Preseason Team Previews 2022

As our regulars will know, each preseason we like to present analyses of the SuperCoach-relevant players in each position at each club.

For writers who support those clubs, it’s a labour of love that in the past has unearthed gems that without the microscope of the analysis would have remained hidden.

The SCT writing team is already working hard behind the scenes to ensure we deliver another huge season of value-laden content to the community and I figured “why should we have all the fun writing these?”

So I’m putting the call out to see if anyone has a hankering to do the analysis of a team? We’ll provide you with a format. You let us know when you expect to be able to deliver it.

If you’re keen, email me (Motts at supercoachtalk dot com) with the team you’d like to do and when you’ll have it ready and I’ll send you the post format. First in, best dressed. Maybe comment below with the team you’re doing as well so others can see that it’s been taken.

Thanks!

      • Hahaha … it’s January. We can all make delusional claims for the season ahead. As well as North winning the flag, I’m winning the 50K plus the weekly prize each week.

            • Lol.

On a serious note, RB, how do you see him going?

70:30 FWD/MID split in a side like North, I’m conflicted as to whether or not to start him.

Looking forward to seeing him in the pre-season game.

              • Tough one GD…in my bombers write up I’m looking at JHF and Caldwell ($268) as options…Caldwell a pure mid and never got a run at it yet. Priced 12ppg differently…70/30 might swing it back to Caldwell…..JHF might be a correction trade…we all do them.

                • Ah, yes. Good thinking, Wighty.

Shiels and McGrath back, Zerrett and Parish as constants, wonder what kind of CBA load Caldwell will get.

Looking forward to your write up.

              • Sometimes I think playing the percentages is the best option. He’ll feature in a lot of teams cause he’s got so much hype, he plays for a lower ranked team and he’ll be playing from round 1.

Which would you be happier with for your team – owning an expensive rookie that underperforms or not owning a high performing rookie? Surely we all pick him and enjoy the ride.

As for his role, you’d think he starts more as a half fwd working through the mids with his midfield time developing through the season.
