Currently thinking I’ll definitely do Lindsay and Levi to Butters and Johnson. Was also potentially thinking of going Oliver to NWM.
Thoughts? This leaves me with 21 premos and 11 trades.
TU – Just do the two trades
TD – Do the third trade too (Oliver to NWM)
I’m also wondering exactly the same thing for cheap DPP flexibility in byes if he’s in my top 18 scorers and with plenty of trades left that bit of extra cash when the time comes as I feel he’s just starting to properly find his feet at AFL level hopefully giving him enough JS and confidence to make handy cash until I cop an injury or some other SC emergency haha
Trading LAshcroft and Lindsay to NWM and Butters leaves me with 9 trades left so do I also turn a dead rookie into Johnson? It would give me the cash to straight swap Brock to Mills next week and get to full ”premo”
I’m set on Z. Reid and Lindsay out for NWM and Z. Johnson (or an alternate rookie if he’s not named).
I can bring in Butters or TDK, or I can use my last boost to bring in both (Houston and Flynn out). That would leave me with the following (with 10 trades and 30k for flex and potential uber-upgrades):
Sinclair / Holmes / Rozee / Martin / NWM / Roberts // Clarke / Brock
Neale / Dawson / Butters / Merrett / Cerra / Rowell / Naicos / Oliver // Z. Johnson / Charleson / Gross
Gawn / TDK // Boyd
Smith / Macrae / Petracca / Rankine / Daniel / Bolton // Pedlar / Dudley
Visentini
TU: Boost for TDK and Butters
TD: Pick one and keep my last boost
I think Houston’s worked out his spot so I’d be keeping him for now. I’d actually be targeting him as my final defender if Mills wasn’t so appealing next week
That’s definitely food for thought. His last four game average is around 90 and he might take care of any niggles with a week off. I don’t need him this week, so I could hold him and upgrade later if necessary. Thanks.
13 trades remaining
Trading C.Gray to Johnson via DPP already which leaves 250K in the bank
Butters probably is as cheap as he will get but the only way I can grab him is a straight upgrade on Hewett who still has more $$ to make. Would leave me only Clarke and Johnson as on field rookies in the 23
Hey guys….I’m worried about Whitfield’s new role in the wing n half forward. ASH is taking all his kick in and playing that stable back role. Looking at mills for finals D6 spot. What u think?
Gets rid of 2 dead rookies and gets in Butters. Leaves me with 13 trades, 1 rookie on field (Brock), Flynn in flex, and Roberts. Cash gen on all lines, Erasmus on bench in FWD line should hit 280-300k.
I’ve had Heeney all year, he’s been frustrating, but looks like he may finally be getting into form – Mills is back, Gulden isn’t far off, helps free him up for his usual role, plus just looks like he’s worked himself into good form again. Might hold onto him for now.
GG
If Coach Clarkson remains clear of mind he will leave Colby Mc at half back (and Harry Sheez in mids) and both will ton up regular…BUT coaches seem determined to play good types out of position…WHY???
Trying to think outside the square for a POD and was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on Sam Walsh. At $489K he is a good price and seems to have turned the corner on his fitness and form.
Want to get Butters (priority) and Jordan Clark this week. This would mean sacrificing Gawn and getting TDK as my second ruck because of the cash differential.
T/U – do it.
T/D – keep Gawn and look at Tom Stewart instead of Clark.
Comment – other.
“It was the view of the MRO (Match Review Officer) that Stewart’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and did not constitute a reportable offence,” the findings read.
Going prior and moraes to butters and Johnson
3rd trade – Lindsey to Mills this week?
Can’t wait till next week as the Lindsey price drop will take mills out of reach in one trade. Will have 22 this week with Mills.
OUT – Roberts, Lindsay & E Hewett
IN – NWM, Butters & Johnson
9 trades left. Still needing a final MID & FWD.
Unsure if I should keep Roberts. Is trading to NWM a bit sideways and think maybe I should concentrate on those final onfield rookies.
TU – yep do those trades
TD – keep Roberts.
You’ll lose about 90 points over the rest of the year by going TDK over Gawn (110 × 11 = 1,120 versus 130 × 10 = 1,300), so unless that extra $60k can get you an extra 10 ppg on field, I’d wait for Gawn.
Oh, just realised the whole point of that trade was cash for the other two. What about a short term cash booster like Z Johnson or Dewar instead of Mills? Could grab Mills for one of those dead mids next week and have a bit more cash potential. Those 7 trades left might not be able to do anything without some money. Dewar has an added bonus in that he gets games which could help if things get REALLY tight
Down to 8 trades now and struggling for the cash gen to complete my team.
Thinking an option would be to trade Zorko down to Mills as D6 (next week post-bye) to help enable the final 3 premo upgrades. Have TDK as Flex, so Mills would then be the 23rd man and the only non-premo for the run in.
Trade Merrett to Butters? I have already have 6 premos in the last bye and need to trade a premo to get Butters.
TU: Do it
TD: save the trade and pass on Butters (probs won’t be able to get him in for rest of season)
2 rooks left fielded, should have enough to get Mills next week which will leave me 1 spot left which will likely be JHF but will need few weeks of cash gen from my non existent rooks.
Absolutely. But not all to do with injuries either. I see the flex as an opportunity to have an extra player from a high scoring position and have your 23rd “weakest” player in whatever position has the weakest options (for me, that’s the forward line)
Are you suggesting Neale to McKercher till the end off the season (based on McKercher having 2 good weeks out of 13) will improve your team and Mills is a top 6 defender.
Hi Coaches,
Would really appreciate some advice on what to do this week.
Sinclair, Holmes, Clark, Whitfield, Rozee, Sheezel (Carroll, Busslinger)
Bont, Anderson,Merrett, Petracca, Daicos, Serong, Caldwell, Lindsay ( Knevitt, Hustwaite, El-Hawli)
Xerri, TDK (L. Reidy)
Smith, Macrae, Rankine, Daniel, Hewett, Erasmus ( C. Gray, T.Gross)
Angus Clarke
Itb-204,700 Trades 13 Boosts 2
Thinking of going M.Knevitt to Zak Johnson. And then either
TU- Lindsay -> McKercher
TD- Lindsay -> Butters
If I go Lindsay to Butters I will need more cash so I am thinking of going Whitfield or Sheezel down to Callum Mills next week.
Is it better to have Butters and Mills
or McKercher and keep Whitfield/Sheezel.
It is a good defence I would not play with it unless you have heaps of trades.
Mills and McKercher outscoring Sheezel and Whitfield by the end of the season not so sure.
Don’t know how you do it but Lindsay out, Butters and Z Johnson in like everyone else.
What is the better option
TU- Carrol/Campbell->NWM as third trade for this week and possibly have trouble getting Bont if he becomes a must get next week
RP…HH is actually named Centre…are they joking?.. Have him on bench and want him playing and busting for the final interchange and SUB selections as I do not trust all clubs and their Thursday night fantasy selections …If HH gets The Sub vest it kills any chance of money growth..if he does get a full game it helps big time as he has BE of -9
Flynn Lash Lindsay Neale > Butters NAS Kerch Johnson
TU Good Trades
TD Bad Trades
Still leaves me with 13 Trades and 1 upgrade left. Roberts D6 Kerch + Sheldrick
Went Flynn, Trainor & Cleary to TDK, Clarke & Pedlar last week
Def – Sinclair, Dale, Sheezel, Roberts, Clarke, Gray (Stone, El-Hawli)
Mid – Neale, Holmes, Trac, Naicos, Rozee, W.Ashcroft, Warner Lindsey (Knevitt, C.Hall, Huswaite)
Ruc – Xerri, TDK (Boyd)
Fwd – Smith, Macrae, JHF, Bolton, Rankine, Daniel (L Ashcroft, Pedlar)
Flex – Marshall
$203,700 ITB, 17 trades left, 2 boosts
Going Lindsay & L.Ashcroft to Butters and Z.Johnson.
Is it worth going early on Tom McCarthy? Like many my bench is cooked.
Any help, advice, or feedback would be appreciated
Is Gray > Dewar worth using a 3rd trade for?
Would leave me with 8 left. Looking for ways to make money and do my final upgrade when JHF bottoms out in a couple weeks. Any alternatives are appreciated!
Simpon Hastie > Dewar McCarthy
Gives me Fwd/Mid flex and mid/def flex and better bench hygiene. 13 Trades still left.
TU: Worth 2 trades
TD: Not worth it
Decisions!
Would be nice to include Butters like a lot of people, but I would kind of need to release a Pickett, Daniels, Rankine, Bolton type I have floating through the mids to facilitate the trade. Generally like all of those Mid/Fwd’s immediate or ending matchups and don’t see an easy lamb to slaughter.
TU: Worth it, sacrifice one to bring in Butters.
TD: Not necessary during B18 and wait and see.
Have Warner as my flex. Was thinking I’d prefer TDK as my flex (have Sims at R3) If I was to get him, now would be the week with Warner in bye and TDK easy game.
Will leave me 9 trades
Hewitt to Mills next week in 1 trade.
Leaves me with 1 premo to get once Clarke, Johnson and Pedlar make a bit more cash
Really need the Zorko > Mills cash and can’t really afford to lose $30k off Zorko if he sub-tons again today. Considering doing it today and fielding Clarke.
Is this too much of a risk, or is there a chance Zorko gets a good score today? What’s the likelihood he is kept quiet by GWS?
TU: Just do it. Unlikely anything weird happens to Mills before he plays next week and Zorko isn’t gonna ton.
TD: Zorko could drop a 120, but safer to wait and take the cash loss.
Soligo, E.Hewit, M.Robert to Butters, Z.Johnson, NWM 6 trades left after but full premo
Hugh Jackson anyone? Enough JS to make a few quid over the next few weeks?
I’m also wondering exactly the same thing for cheap DPP flexibility in byes if he’s in my top 18 scorers and with plenty of trades left that bit of extra cash when the time comes as I feel he’s just starting to properly find his feet at AFL level hopefully giving him enough JS and confidence to make handy cash until I cop an injury or some other SC emergency haha

Best Carlton Mid Premo to get for the run in
TU: Cerra
TD: Cripps
Comment: Hewett
Following on from above…
Best premo option to finish MID:
TU: Carlton Mid (Cerra/Cripps/Hewett)
TD: T Green
7 trades left. Only really need one more upgrade to finish my team with 23 so called prems.
TU: Gray and Brock to McCarthy and Mills next week. Leave Roberts. 5 trades left.
TD: Already done 2 trades this week. Roberts to Walsh as well this week and the same 2 trades next week. Leaves 4 trades.
I would hold fire. Brock has money to make, McCarthy hasnt played yet and is Mills a keeper?
With so few trades tread carefully.
Is Tyler dewar from West Coast worth bringing in?
Rookie mids head to head
TU ZAK Johnson
TD Hugh Jackson
Hey guys….I’m worried about Whitfield’s new role in the wing n half forward. ASH is taking all his kick in and playing that stable back role. Looking at mills for finals D6 spot. What u think?
i’m hoping the GWS coach realises how often Ash butchers the ball and put an end to it.
Out: Gray, Cooper Simpson
In: Johnson, Butters
Gets rid of 2 dead rookies and gets in Butters. Leaves me with 13 trades, 1 rookie on field (Brock), Flynn in flex, and Roberts. Cash gen on all lines, Erasmus on bench in FWD line should hit 280-300k.
TU: E Hewitt to McKertcher this week
TD: E Hewitt to Mills next week
Mills is $35k cheaper and Hewitt should make another $30k this week.
No other avenues to Colby mate?
Butters coming in this week as number 21 premo.
If i use a $99k rookie, i can just enough cash to go Hewitt to Colby with $900 left.
I think i prefer to wait and get Mills. It will put an extra $65k in the kitty to get my final 23rd premo once the last rookies fatten up.
Trade out Noah anderson and nick daicos
Trade in butters and bontempelli
Keeping it simple this week.
Prior, Lindsay to Butters, G. Hewett
TU/TD
Lindsay’s 19 stuffed my trade plans so now looking at these alternatives
Tu: Lindsay, Fonti to Rozee, McCarthy, $13K inb, 7 trades left
Td: Roberts, Lindsay to Butters, Johnson, $140k inb, 7 trades left
Tu means fonti is D6 who becomes mills next week and then just Hewett at F6 to upgrade
Td means hold roberts and just Hewett at F6 to upgade but fade Butters
Flynn, Prior and Hustwaite to NWM, Butters and Johnson. Nine trades left and full premo, though some underperforming atm
who’s the best defender for Z Reid? Already have NWM and Whitfield, was thinking about Ash, have enough coin for anyone. Suggestions?
sinclair aint a bad option
Jordan Clarke is very consistent if you don’t have him
thinking lindsay and lashcroft for butters and zjohnson
TU/TD?
Like everyone else I think.
Struggling with the decision to round up a final mid lineup
Tu heeney for butters
Td Rowell for butters
I’ve had Heeney all year, he’s been frustrating, but looks like he may finally be getting into form – Mills is back, Gulden isn’t far off, helps free him up for his usual role, plus just looks like he’s worked himself into good form again. Might hold onto him for now.
You musnt have too many other problems.
Lindsay Lash Roberts > Butters NWM Johnson
TU: Good Trades
TD: Bad Trades
how much better do you think NWM will be than Roberts?
Quite a bit!
NWM is cheap. go for it
Which of these is LEAST likely to get a game in next few weeks and should be traded
TU: Hustwaite
TD: Boxshall
Zorko to Butters
I Already have 7 defender eligible premos and have a lot on the r16 bye
TU/TD?
TU: Butters
TD: NWM
Lindsay, Ashcroft, Roberts to Butters, Darcy and Z Johnston.
Still have EHewitt, Durdin, Boxshall and Clarke to upgrade with 10 trades after this.
TU yes gives you 2 keepers
TD no focus on lower cost premos first
Which Ashcroft? Which Darcy?
I’m guessing Levi and Sam. Only the extremely well positioned would trade Will and absolutely no-one would trade for Sean. I hope……
Sam Darcy with a 191 BE is still a bit of a wait though surely
Feedback on these trades? I have 9 left after this and 165k itb.
Tsatas > Johnson
Roberts > Butters
(Idea is then target Mills at D6 next week)
So basically I’m doing Roberts > Mills to afford Butters. Worth it?
TU – Worth the trades
TD – Rethink
Daicos and Ned Long for Butterz & NWM?? Bank 50k..for last fwd Premos.
Full
Finding it hard to not go Merrett to Butters and Marshall to TDK.
TU do it
TD waste of trades

Anything else you would do? Really wanted NAS also but may have to leave this week, it was Butters or NAS.
Flynn < McKercher worth a trade in Flex?
TU: Yes
TD: No

If Coach Clarkson remains clear of mind he will leave Colby Mc at half back (and Harry Sheez in mids) and both will ton up regular…BUT coaches seem determined to play good types out of position…WHY???
Doing Lindsay and lashcroft -> Butters and Johnson
Do I also trade a Matt Carrol or a Campbell Gray to NWM or Clark?
If you can afford it why not.
It’s moving week after building the Trump Chest
Out – X Lindsay / C Simpson / H Hustwaite and R’OB
In – M Bont / Z Butters / T Xerri / Z Johnson
11 trades, 1 Boost and 2 Premo Defenders to go. $162K in bank
Trump Chest? You must have enough money to bankroll a small country. That’s crazy stack building.
Hope you are scoring well with that cash in the bank.
If you not in the top 10 with 1.2 mil sitting in your bank than you got rocks in your head.
What are the early thoughts on Callum Mills? Is he worth a straight swap from Flynn in flex next week?
Trying to think outside the square for a POD and was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on Sam Walsh. At $489K he is a good price and seems to have turned the corner on his fitness and form.
T/U – go for it
T/D – better options
He has been killing me since Round 1 but now I might hold.
its now or never looking at his soft draw.
TU: Kerch
TD: Mills
If picking 1
Want to get Butters (priority) and Jordan Clark this week. This would mean sacrificing Gawn and getting TDK as my second ruck because of the cash differential.
T/U – do it.
T/D – keep Gawn and look at Tom Stewart instead of Clark.
Comment – other.
Stewart is suspended I think
Stewart wasn’t suspended.
“It was the view of the MRO (Match Review Officer) that Stewart’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and did not constitute a reportable offence,” the findings read.
Trolling??
LAshcroft and Humphries to Butters and Kennedy (Bulldogs)
Need one more FWD maybe McCrae after he plays two more games will be $25K cheaper
Going prior and moraes to butters and Johnson
3rd trade – Lindsey to Mills this week?
Can’t wait till next week as the Lindsey price drop will take mills out of reach in one trade. Will have 22 this week with Mills.
Could you hold Moraes instead maybe? Shouldn’t be facing too much of a cash drop
Who would you trade first?
TU Roberts
TD Warner
Hold both
TU: Dunkley
TD: Daicos
Comment: McCluggage or Holmes next wk
Dunks, McCluggage, and Holmes have r16 bye
If Rd 16 byes not an issue, who’s the better MID premo?
OUT – Roberts, Lindsay & E Hewett
IN – NWM, Butters & Johnson
9 trades left. Still needing a final MID & FWD.
Unsure if I should keep Roberts. Is trading to NWM a bit sideways and think maybe I should concentrate on those final onfield rookies.
TU – yep do those trades
TD – keep Roberts.
Which of these two is an option?
TU – Docherty
TD – McKercher
TU: McCarthy
TD: Hugh Jackson
New trade idea as looks like Butters is a must have
Tu: Fonti, Lindsay, Carroll to Butters, Johnson, McCarthy or Jackson.
30k inb and hold Roberts another week. Can turn to mills next week if it looks like his role is affected
Td: Roberts, Lindsay to Butters, Johnson.
$140k inb and Fonti becomes mills next week
THIS WEEK
Bowery and M Flynn ——————> Butters and T McCarthy
NEXT WEEK
Hustwaite —————-> D Prestia
Is it worth it to trade Flynn after I held him (BE 68)
Also aiming for a league win and don’t really care about overall score Any advice helps 🙂
I’m currently ranked top 170
I’ve got about 160k ITB
Currently have Flynn at R2
Is it worth trading him to TDK or waiting a little bit to get him to Max?
TU – Move Flynn to TDK this week, fading Max for the season.
TD – Hold Flynn this week with a BE of 68 and get him to Max after their bye.
You’ll lose about 90 points over the rest of the year by going TDK over Gawn (110 × 11 = 1,120 versus 130 × 10 = 1,300), so unless that extra $60k can get you an extra 10 ppg on field, I’d wait for Gawn.
My trades are going down but my ranking is still going up.
Trades this week.
Out – Ashcroft Flynn and Zorko
In – Mills Docherry and Butters
Leaves me with $700 in the bank.
Down to 7 trades.
This trade helps me thru future bye rounds.
My problem is cash generation is minimal.
On the bench I have Carroll Husthwaite Boxhall Allan Boyd Gray and Kako not really going up in value.
If I wait on this trade I will not be able to afford it next round so it’s now or never.
Holding Flynn and waiting a week on Mills is the penny-pinching option I would go for
Oh, just realised the whole point of that trade was cash for the other two.
Butters is a good trade.
Who to trade in
TU = Holmes
TD= Jordan Clark
TU: Yes
TD: No
Trade Merrett to Butters? I have already have 6 premos in the last bye and need to trade a premo to get Butters.
TU: Do it
TD: save the trade and pass on Butters (probs won’t be able to get him in for rest of season)
I would think this is the cheapest Butters will be.
Which option:
T/u – Mills (team finished with 5 trades left)
T/d – Rozee (team finished with 4 trades left)
Lindsay – Butters
Gray – Johnson
2 rooks left fielded, should have enough to get Mills next week which will leave me 1 spot left which will likely be JHF but will need few weeks of cash gen from my non existent rooks.
What do we think is the best option/position to have in flex??
TU – Ruckman, in case one of R1 – R2 get injured.
TD – DPP player who can cover a couple of different lines.
Hi Marcus.
For me, the ability to have all 3 of Gawn, Xerri and TDK is a no brainer. Consistently high points and solid vc/captain picks every week.
Yeah nice Stu, that was my exact thought process, nice to have that insurance if one of them get injured!
Absolutely. But not all to do with injuries either. I see the flex as an opportunity to have an extra player from a high scoring position and have your 23rd “weakest” player in whatever position has the weakest options (for me, that’s the forward line)
Is Neale to McKercher viable this week? It would allow me to go a dead rookie to up to Mills in one trade next week
TU/TD
Are you suggesting Neale to McKercher till the end off the season (based on McKercher having 2 good weeks out of 13) will improve your team and Mills is a top 6 defender.
Hi Coaches,
Would really appreciate some advice on what to do this week.
Sinclair, Holmes, Clark, Whitfield, Rozee, Sheezel (Carroll, Busslinger)
Bont, Anderson,Merrett, Petracca, Daicos, Serong, Caldwell, Lindsay ( Knevitt, Hustwaite, El-Hawli)

Is it better to have Butters and Mills
or McKercher and keep Whitfield/Sheezel.
Thank you for your help in advance.
It is a good defence I would not play with it unless you have heaps of trades.
Mills and McKercher outscoring Sheezel and Whitfield by the end of the season not so sure.
Don’t know how you do it but Lindsay out, Butters and Z Johnson in like everyone else.
TU- Dunkley + Nic Madden
TD- TDK (move Nank to Flex) + Hugh Jackson
What is the better option
TU- Carrol/Campbell->NWM as third trade for this week and possibly have trouble getting Bont if he becomes a must get next week
TD- Bank the cash for Bont
Is Marshall to TDK too sideways at R2? Feel like TDK is a safer and more consistent premo and don’t think I can afford Gawn
Xerri R1 with 10 trades left and 20 premiums (incl. Marshall) – $159k ITB
TU – Bring in TDK
TD – Hold Marshall and cop his price drop
Who best to trade in this week?
TU – NWM
TD – Jordan Clark
Which out of these 3 players should i trade. I have 88k and want butters johnson and maybe another upgrade.
Kane mcaullife, matt roberts, nankervis, pedlar, archer day wicks, max hall, hustwaite, chad warner,
Thanks in advance
Hustwaite Definitely out of those 8 then whoever you need to upgrade depending on funds.
Day Wicks if it gets you someone but depends on your team
…now Hustwaite is playing so back to the drawing board
RP…HH is actually named Centre…are they joking?.. Have him on bench and want him playing and busting for the final interchange and SUB selections as I do not trust all clubs and their Thursday night fantasy selections …If HH gets The Sub vest it kills any chance of money growth..if he does get a full game it helps big time as he has BE of -9
Is it crazy to trade RoMa to TDK as R2
I’d only have 6 trades left if I do, currently need one more mid Premo and Flex Premo if I can but don’t think I’ll get a flex premo.

Yeah, not ideal!

Some poor perferming prems like Warner Rankine Merrit and Zorko.

Get Butters at this price. Rankin role uncertain, hasn’t tonned up for a while
neale for butters
tu good
td bad
Already got Butters this week
Have Warner as my flex. Was thinking I’d prefer TDK as my flex (have Sims at R3) If I was to get him, now would be the week with Warner in bye and TDK easy game.
Will leave me 9 trades
Hewitt to Mills next week in 1 trade.
Leaves me with 1 premo to get once Clarke, Johnson and Pedlar make a bit more cash
TU: Warner to TDK
TD: keep Warner as flex and save the trade
Only
Sorry – Posted on wrong thread….
Who to Trade Out?
TU: Maric
TD: Kossie Pickett
Looking to next week (Cash Cow on bubble downgrade to get funds for premo)
Who has better JS?
TU- Jack Martin
TD- Sam Butler
