Welcome to Part 2 of the Reserves Rookie Review Recap for 2025. I have included all players that have played less than 3 games this season. Hopefully the decent rookies are held back until next season but like previous years there will definitely be some debuts in the later rounds. Any questions or extra information please let me know in the comments.

Ricky Mentha | D/F | 99.1 | 48/15 |
Shane McAdam | FWD | 158.4 | 0/0 |
2026 – Laurie has had another good season in the VFL but still hasn’t had much of a chance in the AFL. Campbell did his usual things and is purely a break glass injury replacement. Sestan was playing well before a long-term hamstring injury ruined his season. Culley started slow but has hit some form and may be given a chance in his 2nd year at the club in 2026.
NORTH MELBOURNE
Player | POS | PRICE | AVE/GAMES |
---|---|---|---|
Callum Coleman-Jones | FWD | 128.2 | 75/5 |

Miller Bergman | DEF | 137.9 | 56/4 |
Taylor Goad | RUC | 119.9 | 49/15 |

River Stevens | M/F | 113.5 | 42/15 |
Josh Goater | DEF | 151.4 | 32/3 |
2026 – Coleman-Jones has had an injury interrupted year but has played well sharing the ruck duties in his 5 games. Payne has kicked 14 goals in his 14 games this year after he was a mid-season draftee last year. Bergman and Goater have played in the AFL but have had big injuries this season but could be on the radar for next year although half back is a tight spot to get into at North.
RICHMOND
Player | POS | PRICE | AVE/GAMES |
---|---|---|---|
Judson Clarke | FWD | 119.9 | 63/6 |
Oliver Hayes-Brown | RUC | 119.9 | 59/13 |
Liam Fawcett | FWD | 119.9 | 41/9 |
Josh Gibcus | DEF | 153.6 | 29/3 |
Mate Colina | RUC | 119.9 | 27/7 |
Josh Smillie | MID | 176.5 | 0/0 |
2026 – Clarke has spent most of the year on the sideline but for a few weeks in the middle of the year he returned and played well with another ACL ending his season. Similar to this Gibcus has returned in the last 3 weeks from his own ACL injury. Very talented if he can get on the park. Smillie was a top draft pick but has been injured, he is likely to come into the VFL this coming week. Get him in your pre-season teams next year.
ST. KILDA (SANDRINGHAM)
Player | POS | PRICE | AVE/GAMES |
---|---|---|---|
Max Heath | F/R | 119.9 | 99/10 |
Harry Boyd | RUC | 99.1 | 77/11 |
Angus McLennan | DEF | 169.7 | 59/12 |
Alex Dodson | RUC | 113.5 | 54/13 |

Patrick Said | M/F | 113.5 | 40/10 |
Eamonn Armstrong | DEF | 99.1 | 15/1 |
2026 – Heath had another great VFL season and was rewarded with his AFL debut a few weeks ago and held his own. Stuck behind Marshall but the Saints could have some changes in the ruck department next year. Boyd is another ruck who played their 1st game with Marshall out and hasn’t played again. He started the year on fire but has slowed down the last month or so with others getting more ruck time in the VFL.

WESTERN BULLDOGS (FOOTSCRAY)
Player | POS | PRICE | AVE/GAMES |
---|---|---|---|
Anthony Scott | F/M | 138.5 | 86/13 |
Lachlan Smith | RUC | 119.9 | 83/15 |
Michael Sellwood | DEF | 99.1 | 76/5 |

Jordan Croft | FWD | 119.9 | 49/9 |
Zac Walker | DEF | 99.1 | 39/4 |
2026 – Scott has had an excellent year with more midfield time and is unlucky not to have played at AFL level this year. Smith has been dominant in the ruck with 35 hitouts and 5 clearances per week but will struggle to play many games without an injury to English. Sellwood has started well down back in his 5 games with Gardner in defence contributing nicely. Jaques and Kennedy started the year very well but have dropped off a little towards the end of the season.
SANFL
ADELAIDE

Schoenberg has had a great year averaging 24 touches and 5 clearances while using the ball well and 83%. Edwards has also used the ball well going at 90% for his 20 touches and 7 marks a game, has been close to a debut for a number of weeks.

Harrison Ramm | DEF | 99.1 | 36/12 |
Jacob Moss | DEF | 99.1 | 20/2 |
2026 – Williams started the year in defence but has returned to the forward line over the last 2 games to kick 13 goals. He has kicked 17 for the year with possibly another game or 2 up forward, could be a cheap swingman next season depending how he finishes the year. Mackinlay was a mid-season draftee and has averaged 16 touches and 3 tackles so far.
WAFL

Aiden Riddle | RUC | 99.1 | 35/9 |
Odin Jones | RUC | 119.9 | 0/0 |
2026 – Reidy has been excellent but is 3rd in the pecking order. He averaged 42 hitouts and 15 touches a game. Brodie had 25 touches a game but is out of favour after he lit it up 3 years ago as a rookie. An option next year as he will likely be at another club if he isn’t delisted altogether or retired. Narkle has had a good year with 2 games in the AFL this year both as the sub. Delean has kicked 14 goals to be equal 2nd for the club.
