  1. 2410. Maxxy VC, 4 and a half league wins out of 7. Was ranked 36520.
I suffered with my 21st 22nd and 23rd ranked players.
First looped Boxhall. 38 not going get it done.
So then I put Husthwaite on field. 27 even worse.
Thru Dpp magic put FOS onfield when I realised Gross was the sub. He will never be onfield again and probably should be in VFL.
Hopefully the Supercoach Gods are kinder to me in round 10

  2. 2,354/Gawn/was ranked 4,533 but will no doubt drop down a fair bit.

Absolutely shambolic week for me saved by a few heroes.

First, the good. Gawn VC looped with 142, big fella is on fire. Reid 133 (rookie of the year!), Smith 150, Zorks 166 and big Xerri 186 all saving my score and then some. Maric 126 has been my trade of the year, was looking like he’d done his job as a stepping stone and then has gone to another level the past few weeks and is looking like a keeper more and more.

Now, the bad. First, Short being a late out the week both of my defensive rookies on the bench were dropped was not ideal to say the least, leaving me with a donut. “But that’s ok!” you say “due to flex you don’t actually lose points! Not that bad!”. Well, it means that Hustwaite’s god awful score of 27 was included in my total score, so I may as well have lost a scoring player. Of my 22 players that did actually play on field, 15 of them scored under 105, 9 of those under 80. Just poor, poor scoring all around. Potentially even worse though, my cash generation is cooked. I have 3 non-playing rookies already, and from my 7 rookies who did play this week, 5 of them scored under 43. Two of them were subbed so they also may get dropped. Need some rookies to come through and quick!

Lots of problems to fix, Clarry/Short/Cerra/Daniel etc., and not enough trades. With cash gen in the bin I may have to get creative and find some budget options ala Maric earlier in the year. Will try to stick with my plan of prioritising getting bad rookies off of the field, but my hand may be forced.

Hopefully next week proves more fruitful!

  3. 2264/Nank/3.3k pre ranks

    Shithouse.

Nank scoring half of Meek’s score and a third of Max’s v West Coast. Disgraceful.

      • Lol. “Love on”? Steady on, Mark. Not even on your birthday, mate 😉

Yeah. Of course. Nank and Anderson objectively bad starting picks, Nank especially so.

Plan was just to wait till the byes to get Xerri but he’ll be into the 700s, so maybe I do something this week?

        Yourself?

Big fall coming. Some heroes but mostly underwhelming. We battle on and next week is another week!

Suspect the score is around par, probably shouldn’t go down much if any.

Some of my good scores came from heavily owned players, Xerri, Baz, Zach Reid and the Hornet, so as not to set me apart too much. Did also benefit from a couple of PODs in Brayshaw, Ryan, Ash, Dale and Maric but had to wear some spudded scores from M Reid, Hust, E Hewett, Daws, Neale and Daniel.

Circumstances dictated that I could not trade until Saturday night and then it wast too late so will wait till next week to try and right a couple of wrongs.

TDK over Xerri as C and Reid over Trainor on field cost me 170 points.

Tried to get too cute and it burnt me.

Some major bounce back heroes though with Brayshaw / Zorko / Clark / Rozee and Dunkley on debut.

Great from Xerri, Zorko, J Clark, Z Reid, Rozee, Bazlenka
Spuds: Daniel, Long, E. Hewett, Husswaite

I have no boost left so its probably downhill from here

Held rank after moving up 20,000 spots over the last two rounds so needed a pause. Should’ve benched Hewett to get Lindsay’s score. Hustwaite, Roberts, Bice, Macrae and Daniel a bit disappointing too
