Poll : Some From the Polling Station

Short sharp and simple for the most part today with a few of the questions from the Polling Station thrown in the mix for eveyone’s opinion.

Firstly, Guru Bob and many are wondering what to do with Clayton Oliver. The general consensus was to hold until at least he fronted up against the Weagles. oh wait, he didn’t!! Brought in by many as a bargain price premo expected to go boom once the love was felt all around the Dees and it just never happened. Not horrible, but zero tons since round 2, is it time he was turned into a more reliable premo. I already voted last week and Tracca’d him when he didn’t cross the Nullarbor.

Secondly Patto has suggested a poll on which of the two hot forwards in Warner and Tracca are likely to take you further into finals. No need to dress it up, just give us your opinion.

There is a certain sense of thought throughout our site, and indeed, SuperCoach in general, that we should not be forking out $700k for premos at this stage of the upgrade season. That cash saved by filling a smaller and cheaper hole now will be handy throughout the byes. However, Robby Bobby is not as sure in the case of Max Gawn (BE 32) because if he reaches his average against the Hawks he will hit the $730s and if he achieves his projection it will be closer to the $750s. Max does not front up to an opponent that he career averages under 105 against until round 14 so it may seem unlikely he will drop much, if any, so do we need to sell the farm to get him now before it’s too late, that is the question. Easy enough for me to answer as I own him, but give us your thoughts in the poll.

Barb has some support with her thoughts on Matt Flynn‘s immediate future. Given Mini’s propensity to play around strangely with his team, big Matt could again find himself as the scapegoat for another woeful Weagles performance, not that anyone could have done any better last week. There’s hope there might be a third crack given the Max Factor, or a shift to dual rucks and Flynn will get another chance either way, and if so should reach his BE. If he is dropped, what is the community’s opinion of his status then. Given many of us have him in the flex position, do we rejig and hold, or do we just swap him for a player with scoring ability and job security. Let us know below.

GKMC has asked about underperforming Premos. In many guises on this site, we have opined on this topic many times over and the consensus generally comes up with the same decision – upgrade your rookies first. We did a Hold/Trade poll on these characters a couple of weeks back, but as some of the same players are underperforming still, it might be interesting to see if the magnets have shifted since then.
