Welcome to the Rookie Review for 2025. Just a quick recap of the rookies from the weekend before we officially kick off next week. Going forward we will be at the usual slot of Tuesday mornings. Good luck for Round 1!

A. Sheldrick ($161.7k) – 32
With just 48% TOG he had 9 touches and laid 2 tackles. Not what we were hoping to see and now we may have some doubt about starting him

Co. Warner ($148.7k) – 50
Spent a bit of time in the middle for his 10 touches and 4 tackles

B. Paton ($133.4k) – 67
After a quiet start Paton finished up with 12 touches at 91% efficiency, didn’t do anything to worry current starters

T. Hanily ($119.9k) – 27
Started as the sub to have 6 touches and 3 tackles in 31% TOG

L. Keeffe ($179.8k) – 47
Got shifted into the ruck with the injury to Briggs early on. Managed 8 touches, 5 tackles and 12 hitouts

M. Gruzewski ($119.9k) – 61
Kicked 2 goals from 9 touches with 3 marks and 6 hitouts

J. Leake ($119.9k) – 64
Played forward mostly to get 11 touches with 7 contested, 2 marks and a goal from 54% TOG

C. Stone ($119.9k) – 64
Played an ideal role off half back for his 11 touches and 4 marks

N. Long ($200.9k) – 30
Came on in the 3rd quarter as the sub. Ended up with 9 touches with 6 contested and 3 marks from 26% TOG

R. McInnes ($200.6k) – 55
McInnes played as a key defender in his new role. 13 touches and 3 marks with 4 clangers hurting his score a bit

E. Allan ($194.0k) – 71
Played through the middle and had a decent game to finish with 19 touches although 14 were handballs
