SCTTL : Round 2 Review

Top five for the week all clawed their way above the rest of us due to snagging the correct Captain’s badge for the round.

Emile gets the gold this week by a solitary point with “Tech Rankine” scoring 1813 thanks to a trade boost that brought in SDK, NOD and Macrae who wore the captain’s armband. Well traded. Ask Nicksy before you bring in your team’s namesake – see if he plans on playing him for more than 2 quarters!!

1812 points saw Paul on the second tier of the podium with MBUZZ, using the Great Dane’s 130 as captaincy material. Also using Zorko as skipper Cham Tech by Wayne came in third on 1809. These three were the only ones of us to top the 1800 mark in a week of poor rookie performances.

In fourth and fifth equally with 1796 points sits Jack’s Tootlets and Barries Rod Grinter All Stars, coincidently both using Clarry’s 130 to get the double points.

Many of the scores this week were a little under par, mainly due to the fact that over half of us chose poorly in nominating our skipper. Nank the Tank and Houston were a problem, not backing up their great week. A handful also included JHF and Heeney under the orange banner, which needless to say, proved les than adequate in the final run down. There were also a handful of coaches who traded in Jack Macrae and entrusted him to skipper like the glory days, gaining a great advantage. Great to see an inside mid playing as an inside mid, don’t you think Bevo?

Flicking through, it also appears some of us (me included) didn’t read the memo on Bazlenka, trading him in for a donut. I guess we were going to want him at some stage.

Lots of boosts used this week, and probably another to follow after teams drop. Let us know your trade plans and tactics, and comment for our edification.

What are your trade plans for round three ?

RD 2 – Henderson and OSullivan to come in and decision whether to hold Day and allow for potentially bringing in B Smith but more than likely to watch Smith play one more game .
