I thought I was sorted in the head here in the Calcutta heat when SC opened. Out Stevenson in Thurlow. Out Neade in Nic Nat. Alas just short of cash. Figured Le Cras could go for Nic Nat now I not so sure. Thinking Vlas could go into defence and BGoodes could be traded for a premium mid?? Neade Mayes and McAffer still floating about could be a long week.
Finding it hard to do any this week. Have no rookies that are ready to go. Any that I do want to trade like Neade & Pittard are only around 270 or so and I dont make enough money from them to upgrade anyone else

I am going Stevenson to Thurlow and then Matt Jones to Watson. Then after Bye 11 I can bring in Cotchin for Omera. This will give me a fully upgraded midfield of: Ablett, JPK, Pendels, Swan, Watson, Cotchin, Murphy and Hannebery.
I am just out the 8 in a number of leagues so I need to trade my arse off .
1. Stevenson to Thurlow…. done. Cats will rest players next month guaranteed, and youngsters will get games, no doubt about it.
2. Lucas to Brent Harvey (and Mayes into MID)…. done.Lucas made me $151, and with BE of 97 this week, see ya mate! Brent Harvey BE of 61, avg of 122.

To those affected, tread carefully with some premium Geelong players up until Round 20-21 (SC finals starting).
Sitting at 7-1 already, think about this:
1. They have 5 home games during this period
2. As it sits, 7 of the next 11 teams they play are in the bottom 8.
3. Geelong have a history (statistical fact) of resting their stars and getting them ready for finals.
4. They wont risk players with injuries.
If you were Chris Scott, surely there would be a strategy in this period to rest your stars, one possibly even two games.

Jumping on the Stevenson >> Thurlow express this week. Toot toot! However, also considering a sneaky Heath >> Webster trade to build up the warchest a bit more for some blockbuster trades as the fallen premiums make themselves available.
My issues are that I have Gibbs floating around in the mids (which has been ok since he’s been injured) but not sure how to get him back in defence without moving a Goodes or Vlastuin into the mids. Also have Monfries in fwds who looks like he’s out of juice.

Dear everyone considering bringing in Nic Nat this week.
I understand the euphoria of bringing in the excitement machine who’s seemingly ‘bottomed out’ at approx. $575 K, I think you’re jumping the gun slightly, and taking a pretty big risk on someone who’s just returned from injury. Having already convinced a mate to consider the trade, I have an alternative for you.
Why not consider WIll Minson instead if you’re bringing Nic Nat into the rucks? He’s having a super season, is 30 K cheaper (at $548,500), and only in approx. 10,000 teams!
The blokes averaging 115 points, at roughly 14-15 possies a game, along with 40 odd hit outs! His lowest score (and only sub-100) for the year has been 94, and a high of 143…
WIth the majority of people thinking of bringing in Nic Nat this week, Minson’s the ultimate POD! A must consider if you feel the need to upgrade your rucks this week.

So having a little difficulty working SC. Not sure if its just me or its playing up but simply I’m trying to bring in Thurlow as he looks the goods.
Now stick with me here…The only way to bring him him in is if I trade out M Gawn (Melb) and then bring big Cox in the rucks. Then move Andy Walker into the forward and than either Goodes/Vlastuin into the mids leaving a spot for Thurow in the back line.
But it won’t let me. If you are still following, is this SC playing up or am I not allowed to do that.
Decided ill pass on Nic Nat for now, would need to get rid of someone like Terlich or Vlastuin which i don’t want to do just yet. So who to bring in?

first trade has been used on LeCras – Franklin
and still with 252k in the bank i was wondering what is the best way of using it? i can upgrade a moloney(be109) to a prem like JPK or i can milk Stevenson – Thurlow and buid up my kitty for future big upgrades.

This week I have thought about going –
Daisy > JPK
Viney > Staker
I’m not really convinced on those trades yet. Some advice from you guys would be nice.
I am starting to look at filling my mids as I only have 1 rookie playing back(Vlas, Goodes, Terlich). I’m looking at keeping Terlich as a permanent bench player. But those trades will come later and hopefully downgrade to Doc or Colquhoun.
My forwards are a bit harder. Looking at rookie keepers are thin. 2 that I have identified are Lee and Daniher(Lee cause of $$) I think Staker can be a keeper to and won’t bother trading him out. That leaves me with Neade, Caff and Mayes to turn into 2 premo’s. I’m a little worried there.
My mids seem to add up nicely. Currently have Gaz, JPK, Watson, Cotch, Thommo as my current premo’s and rooks of the likes of O’meara, Whitfield, Evans, Kommer and Crouch. I would love to keep O’meara all season as I think he is a sure thing to win the Rising Star and is a gun but he is worth to much not to trade him. I’m thinking Crouch is my permanent bench cover here.
I guess my real question is do I do a double downgrade this week –
Goodes > Thurlow
&
Daisy > Staker (thumbs up)
Kitty – $665900
or
Daisy > JPK
&
Viney > Staker (Thumbs down)

I have 2 trade options this week. The second one generates more cash for upgrades in upcoming weeks to premiums. The first gives me a premium now and will need to wait for fallen premiums to become available. I’m leaning towards getting watson this week but just not sure.

Am thinkn Daisy Stevie J this week – or Watson am currently sitting 1592 overall down from 786th last week
The question is will SJ get rested this year due to Geel ladder position? I like his DPP for byes his form and increased mid role and can slot him into F6 and still get another gun mid…but feel Watson is elite cheap
Issues with Watson bye rounds dont have a lot of flexibility but can still put him in will be forced to trade OMeara come rnd 13 as Watson makes 5 in guts can cover 4 provided bench players still being named then –

Troubles with who to put on the ground. Goodes has had one game since his return for a meager 77 points whilst my two young guns are going well. Shaw has to be on the ground. Take off goodes? Birch possibly?

Traded Mayes – Watson.
Comments negative of course why trade Terlich negative BE and he will go up.
Ok my reason one I need extra points Watson will give me plenty of that.
Reason 2 Watson currently 571,000
Terlich 312,000
Watson Round 10 over 600,000 prediction that is an increase of over 130,000
Terlich Round 10 about 380,000 increase of about 70,000
I loose 50,000 – 60,000 if I wait.
I gain probably an extra 100 points over the next few rounds.
Plus I need the extra cash Terlich has to get Watson and my backs are pretty solid
Goddard Heppell Waters Hartlett Shaw Goodes (Thurlow and Staker)
Terlich would be just warming the pine and Thurlow can get me the same plus I get the bonus of Watson.

Started ok 2,100 2,200 for the first 4 weeks Jumped to over Round 5 2,300 and thought he we go only to be brought back to earth with 1,837, 2050, 1,891 the last 3 weeks.

I think the issue is you probably got too many PODs in there, and they can be inconsistent (Hartlett, Hodge, Danger). And coupled with some underperformance (Mummy, Murph,) and injuries/suspensions (Shaw, Goodes, Thomas, Waters) its led to some below par scores. On its day though, this team could large. I would:
This week go Neade >> Thurlow by moving Staker into the fwds, and then swap Mayes and Thomas and trade Thomas to someone like Watson.
Next week, upgrade Mummy to a NicNat or Maric or another premium ruck.
So many options, so little trades. Need some advice because this week is doing my head in. Here is my current team:

I would love Watson and Thurlow this week for Stevenson and Viney. But it means I cop a donut. Should I go Thomas to Staker and Viney to Watson instead and miss out on Thurlow or Webster? Or should I go Stevenson to Thurlow and Thomas to Stevie J/Roughy/Nic Nat/Bartel etc, then grab Staker next week and Watson or Selwood? Sigh to many headaches! Any advice would be a big help.
