  1. Playing for overall, started the season quite well.

    Lachie Neale… scores of 42, 133, 71
Tigers, Dogs & Pies to come.

    Tu: Hold
    Td: Trade

    • For those who are voting trade, who would you bring in? Daicos is the obvious one but runs into Jordon in 2 weeks time..

(Currently have Neale, Brayashaw, Oliver & Cerra)

      Thoughts appreciated!

  2. Thinking of the following:

Out – LDU, Boxshall and probably Camporearle (could be Tsatas or even FOS

In – Laird Langford & Morae (or maybe even Murphy Reid)

I just want a ‘premo’ that won’t get tagged.

    • Wouldn’t be trading into Murphy Reid in now.
Yes he had a big score against the easiest team to score against, however owners can consider themselves quite fortunate. His role is terrible for SuperCoach and I feel as though he’s had his spike game now already. As they say.. missed the boat and move on.

      • “His role is terrible” is off base lol. As is every FWD rookies’ – even most MID rookies are playing wing or HF too.

But, yeah, Nick’s right. Don’t chase rookies that have gone up, Shaggi.

Moraes, Clohesy, Bice. They’re your guys.

        Laird @ 560k I also don’t like. No upside.

    • I recall JD presented some interesting analysis of last year’s ruck lotto. Gawn, Grundy, English & Marshall etc – most people swapped them about chasing last week’s scores. Had we stuck with any of them we would have averaged a better score (& saved trades).

Kako still live but got out of jail with some great GA stuff late. Very low floor in his role at Essendon.

Humph covers on points and cash gen.

  3. In top 100 so going for overall. The 4 players I down own who are on my radar this week in no order are B smith, Moraes, Bice and Davidson. Where would you rank these players 1-4 in terms of priority.

    • Great stuff, currently ranked 242 myself.
I would try to get these top 3 players in to be honest, even if it means using a boost.

      1. Smith (they have Melbourne, he had 10 clangers in a wet game on the weekend and still managed to get over 80. Expected to increase $40k)
      2. Davidson (seems to have a good role in the midfield while Bont and Treloar are out for the next few. Expected to increase $66k. If you can’t get him in now you’ll be paying the price.)
      3. Bice (Although the backline rookies put up good scores this week I still don’t trust them. Bice also should hold his spot as Sydney’s backline players returning are taller backs. Expected to increase $54k)

      4. Moraes (If you are really struggling for mid rookies you could push him up higher, only reason I rank him last is because the majority of the quality rookies are already in the midfield. When top 22 scoring comes back you’ll need better rookie backs and forwards.)

      • Yep. TrooRoo on the money. I agree.

Smith I get being on the bubble and well capable of keeper scoring as a FWD. But I don’t like his injury profile and predominantly outside role.

His game v Freo and then Lions clear dichotomy of how his score is tied to outside supply and match conditions.

Couldn’t think of a less dicky-er world than dichotomy. Sorry lol.

Keep doing what you’re doing though, Wokkas! You’re Top 100, I’m 52k lmao.

        Best of luck.

  4. Had bugger all luck last week, and my trade decisions seemed to be a good reminder of why you should hold on to premos if you’re not 100% sure of getting rid of them (Day to Callaghan, good lord)

Here’s my current situation (field adjusted to this coming round’s byes)

DEF – Zorko, Sheezel, Dale, Roberts, Trainor, Paton (Reid, Leake)
MID – Serong, Neale, Rozee, Oliver, Callaghan, L Ashcroft, Lalor, Knevitt (Tsatas, Lindsay, Henderson)
    RUC – Xerri, TDK (Boyd)
FWD – JHF, Macrae, Smith, Daniel, Davidson, Hall (Kako, Hewitt)
    FLEX – NOD
    $58k ITB

Was thinking at least Bice, but not sure if I should out Paton or Leake. Tsatas and Lindsay both look to be only out for a week, so I don’t know if it’s worth getting rid of either of them when it’s still best 18. Lalor is concerning me a bit though. Forward line was by far my most consistent area somehow.

Should I make any trades aside from the one to bring Bice in, or just keep to the one trade?

    • Paton and Leake equally dead.

Mills and Cunningham back soon and then everyone else in the 22 obvs ahead of him, including Hamling and Bice. Leake then very green and not ready yet. Paton I suppose would be closer to getting back in in the event of injury but ultimately don’t think it matters who you bin.

Maybe Paton just for the extra cash?

I can see why you’re stuck on 2nd trade though. Yeah. Hmm. Lindsay, Lalor, Tsatas. Hmm.

Lalor and Tsatas just need that spike game and are both MID-adjacent. I’d leave them.

See if Lindsay is confirmed as a quick turn around then decide.

      • All good, I’ll leave those mid rookies for now. What about Knevitt? I don’t doubt that he can perform when he starts, but I do doubt Chris Scott when he’s wanting him as a sub.

And I’ll go with Paton. Both for more cash, and I don’t necessarily want three Swans in the backline

  5. Why are so many coaches trading out X Lindsay?
He has avoided major damage and it looks like only a short term injury. Surely with a low BE still, safe job security and on field points for when he returns he becomes a hold?

    • you either trade him now, or hold for 5-6 weeks while his cash generation comes back.

with other popular players like Knevitt, Hewitt, hastie getting the sub vest, their cash generation has also slowed. Some will need to go, can’t hold them all.

      • Game was over, shifted back to avoid injury is my summary. Totally ineffective in the midfield role and NRT have lots of MID options. Still High ownership which is a plus in holding for another week….Maybe- Looking at Roberts as a replacement.

Between Shez or Short to make room for Roberts.

Wat do you think of the Humphries role at the Suns long term. Does it hold with Flanders back in the team.? Crazy BE, should make 100k over next 3 weeks with a 80 avg.?

  7. I am thinking of maybe going this way.

Trading out- Feijah, leake and JHF

Trading in – Sinclair, Bice and Humphrey

Lost patience with jhf. I think Freijah will slow up on scoring and goto Sinclair who is a gun.
Leake to bice is an easy one.
JHF to Humphrey is a gamble but JHF doesn’t look like head is in the game so may as well trade to someone scoring well who will make some cash.

T/U – Makes sense and go for it

    T/D – Don’t do it andnsave trades

I’m with you. Just wait. All they need is a spike game for their form, scoring and price. It’ll happen eventually.

They’ve both had good moments. Some of those quality high end draft picks just take a bit.

Thoughts on Ryan Maric? Seems a real sleeper and has a nice seagull role off half back. Sub R1, then 26 touches last week, 28 this week and went 123. 265k, -37 BE and 1% ownership. Does he keep up this role?

But, yeah, the role is there taking the 3rd tall. We’ve also empowered him with KIs and some deep distribution, which none of our HBs are near given they’ve all been stationed quite high.

No objections, GK. He’ll remain down back.

Lindsay’s injury doesn’t seem bad, might be back in a couple, but his cash generation will be stalled for a few weeks, so you either trade him now or hold for at least 5-6 weeks

Camporeale is all about if he is named this week

Paton is low priority, had a very handy Fwd/Def swing

Bice and Moraes are top priority to get. not sure about Clohesy – he plays for Geelong and you saw what they did with Knevitt

Mind you, after Crows this week, he has North and Richmond before the tough games set in.

If you get him, you will need to grab the cash and look at trading him out again. You could get just as much cash (at a better ROI) with Moraes

Humphrey over maric but I think maric had a better scoring role. With Flanders back his midfield time is only going to go up and I think Humphrey is 5th in line now.

Obvious pick is to go moraes at 113k but Langford only has a BE of 2 and I’m expecting him to get even more mid time now he had 55% on the weekend.
