SCT LoEC Winners

Written by Motts on August 31 2015

It gives me enormous pleasure to announce the winners of our four Leagues of Extraordinary Coaches. These were the coaches who took on the best this site could throw at them and beat them all.

LoEC1 (39th) – Navy Til I Die**** (coached by Leo Messi)

LoEC2 (26th) – RELIEABLES (coached by sodes)

LoEC3 (121st) – Catta’s Clan (coached by Catta)

LoEC4 (409th) – Scott Pendlebury (coached by JD)

Congratulations guys, phenomenal effort and you’ll all get a stunning new paid of Blundstones courtesy of our mate, Hawker. In the case of Leo and sodes it’ll be their second pair of Blunnies after going back to back which is just ridiculously good.

Email me with your sizes and preferred styles. Your options can be viewed here: http://www.blundstone.com/au (the only one that’s not available is the style 980 mining boot – apologies if you had a spot of mining planned).

The average for the 8th placed team in each of those leagues was 2175, 2192, 2166 and 2149 respectively. Taking the average of those, I’m going to stipulate that if you want to represent the site in one of our LoEC leagues next year you’ll need to provide evidence that you averaged over 2170 in 2015. Take a screen shot of your Total Points screen after next week’s round in case I ask you for it when you apply.

Here’s how each of the finals series ended up. Congratulations to all our Minor Premiership winners (Jurn Stern, Mack Attack, Deano and me!) as well.

One of the SCT ladies, can you let me know how the GF went in that league? I’m also keen to hear how things went in Catta’s and Andy B’s leagues. I’ll provide an SCTTL update after the final round next week but with DavidJohnsonRules overtaking Bad Membreys on the weekend we could be seeing another back to back boot winner!

  3. According to my calculations, I’ll need to score 2850 this weekend to qualify for LoEC next year. Since I’ve never scored over 2600, with my luck I’ll score 2849 and finish with an average of 2169.95.

  4. Loved it this year boys! Great job by everyone involved and a massive thanks to all that organised it. With many injures and a few donuts this week I might just scrape into the leagues next year, my current avg is 2180.

  5. Congratulations guys.

My top 5000 finish was only going to be an also ran against those league results.

Glad to have been in there, and not just making numbers up at the bottom. Hopefully I get another run next year.

  6. Thanks Hawker and Blundstone for the new boots. A great honour to win any SCT award and enter the SCT hall of fame. I just have to get down to a Blundstone store to try some on for size (do they have size 13 -14?). Thanks Motts and all the SCT team.

  7. I wasn’t getting my hopes up for back-to-back SCTTL titles after being about 250 points behind Bad Membreys before last week’s games, but now sitting in 1st with only a 23pt buffer … nail-biting stuff.

  8. “SCT AB League” finished 40th overall, with Andy B taking out the top prize. Gratz Andy! Well played.

I’m hoping to qualify for a run at LoEC next year. Currently sitting on an avg of 2174, so hopefully will scrape in. The end of this season has not been kind and looks like it’ll end badly!

  9. I’m coming back for revenge next year. Considering I’m ranked third in overall points in LoEC2, how did my finals run go?

    Knocked out,

  10. 2170 average hey Motts.

    Really? You sure Motts?

I’ve done the sums and if you want to qualify for any of the LoEC comps you’ve got to score 3076 this week. Hope you’ve got something massive in the pipeline to jag that weekly score!!

Can’t have LoEC’s without the site founder involved.

Personally, I need 2421 to make the cut which looks tough with all the carnage looming.
