haha strong team! Ill be pushing for selection next week. Another few days of strong training and ill be fit enough for a run! 🙂
I really need Isaac Smith to get his 3rd gig for the Hawks. That’s sad. I am relying on a 2 game rookie to avoid the doughnut.
Also stoked for the role in SCT for the week. Hey Biggie, can you let us in on your formula for the selection commitee or should I just shut up and feel the love?
Ear drum, out indefinitely.
AFL expectation is that all teams to be issued by 5.30pm
Ouch, gonna have to work hard this week and consider changing the name, I want back in the team!
Shall go with this and see if it puts me back in next week 😉
I’ll have myself ready to play for when Big Hairy Cat pulls out with “general soreness”.
Being named on a half forward flank has made my day. So in celebration of my first game you’re all welcome for after match drinks at my place!
Hawks smith in
Swallow Gc out
Zac Smith ankle injury according to Suns website – anyone know how long?
3 votes for the hairy cat!
I know a snapped achillies would normally sideline somebody for at least 12 months (ala Jarryd Roughead), but just watch bender make a miraculous recovery and be fit, firing & playing in the SCT team next week.
Isaac finally getting his 3rd game has lifted my mood a bit after being totally depressed with the amount if outs I have this week.

I shall be back next week, with a week of vigorous training under my belt, and possibly even a new name!
Good to see Isaac Smith in, what do people think the chances are of him being sub? Im choosing between him and GC Lynch to play this week.
Hmmm… Not good! I have to trade tonight as I’m out all day and night tomorrow! Fingers crossed all of my player play!
made the team wooooooooooo. Played ruck rover for 14 years too, perfect spot
Out
Smith
Adcock
Selwood
Mundy
+ Pendlebury
Krakouer for the bye
Sandi already injured on my ruck bench
Matera injured
Somehow still only have one doughnut
EMERGENCY?!? That is bullsh*t!
Looking back at my past trades, wow i made some stupid decisions..
Robbis Tarrant!? anyone else jump on him? and J. Pitt?
Like the Brisbane Lions, i’m already focusing on next year, and aiming to increase my average
There are gonna be some pretty shocking scores this week!!
I’ve got some trade decisions to make this week. I’d like to get a host of players, but can only bring in 1 premium this week as I’ve got nothing in the bank. I think I’ve narrowed it down to either Fisher in backline, or Cyril in forwards. What do people think?
Thumb up – Fisher
Thumb down – Cyril.
Trade:
Chris Knights out for Howe – Thumbs up
Jack Darling out for Howe – Thumbs down
Who’s JS do people think is better?
Thumbs up. I. Smith
Thumbs down J. Howe
montagna is back!
watch i.smith 100+ against gc!! 🙂
maybe i’ll start him instead of montagna
what u rkn boys?
Thanks Big Sexy and Rusty for all the teams ya done it again guys , just pipped out PA . …yes issac smith is in the midfield and its about time , i must say ..
hey btw how do i get an avatar?
cheers
Another quick poll, trade:
Stanley out for Strauss – Thumbs up
Puopolo out for Strauss – Thumbs down
I’m actually fielding a decent side this week if i make my planned trades of
Selwood, Lower ————-> ROK, Enright
B- Gibbs, Deledio, Enright, Duffield, Gilbert, Heppell, Otten
(Howard(EMER), Shaw, Adcock)
C- Boyd, Ablett, Hodge, R.O’Keefe, Goddard, Cotchin
(Iles(EMER), Jacobs, Swan)
R- Cox, Petrie
(Smith, Moran)
F- Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, N.Riewoldt, Yarran, J.Riewoldt, Mzungu
(Darling(EMER), Richardson, J.Tippett)
What does Cam Richardson need to do to get a game. Bloody hell.
Any info on Zac Smith’s injury?
Am i the only one with a full team this week? 🙂
Def: Gods Gibs Lids Brought Taylor,Murphy Lower
Pederson emerg (ADCOck on bench)
Mid: Boyd Judd Thompson Ablett montagna A.Swallow
Smith Emergency (Swan bench)
Ruck: Cox Griffin
Fwd: Franklin N.Roo J.Roo Pav ROK Goodes Sylvia
Mzun Emer
I know i have an extra mid premium, but it saves me from trading out Judd end of season and to cover for byes, it was my strategy, might backfire but we’ll see 🙂
I plan on getting either Howe or Strauss this week as a downgrade. Not sure which one though. Howe is gonna be inconsistent but will be good for quick bucks and I think his JS is alright but with Petterd coming in he might be in danger of getting dropped. Strauss has got more potential but has pretty shite JS too. Can I get some thumbs?
Howe: UP
Straussy: DOWN
Darling out,
Thumbs up Howe
Thumbs Down Smith
Cheers guys
howe a lot cheaper than strauss.
Good evening all,
A quick predicament, thumbs UP or DOWN request. I was originally intending on bringing in J. Strauss in DEF (probably trade out Thompson or Stanley). However, with the news that I. Smith will finally get his 3rd game, this gives me pause.
Thumbs UP – Trade in I. Smith
Thumbs DOWN – Trade in J. Strauss
Comments too would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
feeling like heppell has maxed out.
should i got heppel to:
strauss
thouy
isaac smith???
or just hang on?
I’m really regreting not getting Drew Petrie in the preseason. I’m coping a donut in the rucks this week with sandi and smith out.
Which one guys?
thumbs up
Harris to I. Smth (helps to add another MPP in there)
thumbs down
McKernan to Howe (will be glad when I get rid of him)
I have Mid (Mundy , Pendles) and Ruck ( Sandi , Smith) on the pine this week lookin to avoid a sh*t score and a donut so should i:
1. Mundy –> S Mitchel + Smith -> Petrie( i have j tippet in forward line)
2. Mundy — Swan (nxt week) + Smith –> PEtrie
thoughts most welcome ladies and gents
Which of the two do i play?
Thumbs up – Harris
Thumbs down – B. Jacobs
mark my words, jerome webberley is a gun! the kid has been killing it in VFL for coburg. keep an eye out.
Anyone else thinking this??
Thumbs up Gawn
Thumbs down Gorringe
Dont want a donut!!!
THUMBS UP- Fremantle
THUMBS DOWN- Melbourne
Only game I can’t make my up on this week.
Oh hello Round 13…. You could be the worst round so far in Supercoach history.
No multi bye, yet most of us will have massive gaps (INSERT KIM DUTHIE JOKE HERE) in our teams.
Wave goodbye this weekend to the Pies, Mundy, Adcock, D.Swallow, Roughie, Z.Smith, Hille & of course J.Selwood…the only AFL player who has caused more damage to an eardrum since Fev got a gig on GOLD 104 FM.
And welcome with open arms to I.Smith, Montagna, Barlow, Mumford, Hale & Pears.
Now we all know choosing a Captain is like choosing a wife (pick the wrong one & u pretty much lose everything), So the 3 best brides i think would be….
*Buddy, kicking a handbag full of goals against GCS plus the Hawks are honeymooning in Tassie.
*Big Cox, walking down the aisle & all over Port at home
*J. Kelly (98.64pts), could be the bridesmaid finally becoming the bride….with no ring on finger (tag) & no sign of the bride (Selwood), this sexy pussycat could steal our hearts & make us get on bended knee.
(BTW Could i make footy sound any gayer than i already have?)
This season has had the best rookie output i’ve seen in the last few years….Mzunga is already a star, Suckling came out of no where & sucker punched us, Curnow looks the goods, Z.Smith is the SC ruck saviour, D.Swallow will be better than Andrew, J.Darling is West Coast’s forward line future & Heppell deserves most valuable MPP.
Great to hear Sandi is back in rnd 14 after a bout of turf toe (if u kept him, good 4 u….if u didnt, good 4 u cuz you’ll probably need that spare cash to make big trades anyways) & is Cam Richardson the new Cam Pedersen?
It’s probably gonna take the next 24 hrs to finally get your team right b4 the dreaded LOCKOUT, so sit down in front of the laptop….light some candles….open up a beer….& make some hard decisions.
Good Luck SCT coaches 🙂
Isaac Smith in!!! Should be good news for me but wait, got no one to trade for him -_-
Should i trade Mitch Wallis for him?? (Thumbs up) Even though he’s only gone up around 70 thousand???
Or should I rid myself of Darling (Thumbs down) Even though he’s GREAT cover for later on
I have one M/F DPP in my midfield, 5 in my forward line. What do I do?!?!?
My team at the moment.
Shaw, Goddard, Gibbs, Delidio, Broughton, Heppell, Duigan
(Puopollo, Jacobs, Lester)
Swan, Pendlebury, Selwood, Boyd, Priddis, Tompson
(Hibberd, Iles, Wallis)
Cox, Petrie
(Vardy, Smith)
Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, O’keefe, N Reiwoldt, Rioli, Darling
(Tapscott, Mzungu, Richardson)
9 Trades and 407,000 in the bank.
Will probably go
SELWOOD- SYLVIA
it will open up my m/f link and in a few weeks will move Sylvia into forward and Mzungu into Mids and then upgrade Iles to Gablett.
Good idea?
cheer guys 🙂
ok. My dilemma is which 2 out of these 3 to play:
Darling vs PAthetic at Subi
Mzungu vs Melbourne at MCG
I Smith vs GC at Aurora
I’m leaning toward Mzungu and Darling, but Smith looks so tasty against GC.
Any ideas?
Similar question to above. Who would you play between:
T-UP: Jacobs
T-DOWN: Atley
I know, it may mean the difference between getting 30 points or 40 points!
I like Smith but have no confidence in his JS. Can anybody give some reasons why they think he will get some consistent games?
Hmmmm I dont think i will break 2000 this week….but i have a feeling breaking 2000 will be a good score this week!
How bout the suns almost running off the runway, poor. bastards, bet the pilit did it on purpose cos he doesn’t have cover for Zac Smith in his Supercoach team. Lol
Mids: Judd, Hodge, Boak, Mzungu, Harris, Selwood (Swan,Pendles,Polec)
Fwds: Franklin,Pav,Goodes,Nroo,Jroo,Chapman,Darling (Siposs,Krak,I.Smith)
14k in the bank
Looking to go:
Darling->Howe
Selwood ->Ablett
Good Idea?
Anyone else think Max Bailey might be worth a trade down?
Rucks: Cox, Sandi, Smith and McCauley.
3rd in main league, 7-2 record, playing second this week.
$55,600 in bank, 10 trades less 1 for Selwood -> GAJ.
Like the look of Vardy but he’s exxy now and in a very good side.
Bailey will surely keep his spot if he can stay fit and is cheap.
Other option is cop a doughnut, as I might lose even with Bailey. But I feel like I have too much cash on bench and $ from Smith downgrade will be very handy for last 8 trades.
Bailey, Vardy or keep Zac Smith?
Bailey – Thumbs up
No trade – Thumbs down (else comment for Vardy)
Cheers!
Selwood + matera –> Mitchell + Cyril
OR
selwood + matera –> pav + Cyril
Already got buddy….. Too many hawks?
Already got mzungu & fyfe….. Too many freo?
Thumbs up pav
Thumbs down Cyril
For the love of Christ can somebody recommend me a ruckman to cover for Smith??!
I have Cox and Sandi, and Smith….AND I have to cover for Mundy as well.
S.O.S!
CHB – Cheers Big Sexy for the guernsey!
Swans v Blues
Who amongst the regulars are Swannies fans? How do you rate your chances this week?
I’m sh!tting myself.
After all of the big names that have screwed my team (and everyone’s) one name has broken my heart.
C.Howard – OUT
Even if he only scored me 40 points it could have been the difference between a win and a loss. More importantly it might mean the Fish Flashers have to eat their first doughnut for the year.
CHF — Just like real Roo Boy of the 90’s. I’m honoured, chuffed and impressed all at once. Going t oget my swagger on and lead us to a famous victory.
Will somehow end up with no doughnuts and i even have three emergencies this week. But that’s with two trades to replace both Mundy and Selwood and with Lester, Adcock, Pendlebury, Sandilands, Smith, Krakouer and Matera all injured/suspended/on a bye on my pine.
Does anyone else have a league ladder that looks like this:
Place Points
1 32
2 (me) 28
3 24
4 24
5 24
6 24
7 24
8 24
Looking to trade out Zac Smith for David Hale and add $167,300 to megre $10K in bank. Petrie then goes in ruck until Sandi returns & while Cox on bye. Hale to be F8 moving while Petrie in Ruck or R3 otherwise.
Gives me enough money to get either Gablett or Boyd + money for final up-grade prior to finals (got 11 left at the moment).
Thumbs up – Ablett
Thumbs down – Boyd (Bob Murphy only other dog)
It seems I’ve escaped the carnage of this round quite well. Will get away with just the one trade: selwood to boyd/ablett and the only notables on my bench will be shaw, swan, smith. Could be the prefect chance for another rankings boost 🙂 Expecting big things from the boys this week.
Lol fishfingers…. Only 2 inches between the fcuk hole and the muk hole and if you miss your in the shits…… Not that there’s anything wrong with that!!!!
5 cougars thanks!!
with 5 league games , and the scrotum scratchers (me) vs jakobs hero,s play,s each other twice this week .
scrotum scratchers ( 1 ) vs jacobs heroes (2)
scotum scratchers ( 3 ) vs snap cracklenpop ( 9)
scrotum scratchers ( 5 ) vs wulagi warriors ( 2 )
scrotum scatchers ( 5 ) vs bye beware ( 2)
scrotum scratchers ( 4 ) vs jacobs heroes ( 2 )
All 5 close games this week and all deserving opponents
scotum scratchers needs a big score this week .
In the unlikely event you’ve got Daniel Bradshaw in your forward line, you’ll need to trade him out – he’s retired.
Ive pulled this quote from the SC sites preview,of this week in regards to +cock.
“Bad news from up north is that Jed Adcock will miss with a broken finger that he has had surgery on. We still aren’t sure how long he will miss, but could be 2-3 weeks. If you have plenty of trades, get rid of him otherwise, ride it out with bench cover.”
Hopefully its 3 max, any more and its a worry.
Still looking for Josh Toy, if anyone see’s him tell him his team mates in The Reach Arounds miss him and what him home
Where’s the reward D Mac??
Mundy out
Boyd = thumbs up
Priddis = thumbs down
What do u guys think to start?
Mzungu = Thumbs Up
I Smith = Thumbs Down
Mzungu might get plenty of it with key players out but smith has the gold mine suns???
What do you guys think
Want to upgrade Darling to Buddy this week but am about $20k short. Was going to downgrade someone to make do but now with Z.Smith sitting out i will be coping a donut in the ruck. Was thinking about maybe getting downgrading Z.Smith to Hale (will be able to swap with Petrie if required) – think Hale might get a go at Roughy’s role. I probably would’ve downgraded Smith in finals time anyone to free up cash.
Also wanted to try and get I.Smith in for either Bewick, Richardson. T.Lynch (even Darling if i abort the buddy trade) Worried about I.Smiths JS but thinking he could be good to make some quick cash.
Only have 9 trades left so want to be a bit careful.
Teams is almost settled with only Yarran the only other one i will look at upgrading before finals.
Hi Fellas,
Lots of dillemmas around the traps today it seems with big outs and injuries…
Personally Im keeping Z Smith and coping a donut….But have two dillemas that I need a little asistance with ….
Dilemma 1
Downgrading Darling ….but to who…..worried about Smiths JS and not sure whether he will play enough games to milk come finals time if needed…and worries about Howes scores in an average side
I Smith —– Thumbs up
Howe ——–Thumbs down
Whats the better trading sequence?
Option 1
Z Smith – Vardy
Darling – Sylvia (Next week)
Option 2
Harris – I Smith
Darling – Sylvia (Next week)
The Vardy trade saves me a doughnut this week and approx an extra $15k.
The I smith trade however opens up another MPP link in the mids to help cover byes/injuries.
Thumbs up for Opt 1
Thumbs down for Opt 2
thanks all
I dont usually like to post my team, but I will in this case as its a difficult week with omissions, suspensions etc.
Deledio, Gibbs, Fisher, Heppell, Broughton, Lower, Hibberd (SHAW, McKernan, Markovic)
Thompson, Bartel, Ablett, Cotchin, Mzungu, SELWOOD (SWAN, PENDLES, BUCKLEY)
Cox, Petrie (Smith, McCauley)
Buddy, N.Reiwoldt, Goodes, Fyfe, Darling, Duncan, DAWES (Tippett, Tappscott, Matera)
As you can see, Ive got a full team this week except 2 spots….. with 130k spare I can get 2 “cheaper” premiums in (ie. Mitchell, Cyril, Pav, Goddard) for Selwood + Matera/Tappscott. I do feel that Isaac Smith could do really well against GC (as with any of the Hawks boys), but is his JS good??
My mids at full strength have 7 premiums aswell, which is extremely handy when they have byes, but sucks when theyre all playing and Ive gotta start Cotchin on the bench. Maybe bringing in a MPP (ie Pav, Goddard, Sylvia??) in for Selwood is smart (to bolster my FWD or DEF after this round), then upgrade a bench FWD to a premium.
Thoughts are welcome if youve got nothing bettter to do on a friday.
Thumbs up Smith
Thumbs down Howe
dont no who to drop tho out of darling krak and knights…thinking knights?!
Have to trade Selwood and Mundy out to avoid a donut and have two options in mind.
Option 1 is Mundy > I Smith and Selwood > G Ablett ( this option would give me enough $ to upgrade to Pendles and another premium fwd next week)
And Option 2 is Mundy > Sylvia and Selwood > eg. Judd, Mitchell, Wells (this option is pretty much a straight swap money and average wise)
Thumbs up option 1
Thumbs down option 2
Ouch! I have Adcock, Swallow, Hille, Zac Smith, Mundy and Roughead.
I have no idea what trades to do!
Why in the name of god has david hille been dropped??He went well last week and hit 113 sc pts….i already have sandilands out which means i am going in2 a must win game with one ruckman in todd goldstein.Im 9th in my league and im playing second place this round.
I really need to get my captain choice right because of this,,,
I have Judd, Boyd, Goddard, Fyfe,Goldstein, Goodes,O’Keefe and Buddy as usual options.
Leaning towards buddy.
What do you guys think???
AAAHHHH…..and the trigger finger itches no more.
Rough to Sizzle
Duckwood to Priddis
Now I can sleep and forget about the doughnut coming for a few hours at least.
Need a hand guys:-
Howe – thumbs up
Strauss – thumbs down
Who should i downgrade for Howe?
Chris Knight – Thumb up
Darling – Thumb Down
I’ve got to say I am surprised that everyone is so into Strauss.
He looks like costing Melbourne a goal every time he goes near it.
His stats may be great but he looks like a bit of a Cam Pederson to me.
I’d be surprised if he becomes a regular before Melbourne has given up on playing finals.
Just one final decision to make before lockout tonight. Final word of advice?
Who would you prefer to start on field this week?
Mzungu Thumbs up
Vardy Thumbs down
Both have averaged 75 over their last 3.
Getting headache thinking of ruck possibilities due to uncertainty on Sandi & Zac Smith and trying to avoid a 0 this week (& possibly next). Rather than Smith to Hale I am swaying to think maybe Sandi to Hale & then sub Petrie into Ruck with Hale as F8 until Smith is back. The $320K would not only enable Selwood to Gablett this week but also A. Krak or similar to Pendles / Boyd + Duigan or Lower to H.Shaw or S.Fischer thus pretty finals ready team. 10K in bank. 11 trades left as of now & want 7 or 8 for finals at which time Sandi could return for Smith or Petrie (bye in Rn21).
Any thoughts appreciated + Good move (up) & Bad move (down)
I don’t care about trades anymore. I have made my last trade till the finals and will only need to trade out Gibbs and Heppell. Just this second traded out Smith for ruck muppet and upgraded ‘Mundy Bloody Mundy’ to Jesus. This of course means that I am putting the fate of my ruck division in the hands of 211’s big toe to come through before the Weagles bye round. I will be keeping Selwood and his ‘Open Palm of Fury’ technique because he is still scoring very well and I will NOT be playing in the second week of the finals!!!……………I hope…………you hear me Gaz Snr?
First time posting on this website. Currently ranked 14,449, but this week is going to kill me! Copping a doughnut in the ruck thanks to Zac Smith and Aaron Sandilands. Should I play Isacc Smith or Jeremy Howe up forward to avoid another one?
Thumbs up – Smith
Thumbs down – Howe
Can’t believe I’m relying on a couple of two-game rookies to save me!
What’s everyones thoughts on the young Irish lad from Carlton’s backline, Zach Tuohy as a possible downgrade target for Lower/Duigan/Stanley? Started as sub in his 1st game and scored 79 in his 2nd. What would his JS be like? Carlton’s list is pretty healthy at the moment yet he’s been named for his 3rd game this week.
Second year in the ruthless world of supercoach, loving it and ranked 7,900.
Is that good, ok, or are most on here well above that. Not sure I care to be honest, it’s all good fun!….(until a premium gets injured!)
P.S. LOVE this website and it’s high time I congratulated all invloved in it’s existence. Well done all!
Hey Guys
Am ranked 250 overall and this is really mainly thanks to you guys.
Only 10 Trades left do you think keep Darling as F7 or trade out?
I do have enough cash and not much on bench.
I sort of missed the love during the week so again well done on a great site and all the regulars keep up the entertainment.
Can’t decide who to play on the ground:
THUMBS UP: Tom Lynch (GC)
THUMBS DOWN: Ben Jacobs
Thanks guys..
Guys, coming 264th so still have my sights well and truly set on overall.
Thumbs up- Play Bewick this week and trade Selwood to Pendles next week keeping in mind Pendles will likely be rested later in the season quite possibly round 23 against Freo in Perth which clashes with Carlton bye (I have murph) or round 22 against Brisbane at the G which clashes with Geelong bye (Chappy and Enright).
Thumbs down- Trade Selwood to Watson this week (don’t have to worry about him not playing until round 24) and was in super form until he got injured.
If I went option 1 I would lose 60-80 points this week alone but Pendles should make that up over Watson over the remainder of the year although the potential of a rest does worry me.
final options:
1. downgrade krak to i smith for cash and
upgrade d stanly to newman/johncock.
2. only trade stanly to newman and worry about cash
next week??
i plan to bring in shaw and fisher after byes. so will need $$ and am worried there wont be a quilty downgrade target..
Are five trades for injuries enough for the rest of the season.
I nearly have a full team. I currently have eight but want to use three just to fully strengthen my team and have good cover on bench. Ill have Heppel, Cotchin and Petrie as cover on benches.
Trades this week ;
Selwood, Lower ——-> ROK, Enright
Don’t know if this has already been posted somewhere…
Western Bulldogs v Adelaide at Etihad Stadium, 7.40pm
NO CHANGES
FINAL INTERCHANGES
Western Bulldogs: Tom Liberatore, Jayden Schofield, Luke Dahlhaus
Substitute: Adam Cooney
Adelaide: Jack Gunston, Chris Knights, Richard Douglas
Substitute: Chris Schmidt
jimbo, would you go for i smith or howe??
i hear u on the JS but the flex is nice. i think howe is impressive and good JS
basically mate. my forward line and mid are pretty set. so all i need now are three defender up grades. i have 11 trades left. with the extra cash ill be able to have my whole team set. and have 7 trades left rolling into finals..
Well here goes nothing… Strauss in for Port Trengove on the DEF bench for cash only.
Contemplating a Rockliff -> Boyd upgrade while I was at it.
Planning to move Swan in for Foley next week also if playing (132 BE be damned)
Duigan or Puopolo to Fisher after the Saints bye and I’ll be all good for the year barring injury.
Only playing PA this week so it is worth doing the Boyd/Rockliff upgrade with 8 trades and 450k to go?
newman up
johncock down
Last minute PANIC!
Have been away all week, plus I’m overseas, so haven’t had time to digest the news/suspensions etc..
As it happens I only have one zero to cover (Z. Smith), but there are a few other problems:
I have Selwood, and not sure whether to get rid of him. I’m leaning towards trading him out for Isaac Smith, and using the cash for upgrades in the weeks to come – thoughts?
I had planned to downgrade Heppell to Strauss and Darling to Howe – should I just do that anyway, considering Z. Smith is likely to be only out for one week and Selwood’s price won’t change anyway?
If I do want to cover the ruck shortage, who do I go for? Considering Bailey, Varcoe, Seaby and Griffin, but will probably end up copping the zero this week so that I can retain Smith for decent finals cover. Again, thoughts?
Any help much appreciated!
cant decide on last position
I Smith Thumbs Up
T Mzunga Thumbs down
Please
good luck for the round jimbo, solid help when it was needed!!
Game on, let’s getty-up lads..
Chris Knights down and out with a migrane!
So happy right now I traded Knights for Howe instead of Darling! Now next week it’ll be Darling for Sylvia.
