Would you opt for a cheaper, weaker option when doing another trade in order to finance Grundy?

The poll for the forwards was a little tricky to do. I excluded, for the most part, the popular, highly owned, higher priced and obvious options.

How badly has thing Martin-JHF-Xerri crisis impacted you?

  1. Have just enough cash to go Xerri, TDK, JHF > Gawn, Grundy, Mills. But leaves me with 3 trades, no cash and no fwd bench cover.

Might have to hold TDK and bring Harvey as bench cover instead.

TU: Go nuts and do the big 3.
TD: TDK not ideal, but he’s available, play it safe and bring in bench cover.

  2. Miers ($514k) didn’t make the polls?

    Last 6: 126, 110, 100, 67, 135, 134

Next 6: Saints, North, Port, Ess, Syd, Rich.

    2.4% of teams.

I didn’t put in any players priced above JHF/Martin to take into account limited ITB and trades.

Miers ofc a great shout. His output been elite this year.

  3. Is Briggs worth bringing in to replace Xerri? He’s been good his last 2 since coming back from injuries, but i’m not sure if he can sustain this form.
    What do people think?

  4. Thoughts on going Touk Miller down to Cooper Harvey allowing me to upgrade TDK to Grundy.

Holmes, Rozee, Clark, Whitfield, Sheezel, Mills
    (Carroll, Busslinger)

Butters, Anderson, Daicos, Bont, Brayshaw Miller, Serong, Sinclair ( Z. Johnson, M.Liddy, Saad)

    Xerri, TDK (Reidy)

Smith, Macrae, Rankine, Trac, Daniel, Darcy
    (C. Gray, T Gross)

    McCarthy

    5 trades 1,600 itb

Playing for leagues and sitting second atm. Most opponents are holding Xerri.
Doing trades will leave me with 3 trades and 156000 for upgrades/ injury. Is it worth it in the hope that Grundy can give some great captains scores or too risky?

    TU Go for it!
TD Too risky swap miller for like priced mid.

Sorry for long post and thank you in advance for all your advice.

  5. 1 trade left, have Xerri and JHF with only 10k banked, do you:

T/u – Trade Xerri to 583k ruck. Then with dpp can play McCarthy as 23rd. (JHF dead on bench)

T/d – JHF to a grim 448k player, hold Xerri till he comes back and have to play with 22 for 3 weeks.

Might sound obvious but think the 583k ruck + 23rd option could outscore a sketchy 448k + no flex option for the last 6 rounds. (But do get Xerri back for the last 3)

  6. Currently have Rozee, Martin, JHF and Xerri…. with mills mcarthy on field in def, full premo elsewhere besides flex

Holding Rozee – i have 5 trades left

TU trade Xerri for Grundy and go Martin-Harvey
TD trade martin and jhf for 2 lower priced premo’s
