  1. 2019.

Took Macrae VC instead of rolling the dice on Dawson.

    W. Ashcroft, Brayshaw, Jy and Rankine helpful pods (if you can call rankine a Pod).

Issues to solve, Gawn, Sheez, JHF.

Took the Macrae VC over Serong with 30 seconds to go. Washcroft popped off and had every top scoring rookie on field.

Dale let me down, Oliver you take, Serong and Day are edging me hard with their scores every weekend when looking at the stats sheet they could’ve been so much higher.

Really needed this score after being cursed with this Stewart + Flynn ( + Lindsay) situation. Now, how to fix it with only 11.1k ITB?

How did I go? Didn’t go at all. Stalled on the grid.

Problems – Sheezel, LDU & Neale.
    Underwhelming – LAsh FOS Oliver
    Subs – Knevitt and Hewett
    Davidson stuck on bench

The good – Zorko, Reid & Trainor, Thilthorpe and even Sanders was okay.

Will probably activate my second boost and boot LDU and a couple of non playing rookies

  4. 1913 – took Macrae VC – was around 26K

Took Macrae VC after nearly risking it all on Brayshaw after seeing Xerri fail as Captain for so many. Better safe than sorry….
Traded in Freijah over Sinclair at the last moment for cash generation which hurts but looking forward to spending that this week.

Terrible Saturday where it looked like I wasn’t going to crack 1600 but saved a bit on Sunday by the Freo boys. Bad week but getting to the stage where there’s nowhere to go but up

Happy to crack 2000 but missed a win by under ten which could’ve been had in many other ways. Oh well, some issues to solve this week but looking long term

    Round rank 184

    Overall rank 260.

Great week with 11 players scoring 100+ including Jackson’s 165.

Never been this high, hopefully I don’t puncture next week.

  8. 1876/Macrae/26k (dropped 3.5k)

7 tonnes from 23 players, two being NOD and Davidson. Pathetic
Dropping off scores from Rozee and Neale is not what I wanted to see

One more round of best of 18 then things really kick off

Looking miserable until the Dockers boys came home strong and boosted the score by nearly 600.
Not one defender reached 90 (except Trainor on the bench) so could have cracked 2000 with a couple of those spuds performing better.

  10. The new team name has changed my fortunes

2,157 – 49th best score of the rd

10th OA with 6,424 on the board

Biggest concern – do I push hard by dumping sheezel and JHF??

Happy with team, only used 2 trades.

Have Gawn, Sheezel, JHF and Short as main issues.

Gawn has Geelong next, so he gets another chance.

Sheezel spent last quarter in defence and racked up to save his score. Hope that was signs of things to come.

JHF must still be considered a top 6 forward, surely. He has 5 of his next 7 games at AO. Stick with him.

Short just seems to be 10-15 pts away from being a good pick and right now don’t have funds to get to Whitfield or Sinclair without a major restructure.

Probably just pick up a few rookies this week and ride the price falls

Sitting just outside top 1000 with Neale stinking up the M1. Honestly he just doesn’t look interested but i am stuck with him, tigers this week which helps. Major issues down back, Shezzel lucky to junk it up last quarter, overall looks a bad selection, getting moved around too much and handballs too often. Short does not have the kick returns, or the cheap points across the back line i expected. SDK, suck in by pre season talk of Ruck time and RD1 heat map, and of course sucks when i bring him in. So 3 major concerns in the DEF line. No idea what to do. The port boy looks a must have. So i am thinking Short stays and cross the fingers for a few weeks he can hold his value and average 90+, i know i am dreaming.

Neale, what a disappointment, hope he can recover next few weeks and not hemorrhage cash. Moares in this week for Lalor, as he is stuck FWD in a useless role for his talent. Mid price madness from M2-M5, treading water…..Daicos incoming soon.

Rucks TDK – Xerri… fingers crossed no issue for Xerri. Play out the game in obvious discomfort. Hoping nothing serious or trade plans up in smoke.

JHF, doesn’t look interested for 3 quarters every game. You would of thought with Butters out he would be used more in the middle and on ball, NAH in the FWD line again with endurance issues. Another selection based on high ownership. Stuck with him now, still think he doesn’t get worse and finishes top 6-8 FWD, but honestly expected more as did the Port members and supporters.

Rookies, Hall and Reid not in the team, estimate 200k behind in cash generation over the next 4 weeks, with Campo and Lindsey on the bench. Knevitt sub also hurts.

WCE, Members, your million dollar boy the club wanted to build around is a major concern. Seems to be more interested in picking fights and talking about moving away from the club, instead of winning the ball, character issues or a sign of not being happy. Pre season not much work done as he came back looking overweight and slow on the field. Pathetic first 3 weeks and needs to be sent to the AFL until he gets back some fitness. Wont happen, coach wants to keep his 700k a year job.

And over at the Kennel the JUH saga continues, lets down his club and his mates by not turning up for preseason. Media too scared to be too critical for the obvious reasons. On good pay for what he does. Is the club still paying this goose.?? Honestly, why would clubs be interested in this type of character.?? But some recruiting manager will talk a club into paying overs for a KPF to kick 30 goals a year.
