The Leaderboard – Rd18

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 21 2017

During the 2016 season, Champion Data was good enough to write a series of articles that explained the Supercoach scoring system in detail.  And so, ‘The Leaderboard’ was born………… I thought it’d be handy to highlight some of the big Supercoach points FOR & AGAINST.  Clearances, contested possessions and tackles bring your players some big points while clangers and free kicks serve as a huge loss.  I’ll try to update these lists each few weeks.   After seventeen Rounds of accumulating data, the leaders are…………

  1. Surprised why Cunnington has never broken into Premo category was on my watchlist 3 or so years ago, Good clearances and contested numbers but not SC relevant

  2. That ave is about right for the money.Speaking of which am I right in saying that they work a players price out from their previous 3 year’s ave?.i.e it works roughly that at 540k the player would have ave around a 100 for the past 3 years.Would that mean that this year’s breakouts ( Oliver, Kelly etc) should still be good buying for next year.?

  3. Starting prices for each season are based solely on the player’s average from the previous season unless they played six games or less in which case there are concessions made.
I think you will find if they miss the entire season they get a 40% discount on the average for the last season they played, if they play 1-3 games the discount is 20% on their average for those games and 4-6 games the discount is 10%.
