  1. T/u macrae at f3 and florent, whe on field
T/d roughy f3, nank f4 and one of florent / whe at f5

In each scenario other three rookies are eddy, houston, butler

  2. TU: SPS in midfield and Taranto in forward line

TD: Taranto in midfield and McCarthy in forward line

      1. Rookies named round 1 after no pre season appearance have been very good in the past. Brayshaw, Taylor and Shiel the standouts. Shows faith from the coach.

    1. JOM at M8 is very deep. That would mean you’re not looking to get any other mids in throughout the season. You might miss out on some super premiums who establish themselves

  3. I’m not really sure if it was being the start of the season and all that or whether I was actually crook, but I had a little voice say today is Supercoach day and I didn’t end up going to work today:

    T/U – totally sick
    T/D – you’re a sicko

    1. Depends on your rucks, if you’re running something like Sandiwitts I’d much rather the cover Nank provides, but if you’re running set and forget rucks then Macrae and Steele is a much better option imo

  4. Oh gosh, I knew I should have gone to work.

Having the last minute jitters with time on my hands….

Currently have Selwood, O’Meara & Nankervis (FWD ruck cover) – Option A but thinking about changing to T Mitchell, Taranto & J Steven – Option B. Help!

T/U – Stick with your guns! Option A
T/D – Option B looks better. Change it!

  5. Forward Line
TU: Dalhaus, Roughead, Nankervis, Steele, Butler, Pickett (Eddy, Houston)
TD: Dalhaus, Roughead, Nankervis, WHE, Taranto, Florent (Butler, Houston)

  6. Pendles at M2 is worrying me a bit, so:

TU: R. Gray (averaged like 115 if you take out his injury affected scores last season)
TD: T. Mitchell (ball magnet, and now #1 mid at the hawks)
    Comment: Just stick with Pendles

  7. Last minute decision and still can’t split them. Any help much appreciated!
    T/U: Pendles, Docherty and Roughy
    or
T/D: JPK, Rance and Buddy T/D

    1. Gday Josh. SPP is a MUST have. Make sure you lock him in and hide the key until it’s slaughter time!

  8. weird one – will Preuss play enough games to generate enough cash or should i just go with the $102k ruck/forward swing-man and get a more expensive rookie:

TU: sternadica (r3), taranto (on field); or
TD: preuss (r3), bowes (on field)

    1. Joel you must be new at supercoach and have not endured the years of pain Higgins have given us super coachers.

  9. Who’s the best R3 option ? Going for cover and cash generation. Have Gawn R1, Sandi R2

    TU/ Witts
    TD/ Cameron

  10. Having the last minute “jitters”

T/U Stay with O’Meara also you will enjoy the hawks games more.
T/D Do the trade D Swallow

  11. Have 17k in the bank. Of current rookies have doubts on Z. Guthrie, Pickett, Parfitt, Houston and Eddy. Missed Butler and sure other options will pop up over the next two weeks for corrective trades.

T/U Downgrade Goldstein to Grundy or Martin now to increase bank for inevitable changes to rookies.

T/D Stick with what I’ve got.

  12. TU: Taranto
    TD: Hoskin-Elliott

Taranto will likely be the higher scorer of the two, but has questionable job security. Hoskin-Elliott will play every week. Thoughts?

  13. TU: Steele, Pendles, Gawn + about 60k spare cash to play around with rookies after rd 2
    TD: Greene, Bont, Goldy

    7

  14. TU: C. Ward (M4), J. Steele (F4), W. Hoskin-Elliot (F5)
    TD: T. Mitchell (M4), L. Franklin (F3), D. Houston (F6)

(Could also get Macrae or Greene instead of Franklin?)
    (Already have Taranto)

  17. I found room in the cap to bring Taylor Adams into my defence, but which mid or fwd rookie do I show the door to? (So I can swing Adams with Hibberd mid-def)

    T/U: Oliver Florent OUT

    T/D: Dan Houston OUT

    Thanks!

  18. With Spencer is out of the side, I’m panicking about not having big Max. I’ve been running with the SandiWitts combo, but thinking about reverting back to my original pairing of Gawn &Sandi. Will leave me thin in the fwds though… Cheers!

T/U: Gawn, Simpkin (1-2-3 forward structure)
T/D: Reiwoldt, Witts (2-2-2 forward structure)

  19. Time to make a call on F3

    UP – Strnadica (for loophle)
DN – Cameron (for future cover and cash generation)

  20. With Thurlow not being selected should I choose the 1st option and keep my 6 midfield premium structure or the 2nd option and drop Priddis (6th premo mid) to bring in Burgoyne (4th defensive premium).
    TU: Z Jones, M Priddis
    TD: S Burgoyne, J O’Meara

  22. Am i an idiot for considering starting with JPK instead of danger… for now….by saving that extra cash for elswhere
    – surely danger wont remain at 740k

  23. Mids: Danger, Pendles, Treloar, Fyfe and Beams

    TU: T.Mitchell (bank $62k)
    TD: JPK (bank $0)

Titch is such an unknown. Does he jump up to elite or does he get more ball and more attention and equals out and score stays the same. Would live to take the ride but equally happy to sit off it. A little bank for corrections is also nice. Such decisions.

    1. Mitchell’s main problem at the Swans was the coach seemed to hate him. He ended up tagging, playing forward, and with low time on ground a lot. I owned him last season so kept noticing all the ways the coach messed with him.

I kept wanting to bring him in this season and when I ended up needing cash I was happy to downgrade JPK to him. But, if I had the cash…..tough call. If you have Hanners then Tich gives you a captaincy option from another team.

      1. Settled for Titch. There’s a reason why he was in my team towards lockout. No late changes! Might need money in the bank for the next fortnight, you never know.

  25. I’ve had to rejig my bench cover due to the shortage of rookie 1st round starters:

T/U – J Simpkin $162k (and on the bench for a few rounds as have better cover in mids/fwds)
    T/d – Mountford $124k

I’m happy to pay the extra $$ for job security even though Simpkin may only be warming the bench, simply because JS of other rookies does not appear fantastic. Thoughts?
