    1. Both?

TU: Yes, both will develop into great players and rise in price

TD: No, only 1 not worth having 2 risks in fwd line

  1. After trying to edit my team, the whole team got cleared. I highly recommend doing this to your team!

Anyway, this is now my conundrum:
    Thumbs up: Pendlebury and T Lynch (GC) & 2 rookies, or;
Thumbs down: Watson, Higgins, Steele and Cam McCarthy

  2. I posted this on 2up 5 but would like a greater indication please

    Tu. JPK
    Td. Hanners

Did I read somewhere that Hanners was not quite 100%? Not sure, maybe I had a bad SuperCoach dream!
    Thanks

    1. I’m keeping a close eye on this poll… Could anyone give me any indication why Shaw seems to be more popular than Docherty at the moment? I would’ve thought Docherty was a safer pick.

      Cheers, Damo

    2. Which rounds do most of your premos have the bye? If your team has lots of fyfe, laird, pendles, treloar, ward, roughy etc. go with doch. If it has more riewoldt, JPK, bont, dalhaus, gawn, beams etc go with shaw.

If the byes are about the same what makes you more comfortable: the young one that’s improving each year but has only averaged over 90 once, or the one that’s getting older but has averaged 90 for the last decade. Either one could be the better choice.

  3. Quick question legends!!
I’ve created what I think is the perfect team only problem is ive left myself with only $1000 in the bank. Should I down grade 1 or two players and have 50-80k in reserve or roll the dice on my current team

Tu- roll the dice with 1 k in bank
Td- you need at least 50k Leftover

  4. Dan Butler has already been named to play round 1 by Richmond

T/U: Get him in, he is cheap ($123k) and is good for bench or F6, as there may not be many good rookies this year

T/D: Not worth it, go with another option

  5. whose the must have in the engine room down at GWS this season.

    T/U C.Warde (575k) or T/D J.Kelly (475k) ??

comment : other options under 575k.

    1. 2 different types of players: Roughy is a tall forward who is hawks captain and if match fit almost guaranteed a spot, and has proved himself in previous years.
Steele is a small forward/mid who is trying to impress his new club, and still has to earn a spot in St.Kilda’s best 22. Although, he did have a terrific preseason and he is a little bit cheaper.
Very hard to pick them apart

      1. Just a thought…

I think Roughie will play more midfield minutes this season with S Mitchell and a J Lewis leaving the Hawks.

I also think “The Steele Trap” will spend most of the year has a defensive forward. I think Stevens, Armitage, Newnes, Ross, Dunstan and even Billings are ahead of him in the pecking order. Not too mention NRoo roaming the wing.

        Its Rough for me.

  6. Last year, rookies were relatively hard to come by early in the season. This year, it’s a thousand times worse. Is this a sign of things to come over the next few years, or will it revert to the mean?

TU: It’s only going to get worse.
TD: Future seasons will be easier.

        1. Definitely Hampton and if Otten is named he has the potential to be one of the higher scoring cheap rookies. No issue with having a few players from the same team, especially when they’re rookies.

    1. Howe averaged over 100 once he went down to defence last year, and is more consistent than adams (Adams has had a lot of injury problems affecting his game time)

      2

      1
  7. TU – start with strndica
TD – start with cameron with the plan to downgrade to strndica once camerons price rises

    8

    3
  8. TU: Adams will be more consistent than Shaw = pick Adams
TD: But Shaw’s durability and ceiling will be better than Adams = pick Shaw

  9. Forget the price difference – I’m mostly interested in job security, and, to a lesser extent, scoring potential here:

    TU: Darcy Cameron
    TD: Oliver Florent

  10. I need a lot of thumbs down on this one folks please……
I’m finding little Gazza sneak back into my side. I just don’t know any better this time of year… it’s a decade long habit that I’m finding is hard to break

  11. How would you rate Brett Eddy’s job security?

TU: Good (he’ll play most, if not all, matches)
TD: Bad (he’ll miss a fair few matches throughout the season)

  12. How would you rate Teia Miles’ job security?

TU: Good (he’ll play most, if not all, matches)
TD: Bad (he’ll miss a fair few matches throughout the season)

  13. Ok I’ve asked two questions and the answers give opposite selections so it comes down to this.
Should I upgrade Parfitt or Houston to Florent.

T/U Yes, better job security and points

T/D No, no real significance gained

  14. If you answered yes to the above question, or even if you didn’t and just want to put your two bob’s worth in

    T/U Pendlebury and Grundy

    T/D Treloar and Goldstein

    4

    24
  15. Josh Kennedy WC or Taylor Adams. Taylor Adams means 4 premiums defenders. Kennedy means 3 premium defenders and 3 premium forwards.

    T/U Adams
    T/D Kennedy.

  16. Thoughts on Ryder? I think he could average 100 provided he maintains the number 1 ruck role. Thinking he could be a top fwd by years end and will be a keeper.

T/U = Ryder will be a top 8 FWD, good POD
    T/D = Ryder won’t be a top 8 FWD, bad idea

  17. Any trades made after first match starts
TU Count as part of your 30 trades
TD Don’t count as part of your 30 trades during R1

    3

      1. Nope, once the final game of round 1 begins on Sunday, teams are locked in and any trades the following week come from your allocation of 30.

Trades DURING round 1 involving any player whose team is yet to play do not come from that allocation.

  18. T/U Roughy as F3 and Darcy Cameron as ruck back up for sandy/goldy
T/D Nank at F3 and also ruck back up and dan houston (also have SPP and Eddy from port though)

    3

    7
  19. For F4 who’s going to average more points? (have 2 premo fucks so back up doesn’t really matter)

    T/U Steele
    T/D Nank

    4

    10
  20. TU: Marchbank and $7.7k

TD: Otten (or other rookie) and $119.9k

Not sure if I should take some insurance cash into the season. Or if Marchbank will average that much more then some of the rookies. Thoughts?

  21. T/U: Taranto in the midfield and McCarthy in the forward line

T/D: SPS in the midfield and Taranto in forward line

Feel free to comment other suggestions…

    Thanks!
