Poll: What To Do With Dusty

Written by Huttabito on June 18 2020

A very popular early season poll – what to do with Dusty.

This year, SuperCoachers were graced with a DPP Dusty which was enough for over 66% of all coaches to jump on board. Now, after a 79 point display against Collingwood in Rd2 he has gone and bruised his ribs.

There is no precedence on what to do, for 2020 is truly a unique season, and we pretty much have 2 free trades every week. So coaches, how are you tackling the Dusty conundrum? Holding him, or moving him on for?

Holding, or folding Dusty? (Player, Team, Price, Avg)

  1. I’m leaning to holding him, but Ribs man they linger, Greenwood feels a safe swap if that’s the way I go.

  2. Its a pain that Tigers play tonight and we wont have a full handle on the extent of the injury. So many different ways to go with Houston to consider, and some juicy bubble boys around to bring in.

Most outrageous strategy given that trades are not so precious this year……Dusty and Houston out, and two of Bennell, Starcevich, and S Cameroin in. Gives big cash injection over next few weeks, and a $720k or so bank for likes of Bont after he gets Deboered. Leaves T Green wasted on the bench though.

Or swap spots with Dusty/Wingard, bench Dusty, bring Starcevich on field for Green, and do the Cameron trade too.

    Decisions !!!

    1. I’m contemplating Dusty to Pittonet as a viable trade (Comben will move from R3 to F8).

      2020 is a weird year!!!!!

  3. Easiest hold ever, probably just a rest. When has bruising ever kept Dusty out of a game he wants to play? The Tigers will crush us tonight and won’t need him at all, so gave him the week off.

  4. Hold dusty no one is upgrading yet need to get our rookies right. Also to hard to pick who to bring in just yet look at Wingard and Heeney round 2 scores.

    1. In a non-standard season, all rules go out the window! I’m trading him for another premium so I don’t have to play King or some other rookie! Don’t @ me! I don’t give a crap. Don’t try to talk me out of it!

I can grab him later again when required!!

          1. i was kinda kind to you though oh Bearded one … mind you, you had some bad luck, your team is not that bad …

I’m in the hold category … need to get those rookies for cash … short season and you will be left with rookies or poor mid pricers in the last few weeks if you dont generate cash … any ground you drop now, you will make up later when you have more premos on field than others …

    1. Nice one Lukey. Exactly what I’m doing. Can’t mess around with Jacobs / Pittonet types anymore.

  5. As it is a very strange season of Supercoach and having an abundance of trades…
I am trading Dusty from my mids to Lachie Neale. I have been kicking myself for not starting with him so here is a chance to fix up one mistake.
To generate cash NicNat to Pittonet.
I thought the shorter quarters would have suited him but still playing limited field time, so taking the punt. Hopefully Pitto can become Gawn…I know another disastrous blunder, not to have started with him.
    Good luck everyone.
