The TEAM 2017 – MidPrice Madness

Written by Schwarzwalder on March 17 2017

If you’re still clicking on these TEAM links after a big week of voting, then you are definitely part of the TEAM! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Due to the 50/50 decision on Team Structure last week, there is still a chance of another mid-price option or two (O’Meara & Roughead are already in!) sneaking into the TEAM.ย  No guarantees either way, a lot still depends on team selection next week.

The definition of ‘Mid-Price Player’ may vary slightly from each position (in relation to price).ย  Should be self-explanatory when you see the polls below.ย  I’ve chosen more of the ‘popular’ mid-pricers according to our RMT threads.

If there is a mid-pricer that isn’t on the list, then enter their name into comments, the ‘Thumbs UP’ may yet decide their fate.ย  Please vote on the following polls as if these players were being selected for the TEAM.ย  Take note of the amount of choices for each poll!

    1. According to our Ruck poll, Sandi will most likely be our R2. According to these current polls above, Nankervis will most likely be our Swingman from the beginning………

  1. Speaking of Witts and first ruck at GCS … where is Nicholls at? I know he was injured but is not listed on the AFL injury list … is he going to come back early in the season and spoil our plans?

      1. Ok, that puts some doubt in my mind on whether can Witts hold down his spot in the team. Not sure he is a strong R2 option for the team.

        1. He’s been in and out of the side without witts.

Hard to remember now, but witts was #1 at collingwood before grundy.

He’s young and 209 tall. Without the age and injury issues of 211.

I think Nicholls is going to struggle to regain top ruck.

          1. Nicholls played 15 games last year as first ruck and only missed through injury. My concern is he will remain first ruck and be back playing in a few weeks.

Anybody know how he went on the weekend?

  2. I’m not sold on Witts JS.

I’m going Sandi / Nank With T Boyd as cover for Sandi.

He is $75k more than Witts but will play every game and should still make money as the first ruck at the doggies.

    1. Tim English may get named for R1, which makes Boyd decidedly #2 ruck at best and places him well down their forward pecking order.

Don’t forget that Collingwood also used he-who-cannot-kick as a pinch hit ruck.
