Two record scores in the space of seven days have seen the TEAM leap into the Top10K for the first time this year!!  In fact, the TEAM has jumped more than 11 000+ spots in the Rankings over the last five weeks…….fantastic recovery, Coaches!!  As you can see below, the TEAM is now sitting in five Top8s and still a chance to sneak into FOUR more Finals Series over the next two weeks.  Let’s give it everything!

The TEAM as it stands at the moment………..

We managed to get through Rd17 without using any trades (voted by majority), so we still have five in hand with about $42 000 cash in the bank.  Are there any moves that we simply HAVE to make this week?  Does Fritsch need to be upgraded?  Should we bring in a M9 / F7 Swingman to cover Robbie Gray (reportedly still groggy)?  Whatever is on your mind, you can enter it into the Forum below.  Our Coaching Staff will judge its viability using the Thumbs UP/DOWN function.  What have you got for us, Coaches?

** UPDATE at 9am on 20/7/18 **

Looks like the consensus lies with Sicily and Fritsch being traded OUT.  If Robbie Gray isn’t named in the squad later in the day, I may need to take some executive action or put it to a further vote on Saturday.  Please vote on the following…………

Who comes IN for Sicily?

Brayshaw Or Hurn?

  1. T Smith to B Daniels $117k M/F.

Then we can swing Ahern forward to cover Gray.

Sicily to the best defender available. Hurn, Brayshaw, Ryan Webster.

Going a cheaper option means we can upgrade Ryan come finals time to a M9/F7 swing man.

    1. One of TSmith/Ryan to bargain basement swing rookie to move Ahern forward and cover is a must.

I think we can wait on Sicily as Mihocek plays early. If he scores well then no need to trade. If he spuds it, then trade to one of McDonald, Hurn, Brayshaw. Or we can go early and get Crisp. Maybe poll it.

Webster is an injury risk I feel. Even if he plays he won’t be even close to 100% fit.

  2. Smith to Daniels then swap with Ahern (in reality, whoever of smith or ryan that doesn’t get picked)
Sicily to Hurn then leaves us 162.7k
One of Fritsch and Walters to Hoff next week if no more carnage.

  3. Sicily and Fritsch out

Too many options to bring in. Need a poll

Webster (if named), Brayshaw, Hurn, Howe, Ryan
    Franklin, Westhoff, Wingard, Menegola, Mundy

  4. Sicily < Ryan ( Freo )

T Smith to cheap fwd/mid rookie, swap Ahern forward to cover Gray’s absence this week! But allows for mid/fed option going into the pointy end

Approximately $200k in the bank for upgrading Fritsch or Walters over the next few weeks leaving 2 trades

    1. I know. I only voted for Shannon Hurn cos of that and then it said I’d already voted … I haven’t… ah well, one vote won’t make a difference to the majority but would have liked to have seen Brayshaw there all the same. MEL have some MUST-WIN games and that counts in my book

      1. Brayshaw is clearly the best trade in target. He’s playing almost exclusively in the pivot and Viney is out for a few weeks. 3 round ave of 115 with possession tallies of 27, 31 and 38. That’s who I’ll be buying. No brainer.
