The TEAM WrapUp 2018

Written by Schwarzwalder on August 29 2018

Welcome back to the TEAM for the last time in 2018!

After what seemed like being a wasted season coming into the Bye Rounds ended up quite respectable in terms of Overall Ranking.  After sitting around the 21k mark coming into the Byes, we’ve finished the season strongly to just sneak into the Top5k…….our best ever finish in our short history (three years now)!

After making the GF in League #7, it pains me to say that we fell short despite a big score in Rd23 (2664).  That score would’ve been good enough to win 8/10 TEAM Leagues……but as it goes in Supercoach, we still found the better opponent.  Our Coaching Staff did everything right, had Dangerfield as VC, even brought in Hawkins for Sonny Walters in the GF, but still went down narrowly.  No shame in losing to Chef Curry though who finished #165 Overall in the Rankings, well played sir!  The TEAM as it ended the year………

Considering we didn’t have some of the better rookies in Higgins & Ronke during the year, the TEAM performed more than respectable.  Bringing in Hurley probably held us back but we weren’t alone there.  While Stefan Martin performed admirably in the Ruck all year with our ‘Set & Forget’ strategy, getting Grundy in early was a big POD for those Coaches that took the chance.

Before I forget, we did take out the Minor Premiership in League #1 so at least there’s a bit of silverware for the cabinet 😉  That’s it for 2018……..I hope the TEAM added something extra to your Supercoach experience.  Thank you to all the Coaching Staff for your help all year!!  See you again in 2019……..

  1. Great leagues to play in, tipping their numbers will increase in 2019. Great job Schwarz, stuffed if I know how you fit it all in but it is certainly appreciated.
