  1. Going full premo with 2 trades

    B Smith – Sicily
    ROB – Bont/ J Kelly (via DPP’s)

Second trade will depend on kelly diagnosis.

    18

  2. M Hore to J Sicily.

    Def complete of J Lloyd, S Hurn, R Laird, Z Williams, J Sicily, H Andrews, (G Logue, R Gardner)

2 trades left and 103,500 to allow Hately to Menegola via a downgrade at a latter stage.

    1. 2 trades??? That’s going to be mighty hard over the next 7 weeks. I’d suggest going with Logue for now.

      4

      2
      1. I’ve got the same problem but 4 trades and I’m just going to play Logue and leave Hore on the bench for now.

        1

    1. Z.Williams has been the pick of the year if you had him from the beginning imo. What other options do you have for that Hore upgrade?

      8

      1
    2. Williams will be affected by Whitfield’s return, only averages 89 with him in the side. So maybe look elsewhere or wait to see Whitfield’s impact, Tyson.

      10

      2
  3. Time to upgrade Hore

    T/U Sicily
    T/D Ryan

Only Logue to upgrade to complete the full premo with potential targets being Whitfield/Stewart/One of Sicily or Ryan.

  4. I’d like to thank Reilly O’Brien for his services to the Champs in 2019. I’m not sure how many rookies have ever made $400K+ in the history of Supercoach, but I’m quite certain it’s a very small number. Barlow is the only one who comes to mind…

    O’Brien -> Westhoff (via Bines)
DClarke -> premium def under $495K, yet to be decided

    22

    1. My name is Brodie Grundy. I’d also like to thank you Rob for keeping my spot warm for much of the season. I wish you well for the future.
While I’m at it, whats more important for my second trade this week.
      T/u Duursma to Stewart/Ryan
T/d Stain Gresham to anybody !!

      17

      5
  5. D Clarke > K Dunkley
    Logue > Sicily

Make trade by $200! Last trade to get me to full primo other than B Smith, 4 trades left. Will turn Smith into Whitfield if viable down the track.

    7

    7
  6. My defs: Z.Williams, Lloyd, Laird, Ryan, Sicily, Hore, Logue, Gardner.

    TU: Hore > Hurn
    TD: Hore > Whitfield

  7. Plan was to finish my team with Josh Kelly this week but given he’s injured need another player. Thus, I ask:

Who is the best midfielder irrespective of price?

Currently have: Neale, Macrae, Cripps, Fyfe, Oliver, Sloane and M Crouch

    1

    0
    1. I think if kelly injury is serious then cogs is the go, seems to have found good form and has been scoring well this year in the games with jelly out.
Otherwise I really like treloar as a pod or Cunnington because he’s a contested ball machine.

      2

      2
    2. Hold your horses, ATL. We don’t know the extent of his injury, could just have been a nasty corkie which required icing and him to be done for the day; which is what FoxFooty said at the time. If he’s fine and next week, bring him in.

      10

      3
  8. Brad crouch, worpedo or jez who is the biggest problem and the first of my 4 premo luxury trades for the year gearing up for SC finals?

T/U any of them, not good picks
T/D hold your 5 trades for injuries

    5

    22
    1. Jezza Cameron MAY come good when Whitfield returns. Will have a look at the with/without stats and post something later in the week.

      1

      0
    1. Go with JJ if going with players in that price bracket. L Ryan is massively overrated. Plays loose man behind the ball and gets no contested ball. His positions don’t accumulate to many points.

      4

      4
  9. 220k in bank 8 trades left
    M8 D.Clarke M9 Bewley
    F7 Setterfield

Bewley to any rookie (Dpp M/F) and then Clarke to

    TU Josh P Kennedy
    TD Gaff

    10

    13
    1. I like it, be a nice pod and scoring really well lately. Found a nice role in the swans side. Although if you don’t have Sicily I would consider him too after his game on the weekend hopefully it means clarko is going to stop trying to put him forward and he can continue to go big for 100k cheaper than Rampe.

      5

      0
      1. My defense consist of J.Lloyd, S.Hurn,R.Laird,J.Sicily,Crisp

I’m planning to go Rampe bit cheaper so i can have a bit of cash to focus on my last two mid

        4

        1
  10. I feel like it’s far too early to make trade calls with so many injury clouds on premos.

But I really want to go: Hore> Sicily.

SCT gang, I need you to tell me if I’m going insane: I’m contemplating downgrading Bewley into Bines (via DPP) in order to set up the following the next week:

    ROB>Lycett/Marshall
    Smith>Whitfield

Would leave me marching into finals with 4 trades at the end of next week.

TU: You’ve lost the plot mate
TD: That doesn’t sound that bad

    0

    28
  11. I may have lost the plot but this could move could win me 50k.

Kelly out for 1-3 I imagine. Which means you’d want him during the SC finals. I can trade ROB to a loophole and get Hawkins, who has a soft draft for F6, swing Heeney into the middle and hold Kelly. Logue can go to Whitfield next week. When Kelly returns in Round 19-20 I can then swing Heeney forward and loophole him and Hawkins for F6. 4 trades left full premo plus 1?

    T/U Great move

    T/D Just sideways Kelly

    20

    0
    1. The fact that you can go full premium plus one with 4 trades left is awesome! Go for it I say

      1

      0
  12. TU: Hore to Hurn, hold Greene and 70k cash
TD: Hore to Stewart, Greene to Billings/Gray

    10

    17
  13. How long will Sinclair be out for? I’m thinking about Allir Aliir as a cheap Hore replacement (sorry that sounded wrong).

    10

    0
    1. For the record I’m about $3 to $4K off being able to afford Sicily with what I have in the bank. Given that it’s carnage season, I’d rather not burn two trades over this if I don’t have to.

      2

      0
    2. He’ll be out for at least a month. Trying to recover from a twice dislocated shoulder without surgery. Official estimate is 3 – 4 weeks, but take into account match fitness and contact work and it could be 5.

Shame you’re 4k short of Sicily, Sal. In terms of budget options below 433k, I think you’re onto something with Aliir. Your other options would be Andrews, Ellis, Hartlett or Blakely. Out of those, I’d roll the dice on Aliir.

      5

  14. Current team

Def: Whitfield, Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Sicily, Logue (Answerth, Hinge)

Mid: Macrae, J. Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Oliver, Neale, Sloane, D. Clarke (Setterfield, Bewley, Hind)

    Ruck: Grundy, Gawn (O.Brien)

For: Dangerfield, Dunkley, Boak, T. Kelly, Heeney, Chol (Baker, Young)

Have 7 trades left, but will trade ROB this week for plenty of profit. Can probably get anyone I want to fill the one last spot in my defense, midfield and forward line. Who would you guys be going as the last spot in each line?

    4

    1
  15. 4 trades left. Playing for league, only non premium person in my team is logue. Also have a very underperforming premium in Jeremy cameron. Do I luxury trade or hold him and hope that he can score decent in upcoming weeks? (His a massive pod within the league)
    TU – Hold
    TD – Trade

    26

    4
  16. You’re in a tough spot, Charlie.

Assuming it’ll take 2 trades for you to get Logue up to a premium defender, a downgrade to free up cash and then the actual trade itself. That leaves you with 2 trades, 1 if you trade out Cameron this week and do the Logue upgrade the week after.

Now, 1 trade with 4 rounds to go is a bit precarious which I why I would say hold Cameron but I’ve just taken a look at GWS’ run it doesn’t look like his scoring is going to turn around any time soon.

They’ve got Richmond, Collingwood, Port, Sydney, Hawthorn, Dogs and Suns left to go. All those games, bar Gold Coast, will be competitive and I don’t see Cameron kicking huge bags of goals; even 4 goals usually only gets 100~ SC. Even if he does kick a few each game, he’ll still be outscored, I think, by other popular F6s like Heeney and Westhoff.

It’s purely down to whether you want to take the risk, Charlie. If you trade him out to a better FWD option, sure you’ll be netting points but are you willing to risk only having 1 for 4 weeks?

    It’s up to you.

    4

    0
  17. Might be a week late on Cameron(WCE),but can still afford. Has his JS improved from Saturdays performance? Clearly needs to kick goals to score, think he kicked 4 from 7 possies on the weekend. Rioli’didn’t see much of it might go first.
Full premium but have Fort, Bines and Young stinking it up on the bench and with Boak out took a donut. 5 trades left , keeping them for essential outs but a solid JS from Cameron would cure a lot of ills for the side.
TU Do the trade for Young
TD Got unlucky with Boak being out, wait for something more solid.

  18. Duurmsa needs to go this week, question is who do I bring in?
Only have 4 trades remaining… Last spot to fill. Plying for overall.

Tu; Full price premo (whitfield/stewart), will require 2 trades

Td; Mid price/fallen premo (420k worth), will require 1 trade

    1

    4
  19. Last premo needed at M8. 7 trades remaining.

Bench is currently Baker, Cameron and Bewley.

Thinking Baker into J.Dunkley and M8 Clarke into….

    TU: Neale
    TD: Bont

    17

    3
  20. 6 trades left, 1 spot at M8 to full premo, do I :

use 1 trade (Walsh $422k + 96k bank) to afford Pendles, JPK or Shiel

use 2 trades, offload either Hately,Bewley,Hind to cheapo rookie and with Walsh have 630K to get Bont/Sloane

    T/U : 1 trade
    T/D : 2 trades

    1

    14
    1. I reckon the second option, on the assumption that your team is good across the rest of the field.

      1

      1. rest of the team is good across the field on the assumption Cripps, Gawn, Boak and Cogs are ok to play in rd17 haha

” May the SC Gods smile upon you All”

    Q: for last Def spot.
( have : Lloyd Williams Whitfield Laird Crisp / Logue & Naish )

    TU Hurn
    TD Stewart
    Thanx Again !

  23. Currently thinking…

Hately or Bewley > Hanrahan (Via Setters)
    then
Daniel > Parker (Via Setters again)

Leaves me with only Logue (def) and Setters (fwd) on field rookies.

    and my mid complete with…
    Macrae, J.Kelly, Parker, Fyfe
    Cripps, Oliver, Neale, M.Crouch

It allows Logue, D.Clarke and Setters to fatten a little more before upgrading them.
    – Hopefully Logue to Whitfield when his price drops a bit.
    – Then Setters to a the best Premo fwd at the time.

Left with 7 trades and $70,800 in bank after doing these trades.

    Thoughts?

    5

    0
    1. You’re making Setters dizzy. Just trade Daniel to Hanrahan and Bewley or Hately to Parker and leave poor old Setters rest.

      1

      0
  24. Have 5 trades left with 187k in the bank prior to this round. Have 1 upgrade remaining for D and M.

T/U – ROB/Hately to Bines/Bont with 297k left over. Louge at D6 for another week.
T/D – Louge to Sicily. ROB can wit another week. Answerth/Hately/Clark at M8.

    9

    2
  25. Draft Question (Keeper league)

Should I trade Rory Laird for:
    Billings
    McLean
    Rich
    Wines
    Heppell

Seems like a win win right?

    Up – yes
    Down – No

    1

    11
  26. Logue>Sicily

    TU – Do this week
    TD – Wait

Doing it would leave me with 3 trades, 2 mids to upgrade with $70k cash. Not counting injuries. Ouch

    3

    12
  27. 6 trades need to upgrade one defender Logue at D6 (Answerth and Rotham and one midfielder with Clarke at M8 (Hately, Wills and Hayes). With nothing in the bank any ideas?

    0

    2
  28. Have 8 trades left, but only $3k in the bank.
D: Williams, Lloyd, Hurn, Sicily, Smith, Hore (Logue, Answerth)
M: Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Oliver, Neale, Zerrett, JPK, MCrouch (Setters, Clarke, Bewley)
    R: Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
F: Danger, TKelly, Lycett, RGray, Heeney, Greene (Chol, RYoung)

Was thinking of holding this week and playing Logue. Downgrading Setters in a week or 2 with a cheap mid/fwd, keeping the swing open, then upgrading Smith and Hore with the profits.
    TU: Sounds good.
    TD: There’s better options.

    4

    1
    1. Sounds good to me BUT if you have the time – just as an extra safeguard, put the E on Logue and see how he goes on Saturday arvo before you make your final decision…

      5

      0
      1. Sadly I work in a pub, so keeping an eye on things Saturday arvo isn’t always possible! But it’s a great thought and I’ll do my best, Cheers!

  29. ROB —> Hanrahan via Bines
    Burgess —> Sicily

Leaves me with 6 trades 200k bank & Stack as M8 to be traded to Bont or Sloane most likely whenever the time comes.

    8

    0
  30. Lloyd , Hurn, Laird , Sicily , William, Clarke

I got Zac William planning to get Whitfield soon for fill my last defense and trade out clarke soon.Reading the comments said Williams scores average about 89 When Whitfield plays should i still get him or seek other options help me out

    2

    0
  31. 2.5k off bringing in Whitfield for Logue and finishing my team…
    Do I:
T/U – Bring in someone cheaper and finish my side this week (Stewart, Ryan etc)
T/D – Hold Logue at D6 for one more week and bring in Whitfield next week

    2

    24
  32. Am I crazy to be giving some thought to Silvagni?

Getting midfield minutes now and only a $90k upgrade from Burgess while allowing switch with Gardner.

Purely as a bench player to cover D7/F7.

TU – crazy, won’t score enough to properly cover
TD – not crazy, cheap cover points is good

    14

    3
    1. If you’ve got the trades and cash to spare, then sure. Will play out the year, offering good cover if needed. I still think he’s a dud though.

      4

      0
            1. Hmm. Scrap the Silvagni play and maybe invest the money into a better final defender, he’s only just averaging 90.

              1

              1
  33. D6 to finish off team. Not a lot of cash to deal with. Both averaging the same and similar price.

    TU – Newman
    TD – Johannisen

  34. Hey Guys.

First year playing AFL SC and joined late (round 8). Don’t know too much about AFL but love fantasy sports, do quite well in NRL SC (top 50 a few years ago, top 500 last couple years)

Obviously missing the early rookies and not knowing much has left my team a bit weaker. Hoping to get some suggestions.

Def: Hurn, L.Ryan, Guthrie, Hore, Hartlett, Logue (Naish, Hinge)
Mid: Neale, McRae, Cripps, Bont, Mccluggage, Stack, D.Clarke, Hind (Hately, Bewley, Sparrow)
    Ruck: Grundy, ROB (fort)
Forward: Danger, Boak, Heeney, Zieball, Cameron, Hawkins (Chol, Gardner)

    12 trades. 149k itb.

Knowing cash generation is going to be tough I’ve tried to pick up players at low points.

Thinking Hore to Sicily and Bewley to Hanrahan. Means playing Chol instead of hind/hately.

Then look to upgrade Guthrie to Lloyd next week?

    1

    0
    1. Yep. Good thinking. Massive disadvantage making a team in R8 though, make sure you’re on top of it next year if you want to be competitive.

      1

      0
  35. Anyone know much about K Dunkley (Melb)? I need a cheap cheap downgrade for Baker to bring in a premo M8?

Is Dunkley likely to get at least another game or two? I’ve got Bewley and J.Cameron still on the pine, so I figure between the three of them at least 1 is likely to be picked each week, giving me a useable emergency.

TU: Trade in Dunkley for Baker
    TD: No

    3

    7
    1. Played well on the weekend. With Melbourne’s season shot, I think they’ll give him a few more games.

      1

      0
    2. Think he will definitely play this week,
Don’t think they will drop him the week his due to play his brother.

Not when Goody let his brother Josh break the news to him about his debut.

      0

      0
  36. Last Mid spot,

    TU – Bont
    TD – Parker

Bont is cheaper, But already have Macrae & Dunkley. Is all 3, too many dogs midfielders?

Parker is a good POD but is expensive at $613,600.

    9

    3
  37. Hey guys, any suggestions here?

    Def
Lloyd, laird, ryan, d moore, Smith, Logue
    (Answorth, gardiner)

    Mid
Macrae, j Kelly, fyfe, cripps, Neale, Sloane, oliver b crouch
    (Hately, clarke, scott)

    Ruck
    Gawn, Grundy
    (Clarke)

    Fwd
T Kelly, danger, dunkley, heeney, greene, chol
    (Setterfield, young)

I have 420k in the bank and 8 trades.

Trade D Clarke to K dunkley
And turn setters into Sicily via D Moore?

Will leave 443k and 6 trades with possibly 3 upgrades to go…(greene if he doesn’t fire, chol, logue)
