There are some massive names that have been awarded dual position status for next year’s SuperCoach season. No doubt many on this list will make for tantalising selections in our pre-season planning. Swan, Goddard and Deledio are all proven elite SC names that will now fight for our affections in the forward line. SuperCoach veterans will fondly remember the latter two being staples in defence over the years, so it’ll make for an interesting change of pace in 2015.
Here are your brand spanking new DPPs for the 2015 season:
Dane Swan (Collingwood) — midfield/forward
Brendon Goddard (Essendon) — midfield/forward
Brett Deledio (Richmond) — midfield/forward
Jack Ziebell (North Melbourne) — midfield/forward
Harley Bennell (Gold Coast) — midfield/forward
Dale Thomas (Carlton) — midfield/forward
Adam Cooney (Essendon) — midfield/forward
Paddy Ryder (Port Adelaide) — ruck/forward
Tom Bellchambers (Essendon) — ruck/forward
Jarrod Harbrow (Gold Coast) — midfield/defender
Nathan Krakouer (Port Adelaide) — midfield/forward
Christian Petracca (Melbourne) — midfield/forward
Jayden Laverde (Essendon) — midfield/forward
Hugh Goddard (St Kilda) — defender/forward
Sam Durdin (North Melbourne) — defender/ruck
Kane Lambert (Richmond) — midfield/forward
There are always two sides to the coin, so sadly we will have to say our goodbyes to some DPPs that have provided plenty of enjoyment to SuperCoaches in 2014. In particular, Mitchell, Bartel, McVeigh, Swallow and Hanley made up the majority of defensive ranks last season. Their defensive eligibility has been cut for 2015 in exchange for midfield status, with the exception of the Geelong champion, Jimmy Bartel as a forward.
Here’s the list of our favourite players who have lost their DPP eligibility:
Patrick Dangerfield (Adelaide) — midfielder
Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn) — midfielder
Pearce Hanley (Brisbane) — midfielder
Jimmy Bartel (Geelong) — forward
Luke Parker (Sydney) — midfielder
Jarrad McVeigh (Sydney) — midfielder
David Swallow (Gold Coast) — midfielder
Stefan Martin (Brisbane) — ruck
Chad Wingard (Port Adelaide) — forward
Lewis Taylor (Brisbane) — forward
Josh Caddy (Geelong) — midfielder
Luke McDonald (North Melbourne) — defender

Nice work, MJ!
Can I lock them all in?
My biggest issue is in my Keeper Draft League where I’m now overloaded with mids cause of Hanley and Dangers changing.
Cuts once essential players such as Dangerfield, Smitch and McVeigh right out of it.
No dpp on Parker either 🙁
Both defence and forward lines will look very different.
Of course, the revelations so far are for AFL fantasy and not supercoach, but since they both work off the same champion data they usually at least start the year with same dpp’s, even if AFL fantasy change theirs during the year.
Waiting on a couple more dpp revelations, but at this stage dpp rucks will be very hard to find.
Patty Ryder a lock for me. New lease of life at the power should be a big scorer.

4. NO MORE ROUND 23 DISASTERS
You’ve worked all year to perfect your line-up for your SuperCoach Grand Final, only for AFL coaches to rest half your team and ruin six months of work. We’re not putting up with it any more. After listening to the fans, the 2015 SuperCoach private league season will start in Round 2 and culminate in Round 22, when skill can decide your league champion, not luck.
Have a spread sheet that allows those who can’t wait for SC to open and twinkle with a team, don’t know how to email it to supercoach talk so they can upload =(
