  1. I assume many coaches would be asking themselves questions on whether they should be offloading Whitfield or Gawn with 2 poor games and expected 30k+ price drops.

    1. Tempted by Whitfield and Ward out for Young and Caldwell (for both points and cash generation).

      Thoughts?

  2. There are many rookies not in sides, who should we be getting in? – maybe exclude the ones with more than 50% ownership already.

    1. Could also do the same question for those non-rookies on a reduced starting price, again excluding those already in >50% of teams

    1. Great question. I could easily flip stuff around to bring Heeney in (Cripps an obvious trap for mine and coaches will regret it) but I also missed Xerri so trying to figure out my priorities!

    1. I believe you hold. Should have started cheap if you wanted value.
You could start a Merry go round of cheap rucks if you don’t hold tight.

  3. I also have Darcy. Will be holding until RD 3 teams are released. If he plays he is a hold for another week as he didnt play RD1. Otherwise possibly trade to English

    1. I got a very likely case scenario for this!
Freo names Darcy for Sunday amongst 30 players
English plays on Thursday night, scores 130
Darcy doesn’t pass the fitness test on Friday and gets dropped!
      Donut!

  4. Is George Hewiit a must have? Looking at his scores so far he would seem to be, however i hold doubts over what his scoring will be like once Carlton has a full strength midfield (ie: Cripps, Cerra, Walsh etc) all playing together. If he is considered a must have who makes way for him (for myself, Whitfield is the only option to cull, which i am torn over).

  5. Trade Chapman to Bowey
Bowey score will be in his cycle for 3 weeks. great source of value?
    TU – yes
    TD – no

  6. Is Caldwell a must have? No major issues around the ground, considering ditching Whitfield, berry gov and gawn. Have all the rookies.

    TU yes
    TD no

    1. Two 90’s in a row against Geelong and Brisbane , now merritt out for 6 weeks at that price I’ve switched berry out.
      Ward and berry out
      Caldwell and Xerri in
I’m keeping Whitfield he’ll hit 110 this week and I’ll Spew.
Heeney will certainly get injured like he does 3 times a year and struggle , not sure on Cripps looks great but I can’t seem to press the button he has burnt me last few years with Heeney – Short term gain long term pain IMO

    2. I asked a similar question earlier and had 18:3 TU.

Feels more of a luxury trade than a must have (eg Whitfield > Hewett and Ward > Caldwell).

I am tossing up how I can get him in as I have more pressing needs elsewhere (Chapman > Hewett and Ward > Hayes), I am happy with mids and feel Berry will perform similarly so no point trading.

    1. We all have our own reasons for doing anything & making certain trades in this game is no exception. Whether it’s for the $$………. Let’s face it , major part of why we all play, or we trade because another player catches our eye & we see his potential or
because the ones we believe will live up to our expectations & their price tag, fail us. ( ..” a week’s along time in footy”) some genius quote !!
What ever our thousands of reasons are for trading, they’re all valid & given Max is at the head of his class, a big price tag & on a short list, I’d love to know what coaches take on Big Max is. With only 2 rounds as a guide & a potential 45K drop, Ive read many are looking to ditch him.
So the Q is: “Should” we be trading out Gawn & if so, Why ?

      1. No, all the rucks so far suck.
AT LEASED HE’S PLAYING and scoring ok during this (health and safety season). Keep your trades for earning money not redistributeing.
The players everyone is chasing can not keep their scoring up. They will produce a bad score very soon or multiple.

      2. I’m trading with the intention of bringing back if his form turns around at a discount. I have the trades and solid cows so can afford it if it goes balls up.

      1. There is a red -x above the trade boost, just click on that and it reverse the boost back for you.

    1. If you activate the trade boost and don’t use all three trades you will automatically get the boost back.

  7. You can reverse a trade after games have started as well.
Let’s say you traded Steele for Cripps and they are the last games of the round.
You have used 1 trade you have 1 left.
Right before the Stkilda game they say Steele has eaten his spinach and you decide you want him back in over Cripps.
Basically you trade Cripps for Steele and Wallah you have 2 trades back .
NB: all information I give was from trialling last year and I can’t confirm it’s the same this year but yes it works

  8. A list of rookie-priced players (say sub-$210k) broken down into categories:

    – Must-have: keep if you have them, trade them in if you don’t.
    – Luxury: keep if you have them, trade in if you don’t have other issues.
    – Line-call: trade out if you have them and don’t have other issues, don’t trade in.
    – Eject: dump them as they’ll be an albatross around the neck of your season.

Would also be beneficial to have the same for those mid-$200k players (e.g., Berry, Caldwell, Bowey, Chapman, Mcgovern, Newcombe, Coniglio, Rayner).

  9. Does anyone have the ghoulies to trade Gawn to Meek?

Darcy down, Meek improving every week and in best 22. Opens up a mountain of cash to upgrade elsewhere. I think only 1 ruck has scored 100+ both weeks; Grundy scraped in with a 101. Maybe the age of rucks is over…?
