Melbourne (8.9.57) defeated by Collingwood (15.13.103)

  1. Nick Daicos (186). Huge way to finish the season for Nick, 40 touches, 11 marks, 2 goals and 675 metres gained, maybe it’ll win him the Brownlow?
  2. Josh Daicos (140). Not far off his brother, Josh found 40 touches as well, combining it with 10 marks and 536 metres gained.
  3. Patrick Lipinski (131). Another dominant Pie, Lipinski had a great game, finishing up with 30 touches, 12 marks and 2 goals.

Other 100+ scores: Kysaiah Pickett (111), Steele Sidebottom (108), Christian Salem (104), Scott Pendlebury (102), Will Parker (100)

Disappointment: Not a highly owned player but it’ll go to Viney (34) who got a very tight tag.

Rookies: Got some shoutouts here to Will Parker (100) and Ed Allan (94) in the final game of the season. Both Pies rookies kicked a goal and had 17 and 22 touches respectively.

Injuries: Bowey and Moore were both subbed at half time due to a knee and a concussion.

  3. Tristan Xerri (123). The year comes to an end for Xerri, his final game reading: 25 touches (18 contested) plus 13 clearances and 35 hitouts.
  4. Jy Simpkin (114). Great game from Simpkin and if his team wasn’t smashed, would’ve scored more. 3 goals, 25 disposals and 9 tackles.
  5. Jack Ginnivan (113). Rounds out this games top five thanks to 23 touches, 2 goals and 8 inside 50s.

Other 100+ scores: Lloyd Meek (112), Conor MacDonald (111), Dylan Moore (107), Josh Weddle (106), James Sicily (102), George Wardlaw (100)

Disappointment: Hope no one held Fisher for their grand final, just 73 for him.

Rookies: McKercher gets his usual mention for another fine game of 19 touches and 84 points to cap off his rookie year. Watson (97) slotted 3 goals from 15 touches.

Injuries: Conor Nash sustained a leg injury in the Hawks win, while father-son Archer also had a leg injury for North.

  2. Jeremy Cameron (143). 14 disposals and 9 marks but it was the 9 goals next to his name that boosted his score.
  3. Jack Bowes (130). 24 disposals for Bowes which came at a really good DE of 92%. Also added 1 goal, 6 clearances and 5 tackles.
  4. Max Holmes (121). 26 touches on the outside for Holmes, he used it well too with 85% DE plus 764 metres gained and 1 goal.
  5. Jack Hutchinson (102). Surprisingly seeing an Eagle in here. The mid-season draftee had 24 touches (16 contested) plus 1 goal to round out his season.

Disappointment: He’s had a great year but it’ll got to Elliot Yeo (77).

Injuries: Brady Hough had a knee injury for the Eagles while the Cats will have to manage Humprhies (lower leg) and Stewart (hamstring tightness) before the finals campaign kicks off.

Richmond (10.6.66) defeated by Gold Coast (14.10.94)

  1. Sam Flanders (161). Rounded out his insane year with 29 touches (14 contested) plus 6 clearances, 6 tackles and 2 goals to be a standout in this fixture.
  2. Noah Anderson (128). Ran hard and drove the Suns forward all game, finishing up with 30 touches and 9 marks plus 601 metres gained, and 1 goal to top it off.
  3. Jarrod Witts (121). Witts did what you’d expect, piling on the hitouts with 46 of them, pairing it with 19 touches and 1 goal.
  4. Jayden Short (115). The best of the Tigers largely thanks to his DE of 96% across his 25 touches. Also had 6 marks.
  5. Matt Rowell (113). Rowell rounds it out with 29 disposals (16 contested) plus 9 tackles and 8 clearances.

Other 100+ scores: Nick Vlastuin (111), Daniel Rioli (107), Toby Nankervis (106), Tim Taranto (105), Dion Prestia (103), Touk Miller (100)

Disappointment: Just going to give it to Bolton (49) who has a wildly inconsistent year.

Rookies: Graham (90) and Uwland (89) both played well in the Suns win to cap off solid years.

Injuries: Clean sheets here, Davies and Banks the subs.

Sydney (18.13.121) defeated Adelaide (13.12.90)

  1. Nick Blakey (127). Very nice way for Blakey to finish the year, his 32 touches and 14 marks were paired with 2 goals and 673 metres gained.
  2. Errol Gulden/Matt Roberts (118). Gulden finished the regular season with 24 touches and 2 goals plus 8 clearances, while Roberts continued well in that scoring paradise that is half-back, finding 31 touches and 10 marks. Maybe he’s the new Jake Lloyd.
  3. Chad Warner (114). Chad was solid, finding 22 touches with 1 goal plus 7 inside 50s and 3 goal assists.
  4. Brodie Grundy/Riley Thilthorpe (110). 15 touches (10 contested) plus 5 clearances and 26 hitouts for Grundy, while Thilthorpe had 3 goals from 16 touches and 8 marks.
  5. James Rowbottom (109). 21 disposals (10 contested) plus 90% DE for Rowbottom, pairing it with 9 tackles and 1 goal for a great game.

Other 100+ scores: Luke Parker/Jordan Dawson (102), Ollie Florent (100)

Disappointment: A quieter night for Hinge (59) after a pretty solid season.

Rookies: Nothing to cover in this contest.

Injuries: No injuries, just Worrell and Rampe being the subs. Heeney was a late out if anyone was unaware.

Brisbane (11.21.87) defeated Essendon (10.7.67)

  1. Lachie Neale (166). Just ran rampant again with 40 touches (19 contested) to pair with 7 marks, 82% DE and 1 goal.
  2. Zach Merrett (135). Has had a massive year and finished it in style with 37 disposals, 5 tackles, 1 goal and 536 metres gained.
  3. Andrew McGrath (129). 34 touches for McGrath with 11 rebounds from 50 in there, pairing it with nearly 500 metres gained.
  4. Josh Dunkley (124). 28 touches (14 contested) for Dunkley to finish his regular season, also adding 9 clearances and 8 tackles.
  5. Dyson Heppell (116). Finishes off his career with a fine game of 34 touches @ 85% DE with 475 metres gained. A great individual performance to finish up.

Other 100+ scores: Will Ashcroft (115), Dayne Zorko (108), Kyle Langford (105)

Disappointment: Caldwell (53) finished the season poorly.

Rookies: Archie Roberts (90) had another fine game of 28 touches and looks a player. Answerth (80) had 18 disposals while Lohmann (93) had another great game of 14 touches and 3 goals.

Injuries: Nothing for the Lions, just Hipwood being the tactical sub. Guelfi (hamstring) the final sub of Essendon year.

Western Bulldogs (14.14.98) defeated GWS (9.7.61)

  1. Lachie Whitfield (153). Just couldn’t stop finding the ball in Ballarat. Finished with 42 disposals which led to 710 metres gained plus 9 marks. Been a great year for him individually.
  2. Bailey Dale (126). 27 disposals @ 89% DE for Dale, his 1 goal and 569 metres gained boosting him into second spot.
  3. Marcus Bontempelli (116). 22 touches but a huge 17 contested for Bont, pairing it with 7 tackles, 11 clearances and 1 goal.
  4. Kieran Briggs (113). Super effort in the ruck from Briggs, he found 14 touches (10 contested) to pair with 32 hitouts and 4 tackles.
  5. Jack Macrae/Tom Liberatore (112). SuperCoach royalty Macrae had 23 touches and 7 tackles to tie it up with Libba who found 24 touches and 1 goal with 5 tackles.

Other 100+ scores: Ed Richards/Caleb Daniel (107), Tim English (103), Harry Himmelberg (101)

Disappointment: Gonna give this one to Treloar (84) who did admittedly play through a calf injury, but that score wasn’t needed in grand final week.

Rookies: Darcy (80) had his usual sort of game, with 2 goals and 12 touches bringing an end to a very good SuperCoach rookie campaign.

Injuries: Treloar has that mentioned calf but it was the ever injured Vandermeer with hamstring tightness that was the sub, while Thomas was the sub for GWS.

Carlton (11.8.74) defeated by St Kilda (11.10.76)

  1. Sam Walsh (139). 32 disposals (16 contested) for Walsh plus 8 tackles and 9 clearances as he tried to drag the Blues over the line.
  2. Nic Newman (132). Huge numbers from Newman. 35 touches with 16 marks and 638 metres gained for another ton to add to his 2024 campaign.
  3. George Hewett (122). On a nice little run to finish the year, Hewett had 32 touches, 6 marks, 6 tackles, 1 goal and nearly 500 metres gained.
  4. Rowan Marshall (120). 1 goal and 19 touches for Marshall with plenty of his 37 hitouts going to advantage.
  5. Adam Saad (114). 21 touches but 95% DE for Saad which really helps in a close game like this, rounds out the top five thanks to that.

Other 100+ scores: Jack Sinclair (111), Blake Acres (110), Patrick Cripps (106), Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (105)

Disappointment: Nothing special for Steele (89) to finish off the year.

Rookies: Wilson (91) has had a really good year and this game had 22 touches to it. Lord for the Blues ran well on the outside with 19 touches and 88 points.

Injuries: Carroll was tactical but Stocker was due to a groin.

Fremantle (9.13.67) defeated by Port Adelaide (13.9.87)

  1. Sam Switkowski (128). Creative as usual with 22 touches (11 contested) plus 1 goal as the Dockers just missed out on September action.
  2. Andrew Brayshaw (127). Has been monstrous the past month or so and that form kept going with a 33 touch (15 contested) game, adding to it 7 marks, 7 tackles and 5 clearances.
  3. Ollie Wines (116). Game 250 for Wines, capped off in style with 31 touches (17 contested) plus 6 clearances.
  4. Zak Butters (115). 28 disposals (15 contested) plus 6 clearances for Butters, a huge year comes to an end and will be first picked for many in 2025.
  5. Luke Ryan (114). 21 touches, 6 marks, 5 tackles, 89% DE and nearly 500 metres gained for Ryan. Rounds out this top five and this years round reviews.

Other 100+ scores: Caleb Serong (109), Jordan Sweet (107), Logan Evans (104)

Disappointment: Rozee (84) also didn’t finish the year off in style.

Rookies: Sweet (107) had another solid game with 13 touches and 1 goal, while Evans has been a great rookie in the second half of the season, this week scoring 104 from 23 touches. Burgoyne (96) has been a great rookie this year, as has Sharp (83).

Injuries: Young had a calf injury but played on, meaning that Johnson was the sub. Farrell had a hamstring injury which saw him subbed at halftime for the Power.
