Just like that we are 20 rounds in and there’s just 4 weeks to go. Trades are getting low this time of year and probably being used on luxury moves or injured premiums.

Alza – thanks again for the article 🙂
It’s pretty slim pickings on the rookie front this week.
Would love a cheap DEF / MID rook to come through pretty soon – as have Schoenmakers & Worner on my DEF bench (with no cover) heading into the SC finals
And they both haven’t gone up enough to offload them – with only a few trades remaining 🙁
So need to offload Fyfe or Dowling or Mannagh down to a cheap DEF / MID
Was hoping that Saad El-Hawli would get some games – but it sounds like he is at least a couple of weeks from returning via the Essendon reserves
I can only see Dan Curtin possibly getting more games – but he is quite pricey at $161,200
Can you see any cheap DEF / MID’s coming through that might get a game in the next few weeks?
Thanks again for everything throughout the year !!
Thanks BMH.
I am not sure there is unfortunately. Wilson could come in but I don’t think he will or will for more then 1-2 games. El-Hawli is a couple weeks away and then you’d think has at least 1 game in the VFL. Mitchell from Sydney has been emergency for the last few weeks so he is a chance but is a big sub candidate.
I think Curtin is the best Def/Mid option even with his price but even then he hasn’t had a nice role to provide any decent scores. Or you have to roll with a straight defender or hope Worner returns but that seems unlikely with Freo performing well
Thanks Alza
You taking the time to reply is very much appreciated 🙂
Will be interesting to see if Adelaide keep playing Dan Curtin when Dawson & Rankin & Murray (& maybe Hamill) return over the next week or two
Curtin will be a gun at AFL level, he can play just about anywhere (DEF & FWD & as an inside MID), therefore IMO Adelaide should try to give him a decent run over the next few weeks
Thanks again!!
I’m with you there mate, Curtin should be in the side and given a good chance. Crows aren’t gonna win the flag so why not see what he can do for the next 4 games
