was Hamish Hartlett and from there scores drop. McIntosh (89) led a fair few Tigers who were in the 80’s, including Short, Bolton, Soldo and Ross. Second-gamer Woodcock was extremely good and will earn some decent cash, kicking 1 goal and having 12 touches, to ultimately finish with 81 points. No serious injuries out of this game as far as I could find.

Disappointment: You could probably pick any Tiger player you had and insert them here, but the really popular picks in Pickett (48) and Martin (74) were probably the pick of the bunch.

Brisbane (14.12.96) defeated Western Bulldogs (11.6.72)

1. Jack Macrae (183). Alright, 40 touches, that’s ridiculous. He would’ve got close to the all time disposal record in a full game I think, he just couldn’t stop finding the ball. His best score of the season, sixth ton in a row, third above 160 and he hasn’t gone below 90 all season, a lock for another All-Aus jumper. No real point talking about his other stats, 40 touches is all you need to know.
2. Lachie Neale (167). If Macrae is a lock for All-Aus, Neale is a lock to join him, and with a Brownlow medal. He’s been that good this year, he’s probably a chance to win it even if he doesn’t play another game from here on out. Another huge score on the back of 36 touches (18 contested), 12 clearances, 1 goal and 538 metres gained. 
3. Dayne Zorko (163). The only way Neale doesn’t run away with the Brownlow at this current point is if his teammates steal votes off him, and with games like this, Zorko might be a chance. His best score of the season on the back of 24 touches, 9 tackles and 9 clearances.
4. Jarryd Lyons/Marcus Bontempelli (138). A tie up here from some gun midfielders. Lyons is having a career year, averaging 117, with a low of 88. He finished with 25 touches (15 contested), 6 tackles and 8 clearances, while the Bont racked up 30 (16 contested), 6 clearances and the 1 goal.
5. Eric Hipwood (128). A season best score by a fair margin for Brisbane’s young forward. Two points off his career best, Hipwood kicked 5 goals from his 10 touches while running at a very good 90% DE.

 

 

 

Other notable scorers: A couple of other solid scores to finish up this game. Tim English was back to his best with a 16 touch, 6 tackle, 20 hitout game to score 124 points, his best return in a month (or 4 week period). Over on the Lions side of things, smooth moving midfielder McLuggae (117) kicked 2 goals, held 5 tackles and gathered 21 touches to score his 6th ton of the year, while young gun Zac Bailey (111) continues to grow, providing a career best score on the back of his 21 touches and 2 goals. Big man Oscar McInerney (113) seems to be really enjoying solo rucking, having 39 hitouts and 9 touches on the night, while defender Witherden (100) scored his second ton in 2020 from 24 touches, including 19 kicks. Due to all the high scores in this game, scores drop pretty rapidly after the previously mentioned players, with the next best being a quartet of 87’s to Williams, Dunkley, Daniel and Ah Chee. No major injuries from this game but Cameron had a scary looking knee concern, which fortunately wasn’t too bad because he returned to the game. Matt Eagles played his first game in a long time, but only had 1 kick, 1 tackle and 3 hitouts for 13 points. The footy world loves him but unless there’s a big change in his role, he’s not Supercoach relevant. 

Disappointment: Starcevich hasn’t gone above 60 since round 4 and this was the worst of the lot, with only 4 touches and 11 points. He’s still in 35% of teams but I think that’s about to change as he is now losing money quickly. 

West Coast (11.6.72) defeated Carlton (7.8.50)

West Coast: Kennedy, Darling, Sheed (2)

Carlton: Fisher (4)

1. Dom Sheed (137). The premiership hero turned in his best score of the season on Sunday afternoon, overall having 26 touches (12 contested), 9 clearances, 5 tackles and 2 important last quarter goals. 
2. Nic Naitanui (129). Was huge again for West Coast, having 41 hitouts with many of them going to advantage, as well as 8 touches, 9 contested possessions, 4 tackles and 7 clearances. Another great display of ruck craft.
3. Jack Darling (115). After finishing in the 90’s four times already this year, Darling finally broke the triple figure barrier with a 2 goal, 12 disposal display.
4. Sam Walsh (114). The gun young Blue continued his impressive second season, finishing Sunday afternoon with 20 touches (half contested), 5 clearances, 4 tackles and the solitary goal.
5. Elliot Yeo (110). Playing his typical role at the bottom of the pack, Yeo was huge for his side, finishing with 21 touches (17 contested) 5 tackles and 9 clearances to round out the top 5 scores of the game.

 

 

 

Other notable scorers: A triple treat here of 102’s. For the Eagles, it was former first round pick Liam Duggan turning in his second ton of the season, courtesy of 16 disposals, 11 marks and a very good DE of 95%. Over on the Blues side of things, former skipper Marc Murphy turned in a game of 23 touches, 5 marks and 3 tackles, while tall midfielder Will Setterfield kicked an important goal amongst his 15 touches and 7 tackles. One point below those three was another young Eagles defender in Nelson (101), who scored his third ton of the year from his 17 touch game. Cripps (93) was good with 19 touches (15 contested), 8 tackles and 8 clearances, while another couple of Blues joined him in the 90’s, including Fisher, who kicked 4 and threatened to be the difference, Kennedy, who was strong in the contest all day, and finally, Curnow, who had 14 touches (12 contested). Over for the Eagles, Gaff (96) played well and finished with 20 touches and 1 goal, while down back, Barrass (90), had 10 touches and 6 marks. Pretty spread scoring from there, especially for the Eagles, who only had 3 players below 60. Unfortunately for the Blues, the loss came with a calf injury to Jack Martin, but first gamer Cottrell (33) was promising with 9 touches of the pill. Young ruckman De Koning (123K) played his first game of the season and scored 38 from 4 touches and 11 hitouts. 

Disappointment: After starting the season on absolute fire, Sam Docherty (70) has struggled to generate big scores, this week only gathering 12 touches of the leather.

Melbourne (13.14.92) defeated North Melbourne (5.5.35)

Melbourne: Weideman, Fritsch (2)

North Melbourne: Larkey (4)

 

1. Christian Petracca (160). He’s pushed his average above 120 with this score, equalling his career high from just a few weeks back! Another 29 touches (17 contested) through the middle of the ground with 1 goal and 440 metres gained, here’s to hoping this continues on for the next half a dozen years.
2. Luke McDonald (138). His third 120+ score of the past three weeks, I’m unsure but he may have had a role change which is allowing him to gather more of the ball across half-back. Finished up with 33 touches, 9 marks and 443 metres gained for his club.
3. Clayton Oliver (137). Backed up his huge score with another ripper here, gathering 31 touches, laying 5 tackles and kicking the one goal to potentially be BOG. 
4. Trent Dumont (131). The hot streak continues, with Dumont scoring his fifth ton in a row. He finished up with 27 touches (13 contested), 6 marks and 6 tackles while running at 77% DE. Will be interesting to see if his scoring fluctuates when Cunnington returns. 
5. Angus Brayshaw (113). Unfortunately for coaches, Brayshaw’s scoring just hasn’t been the same since his hot run of form in 2018, which obviously isn’t helped with Oliver, Viney, Petracca and Gawn taking the majority of points each week, but hopefully this is a sign of change. Finished the game with 29 touches and 1 goal, a point under his best for the year. Is tantalisingly priced at 350K for a bloke capable of averaging 100+.

 

 

Other notable scorers: The only other Demon in triple figures was Tom McDonald (101), who had 13 touches, 7 tackles and 1 goal on Sunday evening. Over on the Kangaroo side of things, veteran defender Tarrant (103), had 23 touches and 5 marks, while ruckman Goldstein, had 17 touches and 23 hitouts to finish on an underwhelming score of exactly 100 against a Gawn-less Melbourne ruck division. In the 90’s were Davies-Uniacke and Lever, with plenty of scores falling in the range of 60-90. The loss was further soured for the Roos with injuries to Aiden Bonar (shoulder) and important midfielder Anderson (eye). 

Disappointment: Unfortunately a couple of usually high scorers for North just couldn’t crack a big score for coaches on the weekend, with both Higgins and Simpkin (both 74) using the ball poorly, running at below 65% DE. 

St Kilda (4.10.34) defeated by Geelong (14.9.93)

St Kilda: Phillips (2)

Geelong: Hawkins (5), Rohan (4), Menegola (2)

1. Sam Menegola (154). All Australian? The guy has been on fire for the Cats, consistently getting chunks of the ball and hitting the scoreboard. After a slow start to the season, he’s now topped his career best score twice to push his average to 105. Another stellar game of 26 touches, 11 marks and 2 goals gave him BOG honours on Monday night.
2. Gary Rohan (136). Two career high scores in a row here, with the speedy Cats forward reaching his career best on the back of 16 touches, 5 marks and 4.3 for the night. 
3. Tom Hawkins (126). Kicked 5 to tie up Kennedy in the race for the Coleman medal (really hope we have an old fashioned shootout to finish the season). Also did some great work around the ground, finishing with 11 touches and 5 marks to push his season average into triple figures. 
4. Patrick Dangerfield (117). Overall down on his previous season averages but still performing at an extremely high level. The former Brownlow winner had 19 touches, 6 marks, 1 goal and over 550 metres gained for his club.
5. Mark O’Connor (113). A third career best score in the top 5 here, with O’Connor notching his second ton of the season from 16 disposals, 9 marks and a very impressive 93% DE across the backline. 

 

 

 

Other notable scorers: Another couple of 100+ scores in this game, the next best being Cats ruckman Rhys Stanley (112), who, in his second game back, scored his second ton of the season on the back of 15 touches, 3 tackles and 17 hitouts. The other two Cats to finish in triple figures finished on exactly 100, and they were premiums Tom Stewart and Mitch Duncan. On the Saints side of things, it was the hard-running Ed Phillips (103), who netted a career best score from his 16 touches (100% DE) and 2 goals, while the next best was defender Ben Long (90), who had 14 touches. The only other player in the 90’s was versatile Geelong player Mark Blicavs (99), who played all around the ground for 12 touches, 3 tackles and 12 hitouts. No other really substantial scores from either team to comment on, with plenty of players finishing in the 70-80’s, with the most popular of them being Marshall (89). No major injuries or debuts here, let’s move on!

Disappointment: Could probably pick any Saints player and insert them here, but for the sake of it Steele’s score of 84 was his second worst return of the season. 

Fremantle (7.6.48) defeated Hawthorn (4.8.32)

Hawthorn: Bruest (2)

1. Andrew Brayshaw (150). Career best for the Fremantle young gun, starring in the middle of the ground with 33 touches (11 contested) while running at 84% DE. Now averaging 107 on the season after a very slow start to 2020.
2. Sean Darcy (139). And another one. Darcy finished with a career best score here too, racking up 12 touches, 3 tackles, 25 hitouts and the 1 goal. Maybe next year will be his big breakout.
3. Adam Cerra (134). Three out of three, the future of Fremantle was on full display here. Cerra played inside midfield and finished with a very impressive 26 touches, 8 marks and 4 tackles.
4. Nat Fyfe (130). While the future of Fremantle on display, so was the seasoned veteran Fyfe. The Freo skipper had 28 touches (21 handballs though), with 1 goal and 14 contested possessions mixed in.
5. Brennan Cox (109). The second hundred of the year for Cox, who played across the backline to finish with 16 touches with 7 marks, all being at 100% DE.

 

 

 

Other notable scorers: For Fremantle, veteran David Mundy made it three tons in a row due to his 24 touches (10 contested), 4 tackles and 5 clearances, while reliable defender Luke Ryan (100) had 21 touches (20 kicks) while gaining 558 metres and 81% DE. For the Hawks it was only Tom Mitchell (102) who picked up 32 touches (17 contested) with 8 clearances on the night, while in the 90’s (for both teams) it was Sicily (97), Worpel (96), McEvoy (94), Conca (94) and Wilson (97). A couple of injuries to report on from this game, with Colyer (31) succumbing to a hamstring injury, while for the Hawks it was Isaac Smith (4) who finished up early due to an AC joint problem. Caleb Serong (82) continued his strong debut season with a 20 disposal effort, while Will Day (87) did the same, his being an 18 disposal game.

Disappointment: He’s been great for Hawthorn this year, but Wingard (53) just couldn’t get his disposal working this game, only using his 15 touches at 40%.

Adelaide (5.8.38) defeated by Collingwood (10.2.62)

Adelaide: Stengle, Himmelberg (2)

Collingwood: Cameron, Ruscoe, Stephenson (2)

1. Rory Laird (185). A move to the midfield has worked wonders for Laird, this game he finished up with a huge numbers of 37 touches (17 contested), 9 tackles and 10 clearances. Let’s hope he stays there.
2. Taylor Adams (128). His ninth hundred of the season, this week being Collingwood’s best player and finishing with 27 touches (16 contested), 10 clearances and 6 tackles. Would probably be leading Collingwood’s B’n’F at this point. 
3. Jack Crisp (109). Back in the 100’s after three weeks out. Crisp had 459 metres gained from his 22 touches and 3 tackles, overall scoring his fifth triple figure score in 2020.
4. Reilly O’Brien (106). The big Adelaide ruckman bounced back from his season worst score of 50 last week with a solid outing of 11 touches and 22 touches, while also throwing in 4 clearances and a couple of tackles.
5. Brodie Smith (105). He continued his chart of the himalayan scores, this week bouncing back up to the top due to his 21 disposals (17 kicks), 11 marks and 3 tackles.

 

 

 

Other notable scorers: Another five players in the low hundred scores here. The most popular of those was Pies big man Grundy, who finished on exactly 100 due to his 10 touch, 6 tackle and 24 hitout game. Slightly in front of him was another popular big man in Darcy Cameron (102), who had 2 goals, 9 marks and 15 touches in a solid game that should help him keep his spot for weeks to come, while on the score between them was Maynard (101), his eighth ton of the year. Over on the Crows side, Matt Crouch (100) had 29 touches and 4 tackles on the day, while important defender Doedee (102) was great for 12 touches and 5 tackles, but unfortunately finished with a hamstring injury. A couple of players in the 90’s, led by Mihocek (99), Thomas (95), Stengle (94) and Sidebottom (93). Second gamer Scholl (71) was very good with 16 touches, while unfortunately injuries went to the previously mentioned Doedee, 150-gamer Lynch and important Collingwood defender Roughead. Quick congrats to Dunn and Broomhead on their respective return games. 

Disappointment: Nothing much here really for the Supercoach relevant players, so maybe rookie Crow Schoenberg (39) can have the honour, his score came from 7 touches and will slow his cash generation.

Gold Coast (11.7.73) drew with Essendon (11.7.73)

Multiple Goal Kickers

Gold Coast: Day, Weller, King (2)

Essendon: Zaharakis, Stewart (3), Langford (2)

1. Zach Merrett (137). The classy left footer is in a very rich vein of form, this week gathering 30 touches of pill (12 contested), which resulted in a team high 478 metres gained.
2. Dylan Shiel (129). Another Bombers left footer here, with Shiel scoring his first ton since round 5 due to his 26 disposal (11 contested), 4 tackle and 6 clearance performance.
3. Lachie Weller (127). Surprisingly his career best score in nearly 100 games. Weller notched his fourth ton of the season on the back of an impressive performance of 18 touches and 2 goals, while also gaining 400 metres for his side.
4. Jordan Ridley (124). Despite coming into the game with a few injury concerns, Ridley starred for the Bombers, racking up 23 touches (20 kicks) and 10 marks on the night, while running at a very good DE of 93%. Has been the surprise packet of the season.
5. Darcy Parish (114). After a fair few scores in the 90’s, Parish finally hit the ton in 2020 to round out the top 5. He finished up with a solid game in the middle of the ground, recording 20 disposals and 8 tackles.

 

 

 

Other notable scorers: Andrew McGrath (109) scored his fourth ton of the year on the back of 26 touches and 6 clearances in the middle of the ground, while for the Suns it was Jack Bowes (106) recording his second triple figure score of 2020 due to his 16 touches and 1 goal. Jarrod Witts (95) continued his solid 2020 campaign with 11 touches and 31 hitouts, with veteran Zaharakis (97) rounding out the scores in the 90’s with his game of 13 touches and 3 goals. Once again heaps of scores in the range of 60-90 here, the most popular Supercoach picks of those being Greenwood and Rankine (both 85). Debutant Sam Flanders (51) was good coming off a half-forward flank, finishing up with 8 touches and 5 tackles, while one of last years promising rookies Dylan Clarke (69) played his first game of the year, finishing with 10 touches and 4 tackles. Unfortunately, the previously mentioned Zaharakis did finish up his night with a quad injury, making him the final casualty of round 11.

Disappointment: He’s had a really good year but this was the worst return for Touk Miller, only registering 11 touches and 65 points. Zerk-Thatcher (16) only had 3 touches so he can also get a mention.
