  1. J Smith > Lienert
    Franklin > Macrae

Will have the 1 trade left if I go ahead with the above.

    TU: YES
    TD: Save trades

    17

    13
  2. Current mids Mitchell, Cripps, Oliver, danger, pendelbery, crouch, wines, congilo. 3 trades left
TU congilo to Macrae, more cash for last to trades
    TD Wines to macrae

  3. I still have Hibberd (I know, don’t ask…)
3 trades left, happy wth the rest of the team.
Do I use 2 trades to upgrade the dud or keep the trades for now.

    1. That’s a tough one mate, is there any way u can get someone in with just the one trade? What options would be in your price range if u only used the one?

        1. You could wait a week and see how Webster comes back. Or if you need to win a league final your hand might be forced into 2 trades.

          3

          0
  4. D Yeo Laird Simpson Hurley Shaw Ryan (Murphy Durman)
M Mitchell Cripps Pendles Danger M Crouch Kelly Martin Gaff (Edwards: NPP to loop Spargo Powell)
    R Gawn Goldy (Olango)
F Smith Heeney Westhoff Gray McClean Petracca (T Smith Ahern)

5 TRades 177 k in the bank, double chance and going for league.

This week my opponent and I have these differences:

    Lloyd
    Hurley
    Roughy
    Westhoff
    Billings
    Heeney
    Buddy
    McClean
    Kennedy
    Sidebottom
    Coniglio
    Kelly
    McDonald
    Ryan
    Walters
    Petracca

My strategy is to use NPP loopholes in defence and forwards lines with Petracca and Ahern and Ryan and Hurley in defence.
So to block his most dangerous difference?

    Thumbs Up

Murphy and Durman out for Lloyd and NPP McDaid (NPP to loop) with 2 600 left
Murphy and Durman out for T McDonald and McDaid (NPP to loop) with 117 600 left

  5. great to see Alex Johnson back playing @ the top level
    ( Syd ) def $102k
handy if you need a cheap def to help upgrade another line
saw him play for the crows 6-7 years ago
silky outside player that reads the play well
    takes a good grab too
gets his shot after a horror run of 5 recos
will play 1/2 back or wing
should score between 70 & 100 for the rest of the H/A , if he can stay injury free
    good luck young fella

    1. Great for him but from SC perspective, dont you hate it when these guys get late season games. Nathan Freeman now too.

  6. Have double chance, 6 trades left, 60k in bank. Crap bench cover.

    Can go :
Tu – Martin to grundy, use 1 trade
Td – dusty to Oliver, use 2 trades
Comment – use 2 trades to get bench cover and loophole options

Want oliver to negate opponent, and against gold Coast, I smell a 140+

    1. Does he have Dusty? If not, I’d go TU, or get GAJ as a POD. In ripper form, loves playing Richmond and would only require the one trade.

      2

      0
      1. He does have dusty. You saying I should just hold then?

Oliver as his pod is the big threat I want to eliminate and dusty is my weakest link in mid.

        1. you’ve got 6 trades mate. if that is your biggest concern, then i’d cover it.
there’s loads of questions i have and without the full picture it’s difficult to say. you’ve got at least 24 hours to decide, but
          i. do you have to win this week (ie it’s an elimination final, not a qualifying one)?
ii. who are your other MIDs, including bench?
iii. what DPP swings do you have available?
maybe post your whole team and ask for some more advice then.
i have Dusty but will NEVER trade him out as he can flick a switch and give you 130+, rare nowadays I admit, but it could happen. making the trade you’re thinking of gives him Dusty as a POD.
i’d maybe go two trades which allows you to bring in Oliver AND keep Dusty if you can (potentially to loophole Dusty if you have the right set-up).
You’ll still have four trades left and have his PODs covered.
          Happy days and good luck.

  7. Following the above. Fritsch has been v quiet the last few weeks. Am expecting him to bounce back this week v the Suns @ the G. %age could be everything in three weeks time!!

  8. Full premium and making one premium upgrade trade this week as I’m in a couple of elimination finals. Looking for the best points upgrade this week.

    1. I was going to post exact same question! I’m not so sold about going Franklin > Cameron as Buddy can be HUGE as we saw in the finals last year. Macrae is as close to a must have as anyone right now…

    1. Maybe give Savage some consideration, overall avg 88.67 with a last four round avg of 79. Sure to benefit from Webster’s return also.

              1. quote from AFL news

“Brody Mihocek (ankle) and Brayden Sier (leg) have been cleared to play against the Swans after their minor fitness concerns.”

                1. My dilemma is, Howe is out meaning I will have to have Mihocek on field this round, do I just cop it? Or Trade him up to Webster because thats all I can afford.

Initially my plan was to go Savage to Mcgovern but doing this means i need to field mihocek

                  0

                  0
                  1. can you loophole Mihocek/ANO through Howe as the Pies are playing relatively late (Sat night)??
how many trades do you have left? Howe is probably back next week.

depends on your goals and needs this weekend.

I have to choose between Mihocek and Doedee on field with no loophole, but most of my finals are qualifying ones, so am not bothered if I lose this week, especially with only 2 trades left. my real target is overall ranking anyway.

it depends massively on your situation.

good luck whatever you decide 🙂

  10. I was thinking of upgrading Billings or Walters to Hawkins, I posted about this yesterday and Freo Tragic was kind enough to point out that Hawkins probably won’t kick a bag against the Tigers.

So I’ll look at some other options. I’m liking the form of Rhys Stanley but haven’t watched enough Cats games recently – is his form sustainable?

    TU Rhys Stanley
    TD Bruest

    Comment: Hawkins or someone else

    1. Blue Steele

      Rhys Stanley

      Great pick.

Good form. HUGE POD .Not a natural footballer but playing First Ruck, and he can run all day.

Last two games at home v’s Freo and GCS.

I think he could ave 100+ from here on in.

Bruest plays Ess / Cats /Saints/ Swans

I can see him being kept quiet in at least two of those,<80.
Will he go huge in the other two?

I'm thinking of de Goey to Stanley myself. I may have to wait to next week. I want to see if Ahern can back up his good work from and ton up again. 🙂

    TU: Webster > TMac
    TD: Dusty > Macrae

  12. Hey Guys, need some help for 2019. Should I go for a cheap midfield, or just get a few Uber Premos?

Option 1: M Crouch, Zerrett, Oliver, Macrae, Cripps (Allows Gawn/Grundy)

Option 2: Oliver, FYfe, Titch, Cripps, Macrae Allows Gawn/Cheaper Ruck

I’m worried that option 1 will leave 3 Premo spots likely to be fulfilled by Titch, Fyfe and Danger/Kelly and Zerrett and Ctouch May only average 100 2 duds.

    What y’all think?

    1

    2
    1. hey Matt

      I’m going:
MID: Cripps, Oliver, Mitchell, Merrett, Macrae …
(upgrade targets will be Fyfe, Kelly and ANO)
      AND
      RUC: Gawn, Grundy

These two lines consistently ave. more than both DEF and FWD, and by some margin, so it makes sense to spend more of your budget here whilst ensuring you have the UBERs that you will not trade (unless LTIs occur).

Combine that with the fact that there are no real stand-outs in the FWD line (until we see who gets DPP), I am happy to compromise massively on that line, so as to not jeopardise MID and RUC lines in any way AT ALL.

hope that makes sense and helps in some way?!

  13. Howe out with concussion this week. Only have B. Lynch as cover.

    TU: Howe to Brayshaw/McDonald/other?
TD: Hold trades (2 left before this)

  14. With reports of Webster returning this week, I think Fritsch is my weakest link.
Have 4 trades and $22K. Have the double chance.
    Murphy D7/Rice as D8, Ahern F7/Battle as F8.
    Looking at upgrading Fritsch
TU: 2 trades to get premo FWD (Rice to Johnson/Fritsch to Hawkins)
TD: 1 trade (Fritsch to Wallis or Mundy)
Comment: Save a trade. Fritsch v GC

    1. EDIT: My Supercoach was having issues. I click the T button and the available cash was well above what I should. Logged out and logged back in and all is fixed.
It now means I cannot go Fritsch to Wallis/Mundy.

    2. i’m giving Fritsch another week. He’s due and GCS at the G is fairly promising, especially when you consider that finals spots could come down to percentage. i’m expecting a huge four-quarter effort from the Dees.

PS i had the same problem with SC bank balance yesterday. frustrating as hell!

  16. Trading out austin to fill the spot of sicily. Who’s the best option for finals?
    I have 2 trades left.

  17. Def: Lloyd Yeo Simpson Laird Brayshaw Hurley (Lienert/O’Rio)

Mid: Mitchell Danger Oliver Merrett Martin Cripps Coniglio Shuey (Walters/Ahern/Daniels)

    Ruck: Gawn/Grundy

Fwd: Smith Mundy Westhoff Gray Heeney McLean (Smith/Battel)

  18. 3 trades left, need to trade out Howe, definitely using 2 trades this week.

TU: Howe to Shaw and Stef Martin to Grundy
TD: Howe to Lloyd and Guelfi to 102k rookie, switching Ahern to F7 for the irritating Buddy (don’t have enough cash for a straight swap)

comment for: Howe to T McDonald and Stef Martin to Grundy

  19. Need some help community.

I have Nank and Savage and 5 trades left. I want both Grundy + Lloyd and I’m short by $100.

1st rd opp has both. Who is more important to get this week? I have Lach Murph as cover for Savage and have Simpson, Laird, Yeo, Hurn + Crisp.

    Help!??!?!?

    1. Musicalsocks.

You have 5 trades that gives you options.

I would look at Savage to a cheaper defender like H Shaw.$445.800.
3 round ave 104 and….. The Giants play the blues this week.
Then get Grundy and pocket the cash.

Next week if you still want Lloyd upgrade you lowest scoring defender, or the one with the hardest draw.

  20. 3 trades left, plenty of money. Have Buddy and Howe but can’t necessarily trade them

    TU: McLean to Westhoff
    TD: Gaff to Kelly

    1
  21. Who to trade out for premium mid:
    TU: Jack Higgins
    TD: Buddy
(The one I keep will be my F7, loophole into Charlie Curnow).

    1

    4
  22. TU: Webster and Kelly in for Austin and Fyfe.

TD: Lienart in then ride his score as loophole D7 (covering Howe). If he or Rockliff, looped M9, are shit I can bring in either J. Kelly to mids or a gun defender. Upside is potentially save a trade and create $160k

    1

    2
  23. 4 trades left. I have Ahern starting as f6 and battle as f7. Playing h2h and came first in all leagues.

T/U keep Ahern hoping for a repeat of last week
T/D trade to T-Mac (bad draw after this week) or Dunkley (POD!!)

    4

    0
  24. 1 trade left, elimination final. Team full of premiums, but carrying an underperformer…

T/U – trade buddy out (for Smith or McDonald)
    T/D – save trade

    3

    5
  25. DEF: Howe, Laird, Simpson, Lloyd, Savage, Yeo (Lynch, Keefe)
MID: Pendles, Cripps, Titch, Ward, Dusty, Gaff, Oliver, Danger (Giro, Garlett, Barry)
    RUC: Gawn, Nank (Jones)
FWD: Franklin, Heeney, McClean, Gray, D. Smith, M.Walters (Battle, Ahern)

Was going to go Lynch (DEF) to that Port Adelaide rookie bloke, and then upgrade Nank to Grundy. With Howe & Savage gone, have to reassess…

In finals, must win. I came fifth in my league, and number 8 is a weak opponent (scored 2150ish last week).

$79700 in the kitty, 5 trades remaining.

Anyone got some advice for me?

I’m thinking Lynch to that Port Adelaide Rookie in DEF, then upgrade Savage to make 100% sure I’ve got the win this weekend. Kind of annoying though, I really want Grundy. Macrea would have been nice too…

  26. Posted earlier prior to team announcements. Looks like Fritsch keeps his spot.
Have 4 trades and $22K. Have the double chance.
    Murphy D7/Rice as D8, Ahern F7/Battle as F8.

    What to do with Savage?
TU: 2 trades – Savage & Battle to Hurn & Rookie to loophole Ahern with Fritsch
TD: Take Murphy’s score this week and save a trade

  27. Draft question here. Got a prelim this week and struggling to select my starting 5 forwards. Have Dev Smith and Hawkins locked in, and pretty happy with Gresham as well. For the last two spots can choose between:
    TU: Crozier
    TD: J Cameron

Comment: Lambert or J Anderson (with Higgins out should get more playing time)

Thanks in advance for any help!

      1. Dagan.

I like J Cameron v Carlton under the roof.

The Giants midfield should give him heaps of chances to get on the end of a few. He could easily go 100+
He will want also want to play well after his lengthy suspension.

Jed Anderson a close second. I’m worried he gets a bit of a run with role with Jacobs missing.

Best of luck whatever you do.

        1. Cheers for the response!

At the moment leaning towards Cameron, and then Crozier with the role off half back, but tempted by Anderson

  28. 453 k for a defender to replace Savage who would you pick with 4 rounds to go? Worried that Tmac will only have 1 massive score an 3 average ones….?

    0

    0
    1. You cannot swing TMac from Forward to Def and possibly Ahern from Mid to Forward to give you the option to replace a DEF, FWD or MID in lieu of Savage?

Just wanted to know if you are purely restricted to just DEFs.

I’m in a similar situation to you regarding Savage but I am reviewing pretty much any DEF, FWD or MID as a replacement.

      1

  29. Need to get rid of Savage. 3 trades left. $448k in the kitty.

    TU: Shaw
TD: Use two trades to get Lloyd and a loophole player.

    0

    2
    1. i’d get Lloyd and Lienert to bolster your back-line back-up to be honest (unless you already have decent cover).

i know loopholes are good, but donuts are more expensive!

  30. I reverse my trade 1 trade left
TU – Stephen Coniglio > Jack Macrae MID
TN – Lance Franklin > Sam Menegola FORWARD

  31. I’ve tried hard..looked at all the options, even my qf final opponent, and though my team is not perfect, I don’t need to trade after 2577 last week and no outs. This is depressing….I love hitting that button…have four trades left. Please…one late out !!

    1

    1
  32. Welp, more on feel than anything I just did a luxury upgrade of JPK to Macrae. The other option was moving Walters on but he’s at the low point of a price cycle due to his garbage game a couple weeks back – if he doesn’t fire this week, may look at moving him on (assuming the General doesn’t show up).
