  1. Currently thinking I’ll definitely do Lindsay and Levi to Butters and Johnson. Was also potentially thinking of going Oliver to NWM.
Thoughts? This leaves me with 21 premos and 11 trades.
TU – Just do the two trades
TD – Do the third trade too (Oliver to NWM)

    • I’m also wondering exactly the same thing for cheap DPP flexibility in byes if he’s in my top 18 scorers and with plenty of trades left that bit of extra cash when the time comes as I feel he’s just starting to properly find his feet at AFL level hopefully giving him enough JS and confidence to make handy cash until I cop an injury or some other SC emergency haha

  2. Trading LAshcroft and Lindsay to NWM and Butters leaves me with 9 trades left so do I also turn a dead rookie into Johnson? It would give me the cash to straight swap Brock to Mills next week and get to full ”premo”

    TU: yes
    TD: no

  3. I’m set on Z. Reid and Lindsay out for NWM and Z. Johnson (or an alternate rookie if he’s not named).
I can bring in Butters or TDK, or I can use my last boost to bring in both (Houston and Flynn out). That would leave me with the following (with 10 trades and 30k for flex and potential uber-upgrades):

    Sinclair / Holmes / Rozee / Martin / NWM / Roberts // Clarke / Brock
    Neale / Dawson / Butters / Merrett / Cerra / Rowell / Naicos / Oliver // Z. Johnson / Charleson / Gross
    Gawn / TDK // Boyd
    Smith / Macrae / Petracca / Rankine / Daniel / Bolton // Pedlar / Dudley
    Visentini

TU: Boost for TDK and Butters
TD: Pick one and keep my last boost

      • That’s definitely food for thought. His last four game average is around 90 and he might take care of any niggles with a week off. I don’t need him this week, so I could hold him and upgrade later if necessary. Thanks.

Trading C.Gray to Johnson via DPP already which leaves 250K in the bank

Butters probably is as cheap as he will get but the only way I can grab him is a straight upgrade on Hewett who still has more $$ to make. Would leave me only Clarke and Johnson as on field rookies in the 23

    TU – pull the trigger
    TD – hold trades/cash

    Thanks guys!

TU: Gray and Brock to McCarthy and Mills next week. Leave Roberts. 5 trades left.

TD: Already done 2 trades this week. Roberts to Walsh as well this week and the same 2 trades next week. Leaves 4 trades.

    In: Johnson, Butters

Gets rid of 2 dead rookies and gets in Butters. Leaves me with 13 trades, 1 rookie on field (Brock), Flynn in flex, and Roberts. Cash gen on all lines, Erasmus on bench in FWD line should hit 280-300k.

      • Butters coming in this week as number 21 premo.

If i use a $99k rookie, i can just enough cash to go Hewitt to Colby with $900 left.

I think i prefer to wait and get Mills. It will put an extra $65k in the kitty to get my final 23rd premo once the last rookies fatten up.

  9. Lindsay’s 19 stuffed my trade plans so now looking at these alternatives

Tu: Lindsay, Fonti to Rozee, McCarthy, $13K inb, 7 trades left
Td: Roberts, Lindsay to Butters, Johnson, $140k inb, 7 trades left

Tu means fonti is D6 who becomes mills next week and then just Hewett at F6 to upgrade

Td means hold roberts and just Hewett at F6 to upgade but fade Butters

    Roberts > Butters

So basically I’m doing Roberts > Mills to afford Butters. Worth it?

    • You’ll lose about 90 points over the rest of the year by going TDK over Gawn (110 × 11 = 1,120 versus 130 × 10 = 1,300), so unless that extra $60k can get you an extra 10 ppg on field, I’d wait for Gawn.

    Trades this week.

Out – Ashcroft Flynn and Zorko
In – Mills Docherry and Butters

Leaves me with $700 in the bank.
    Down to 7 trades.

This trade helps me thru future bye rounds.

My problem is cash generation is minimal.

On the bench I have Carroll Husthwaite Boxhall Allan Boyd Gray and Kako not really going up in value.

If I wait on this trade I will not be able to afford it next round so it’s now or never.

      • Oh, just realised the whole point of that trade was cash for the other two. What about a short term cash booster like Z Johnson or Dewar instead of Mills? Could grab Mills for one of those dead mids next week and have a bit more cash potential. Those 7 trades left might not be able to do anything without some money. Dewar has an added bonus in that he gets games which could help if things get REALLY tight

Thinking an option would be to trade Zorko down to Mills as D6 (next week post-bye) to help enable the final 3 premo upgrades. Have TDK as Flex, so Mills would then be the 23rd man and the only non-premo for the run in.

For me, the ability to have all 3 of Gawn, Xerri and TDK is a no brainer. Consistently high points and solid vc/captain picks every week.

        • Absolutely. But not all to do with injuries either. I see the flex as an opportunity to have an extra player from a high scoring position and have your 23rd “weakest” player in whatever position has the weakest options (for me, that’s the forward line)

  29. Hi Coaches,
Would really appreciate some advice on what to do this week.
Sinclair, Holmes, Clark, Whitfield, Rozee, Sheezel (Carroll, Busslinger)
Bont, Anderson,Merrett, Petracca, Daicos, Serong, Caldwell, Lindsay ( Knevitt, Hustwaite, El-Hawli)
    Xerri, TDK (L. Reidy)
Smith, Macrae, Rankine, Daniel, Hewett, Erasmus ( C. Gray, T.Gross)
    Angus Clarke
    Itb-204,700 Trades 13 Boosts 2

Thinking of going M.Knevitt to Zak Johnson. And then either
    TU- Lindsay -> McKercher
    TD- Lindsay -> Butters
If I go Lindsay to Butters I will need more cash so I am thinking of going Whitfield or Sheezel down to Callum Mills next week.
Is it better to have Butters and Mills
    or McKercher and keep Whitfield/Sheezel.

Have him on bench and want him playing and busting for the final interchange and SUB selections as I do not trust all clubs and their Thursday night fantasy selections …If HH gets The Sub vest it kills any chance of money growth..if he does get a full game it helps big time as he has BE of -9

Would be nice to include Butters like a lot of people, but I would kind of need to release a Pickett, Daniels, Rankine, Bolton type I have floating through the mids to facilitate the trade. Really need the Zorko > Mills cash and can’t really afford to lose $30k off Zorko if he sub-tons again today. Considering doing it today and fielding Clarke.

Is this too much of a risk, or is there a chance Zorko gets a good score today? What’s the likelihood he is kept quiet by GWS?

TU: Just do it. Unlikely anything weird happens to Mills before he plays next week and Zorko isn’t gonna ton.

TD: Zorko could drop a 120, but safer to wait and take the cash loss.
