No easy way to put this, Coaches……..the TEAM is struggling…….after voting in Yiorgakis’ trade suggestion of Pendles & Newman for J.Selwood & Hurley, our line-up was hit with too many mediocre performances (I’m looking at the Swans & Suns guys in particular!).  The TEAM is now just hanging onto a Top8 position in three Leagues & sitting 9th in another.  Current line-up is:

Five trades left & $57k in the Bank……time to make some moves and get out of this hole (‘We’ll dig our way out…….Dig UP, stupid!‘ – Simpsons)  😉  Parsons has a BE of 114 so he needs to go, the obvious replacement is Young from the Dogs who is now on the bubble.  That would leave us enough cash to upgrade Rocky to any midfielder (he’s struggling…..and now he’s tagging).  Or perhaps upgrade one of our DEF bench players to a loophole option (D6/D7)?  We need to stabilise our TEAM for the Final 8 so all suggestions are welcome.  Enter your trade moves into the Comments and our Coaching Staff will approve/disapprove with the Thumbs UP/DOWN function……….

** UPDATE at 6.45pm on 27/7/17 **

Looks like the suggestions from Yiorgakis and Freo Tragic can get a consensus.  They’ve proposed to trade OUT Ryan or Scharenberg down back for Conor Glass (HAW).  James Parsons also comes OUT but we can fill our last midfield spot (via Bolton DPP) with a value premo in Sloane or Beams.  Keep in mind that we need a win to get into / hold onto 3-4 Top8 positions so maximum points are needed!  Thank you, Coaches!!

  1. Parsons to Young (or a cheap loophole rookie)
Darcy to Bont/Beams/Hannebery (or similar priced mid)via Strnadica & Greenwood?

    1. Darcy is a waste of cash on the bench when Nank is already there as backup. Trading out Ryan or Scharenberg gives even less cover in defence IMO

  2. Tough one for the team. Joelwood good, Hurley average, but should be ok overall.

We need another premo mid. Forget Young. Suggest Scharenberg to Glass first. JS not great, but a good first game and can be loophole option later.

Then, swap Greenwood into fwds and trade Parsons to… Sloane! Dun dun daaaa! Yes he’s been struggling, but you can’t ignore a 169 and still averaging $110k for $475k. Bargain!

Keep Rocky. He’s the type of guy who go 200 during a final. Plus, with Zorko out this week will surely return for fantasy pig best.

    1. I agree with Yiorgakis.

Downgrade Ryan or Shaz to Conor Glass.

Upgrade Parsons to cheap Premo Mid. Sloane,or Beams.

This way we can loophole Witherden and Harbrow at D6.

Greenwood/ Nank and Lynch at F5/6.

PS Does anyone else think Conor Glass is a dead ringer for Grounds Keeper Willie from the Simpsons?

  3. Hear me out; Harbrow out, send Witherden back to D6, then Beams in. Rotating Greenwood and Rocky through the middle. I’d prefer to rid of either Rocky, Nana or Lynch. But the team is in a hole. Withers is a solid D6 for this team, Greenwood could be a F6, but we can’t rotate between Rocky and Withers.
Trade out Parsons or someone if you’d like, but save that money for next week. Beams is an accessible and viable mid option for 420k

  4. Harbrow out, swap Witherden into defence & loophole Ryan if recalled ( after a big loss, I think he’s straight back in ) as Scharenberg is likely to miss again with Pies winning. If Ryan spuds it up v GWS, put Witherden on the ground as D6.

Parsons out, Young in….with Morris breaking his arm I think the young fellas JS is better than Glass from the Hawks as Gibson / Frawley & Birchall are all 1-2 weeks away.

Dusty into the guts, $40+k left in the bank

  5. Have to go with Beams over Sloane. Will leave about 70k which may be handy next week if Nankervis and Lynch keep spudding it up or we get an injury or managed to a key player.
