Catta made the great suggestion yesterday that we need another TT post every week.

Here it is!

  1. Need a MID below 525k.
Best options I can see are Armitage, Steven, Neale, Heppell, Cotchin, Rockliff & Motlop.

    TU: Rockliff
    TD: Cotchin

    Comment for others. Thanks

  2. I think at this point in the season, any Trade Talk is primarily restricted to (a) how many trades you have left, and (b) how many LTI you have to deal with. Apart from that, other considerations would need to include (c) how much cash you have left to play with, and (d) do you have adequate DPP coverage?

General rule – if you need to get someone, get the BEST player you can for what you can afford. Don’t scrimp it now going for the “value” option. Player prices & price changes are almost meaningless now, and you can’t take that cash with you after you run out of trades.

For me, I’ve got the trifecta of Beams, Wines & Fyfe to deal with, and whilst Fyfe will still hopefully be OK, I’ll be forced to use 2 of my last 3 trades on Beams & Wines, so again, it’s really just assessing how much money you have to work with, and getting the best options you can for that price.

  3. Posted earlier in the week on Dangerfield v Rockliff and feedback was overwhelmingly in favour of Rockliff I think of the basis of it leaving me with more cash. Similar question Beams for:

    T/U Hannerberry – $65k left in bank
    T/D Rockliff – $135k left in bank

  4. Thoughts on Bernie Vince?
If you take out is first 6 scores of the year where he was predominantly tagging, he averages 114….

  5. Hi all,

Posted this in fallen prems but it’s probably more relevant here.

I have 3 trades left with Ollie Wines and Buddy Franklin the two weakest links in my side. Obviously Wines has to go this week.

    Should I:

    T/u burn two trades getting rid of Wines and harvesting Jack Steele so i can bring in Deledio, Priddis or Mundy and then have a bit more cash and one trade to monitor Buddy or cover another injury. Or;

T/d only use 1 trade on a cheaper option such as Neale, harvey, sloane (for the 3rd time), mitchell, bont allowing me a second safety net for the remainder of the season

Thanks for the help throughout the season everyone!

  6. Have 190k left in the bank with 2 trades left but have to use them on wines and beams, bringing in Dangerfield but who else should I bring in? Can get anyone in any position
    Will hodge get rested soon???

  7. I’ve got Fyfe and Wines, 4 trades and $99k in the bank. 3rd on the ladder, should be a tight one this week. If Fyfe is out, then do I replace them with:

    T/U: Deledio & Armitage
T/D: Josh Kennedy & Sam Mitchell

    Other suggestions welcome.

  8. Ollie Wines to
Thumbs up > Harley Bennell 560k
Thumbs Down > Joel Duckwood 543k
Bennel has 3 games in QLD.
Selwood has Swans & Hawks in next two.
Both are risky but pick the right one and it could take me to a league win ?

  9. Need to trade Wines. Have 130k in the bank. Missing out on Deledio by 3k which sucks.

    Thinking of either:
TU: Bennel – With his great form and relatively easy draw against a few bottom teams
TD: Hannerbery – Mr. Consistent except for a few weeks.
    Comment- Other

    Thanks!

  10. I have both Beams and Wines who need to go this week. I have $1,086,000 to spend on mids. I have narrowed it down to Priddis, Selwood, JPK and Mundy (I have Fyfe, Pendles, Hannebery, Treloar, Rockliff and Sloane) but will probably need to get a ‘cheaper’ option as Wines is pretty cheap compared to those mids that we all want. I am worried about players from both WCE and Freo being rested towards the end of the season, hence the uncertainty.

  11. With my final trade who should I trade Beams to?

Midfield is Fyfe, Priddis, Pendles, Dangerfield, JPK, Parker, Selwood and Beams

    TU Hannebery

    TD Delideo

  12. Need some trade suggestions please.
3 trades left, Wines has to go and only have 485,700 to spend if I use the 1 trade.
Mids – Pendles, Fyfe. Lewis, Rocky, Priddis, JPK, Parker (lambert to cover Fyfe this week again)Amon, Kav
Could swing Hodge from the backline or Swan, Bonts, Martin, Mitchell, Gray (Steele,Knight) from the forwards.
Other option is to downgrade a rookie and trade Wines to the best mid possible and pray that one trade will be enough to get me through?
    TU – one trade
    TD – two trades
    Team is complete otherwise
    Cheers

  13. I’m down to my final trade and need to replace Wines. Unfortunately I don’t have much in the bank, so only have $488,700 in total to bring in another midfielder. The below are my best options that I can afford:

    T/U The Bont
    T/D Lachie Neale

Comment: Brent Harvey, T Mitchell, Ziebell, Ebert (could score better with Wines out?)

Open to suggestions at this point! I do have some cover for both mid and forward so Fyfe and Buddy are covered this week, with rookies.

  14. Initially the plan was to go Barass and Mundy for the 2nd scenario but the Gov has taken Barass’ spot. I’m still considering downgrading Steele for a non-playing rookie and fielding Hugh Goddard and upgrade Rich to a premium to get the cash.
After these two trades I have 4 trades left (so 6 initially) and still looking to upgrade Cripps and Wallis as well as saving a trade for injuries

    TU: Ibbotson + Rich -> Houli + Neale + $3k
    TD: Steele + Rich -> Premium + Rookie + ~$65k

  15. Need to trade Beams and Wines out with my last 2 trades

Naming the top premiums in my team. Already have in the midfield: Fyfe, Hannebery, Pendles, JPK, Parker and Selwood. Def: Shaw, Hodge. Fwd: Gray, Swan, Martin

I know I’m going to trade Beams for Priddis but I’m unsure on who to trade for Wines. There isn’t any other player that stands out. There is Mundy but I am worried that he will get rested later on or I can sub Hodge or one of the fwd’s in the midfield and get someone in that position. I’ve got $583k to get anyone after going Beams to Priddis

    Suggestions please

  16. What’s the thinking on SMcKernan? I wanted him for Ruck backup given DPP but if he’s likely not coming back to senior side this year then I’ll trade him out to cover injuries, rather than others of similar value who are at least playing (eg Lever, KMac) or even Buddy to unlock value. Trades are very scarce given spate of injuries, and I see he didn’t even make the Dons’ extended bench this week.

TU: trade McKernan, he’s done for year
TD: trade someone else, he may well come back and be handy for ruck coverage

  17. Hi guys,

Worried about Mundy and S. Mitchell being rested in the finals – still need to trade out G. Ablett this week:

    T/U – Bennell
    T/D – Selwood

Comment if there are better options (would consider Hannebery but I’ve already got JPK/Titch/Buddy)

  18. I’ll be holding fyfe for now and seeing how I go. If lambert scores well as emergency no trade will be required. If lambert scores poorly and I’ve got a close game I’ll trade fyfe to stanton, armitage or montagna.
5 trades left so not worried if I need to use one.

  20. Tight match-up in a must win final (injuries had me 2-7 but I held firm to squeeze into the 8). Wines – Hannebery is a lock but leaves bugger all in the bank. What to do with Fyfe?

TU: Bite the bullet and bring in Joelwood
TD: Wait til Sunday to see if I can win without him, meaning I’ll have to trade for Callan Ward if it’s too close

  21. I need a Fyfe replacement under $571k. Already have Priddis, Pendles, Mundy, Hanners, JPK, Treloar, Rockliff in Mids and Gray in FWD. Have narrowed my focus to two:

    TU: Sam Mitchell
    TD: Joel Selwood
