Plenty of possibles, depends how your crystal ball is working. Neale does play Richmond next game . Libba Rowell Miller Dunkley Sinclair Anderson Whitfield Holmes
Wouldn’t be trading into Murphy Reid in now.
Yes he had a big score against the easiest team to score against, however owners can consider themselves quite fortunate. His role is terrible for SuperCoach and I feel as though he’s had his spike game now already. As they say.. missed the boat and move on.
I recall JD presented some interesting analysis of last year’s ruck lotto. Gawn, Grundy, English & Marshall etc – most people swapped them about chasing last week’s scores. Had we stuck with any of them we would have averaged a better score (& saved trades).
Lindsay will be back in 2 weeks maximum. Yes it’s going to be slow cash generation back you also need few of the late rookies. He has a solid JS and scoring potential. Unless you started him, it’s really not worth it.
In top 100 so going for overall. The 4 players I down own who are on my radar this week in no order are B smith, Moraes, Bice and Davidson. Where would you rank these players 1-4 in terms of priority.
Great stuff, currently ranked 242 myself.
I would try to get these top 3 players in to be honest, even if it means using a boost.
1. Smith (they have Melbourne, he had 10 clangers in a wet game on the weekend and still managed to get over 80. Expected to increase $40k)
2. Davidson (seems to have a good role in the midfield while Bont and Treloar are out for the next few. Expected to increase $66k. If you can’t get him in now you’ll be paying the price.)
3. Bice (Although the backline rookies put up good scores this week I still don’t trust them. Bice also should hold his spot as Sydney’s backline players returning are taller backs. Expected to increase $54k)
4. Moraes (If you are really struggling for mid rookies you could push him up higher, only reason I rank him last is because the majority of the quality rookies are already in the midfield. When top 22 scoring comes back you’ll need better rookie backs and forwards.)
Had bugger all luck last week, and my trade decisions seemed to be a good reminder of why you should hold on to premos if you’re not 100% sure of getting rid of them (Day to Callaghan, good lord)
Here’s my current situation (field adjusted to this coming round’s byes)
Was thinking at least Bice, but not sure if I should out Paton or Leake. Tsatas and Lindsay both look to be only out for a week, so I don’t know if it’s worth getting rid of either of them when it’s still best 18. Lalor is concerning me a bit though. Forward line was by far my most consistent area somehow.
Should I make any trades aside from the one to bring Bice in, or just keep to the one trade?
Mills and Cunningham back soon and then everyone else in the 22 obvs ahead of him, including Hamling and Bice. Leake then very green and not ready yet. Paton I suppose would be closer to getting back in in the event of injury but ultimately don’t think it matters who you bin.
Maybe Paton just for the extra cash?
I can see why you’re stuck on 2nd trade though. Yeah. Hmm. Lindsay, Lalor, Tsatas. Hmm.
Lalor and Tsatas just need that spike game and are both MID-adjacent. I’d leave them.
See if Lindsay is confirmed as a quick turn around then decide.
All good, I’ll leave those mid rookies for now. What about Knevitt? I don’t doubt that he can perform when he starts, but I do doubt Chris Scott when he’s wanting him as a sub.
And I’ll go with Paton. Both for more cash, and I don’t necessarily want three Swans in the backline
Why are so many coaches trading out X Lindsay?
He has avoided major damage and it looks like only a short term injury. Surely with a low BE still, safe job security and on field points for when he returns he becomes a hold?
you either trade him now, or hold for 5-6 weeks while his cash generation comes back.
with other popular players like Knevitt, Hewitt, hastie getting the sub vest, their cash generation has also slowed. Some will need to go, can’t hold them all.
you do know what will happen the moment you trade out gawn and Sheezel? this is what the SC Gods do
im holding both. I saw a massive last quarter from Sheezel last game when he was playing in defense, hopefully this is the move we wanted. Gawn has geelong this week, this is his last chance.
Game was over, shifted back to avoid injury is my summary. Totally ineffective in the midfield role and NRT have lots of MID options. Still High ownership which is a plus in holding for another week….Maybe- Looking at Roberts as a replacement.
Between Shez or Short to make room for Roberts.
Wat do you think of the Humphries role at the Suns long term. Does it hold with Flanders back in the team.? Crazy BE, should make 100k over next 3 weeks with a 80 avg.?
Lost patience with jhf. I think Freijah will slow up on scoring and goto Sinclair who is a gun.
Leake to bice is an easy one.
JHF to Humphrey is a gamble but JHF doesn’t look like head is in the game so may as well trade to someone scoring well who will make some cash.
What are we doing with Lalor and FOS for those that own them? Feel like it might be best to stick with them, they are going to play every week and inevitably their price will increase.
I have traded them both this week – Moraes and Erasmus. Slow burn is ok, BUT that is a lot of cash and the two i have traded in will catch up in price in 2-3 weeks + score 40-50 more point between them.
Thoughts on Ryan Maric? Seems a real sleeper and has a nice seagull role off half back. Sub R1, then 26 touches last week, 28 this week and went 123. 265k, -37 BE and 1% ownership. Does he keep up this role?
But, yeah, the role is there taking the 3rd tall. We’ve also empowered him with KIs and some deep distribution, which none of our HBs are near given they’ve all been stationed quite high.
Might be worth a shot, but seems like a bit of a trap for me. Can see his scoring directly being tied to Gold Coast’s form, and they’re not gonna be smashing teams by 10 goals every week.
Lindsay’s injury doesn’t seem bad, might be back in a couple, but his cash generation will be stalled for a few weeks, so you either trade him now or hold for at least 5-6 weeks
Camporeale is all about if he is named this week
Paton is low priority, had a very handy Fwd/Def swing
Bice and Moraes are top priority to get. not sure about Clohesy – he plays for Geelong and you saw what they did with Knevitt
I am ranked 52k so will be using my third boost to fix my team. Stewart injury has not helped and I have averaged 1931 across first 3 weeks.
Trade out: Short, Paton and SPP
Trade in: Smith, Bice and OSullivan
This leaves me with following structure and 215k on bench to get Zorko or Sincliar as my first upgrade
DEF –Sheezel, Stewart, Clark, Roberts, OSullivan, Bice (Reid, Trainor)
MID –Brayshaw, Neale, Rozee, Oliver, Callaghan, L Ashcroft, M Reid, Knevitt (Campo, Lindsay, Henderson)
RUC – Xerri, TDK (Boyd)
FWD – JHF, Macrae, Smith, Daniel, Davidson, Hall (Kako, Stone)
FLEX – NOD
Welcome mate, I personally think there’s not much value in trading JHF out now. We can’t change the past, still very confident he will be a top 6 fwd from here on in.
The team is in a bit of an average position with the failed pick of SDK.
Thinking sdk, fos and campo to bice, Baz and Humphrey.
This does mean that I’m holding Lindsay for however long he is out for. I still have Lalor too and I’m passing on Moraes.
Not necessarily but the points on field could be better than Moraes while making the same amount of cash. He should be better to have on field till byes than most rookies but I’m personally going Maric cause I trust his role more and the dpp is helpful
Do you trade the likes of JHF or Sheezel this week they have a high BE and maybe take a lose of another $40K to save a trade. How much is a trade worth, especially around Rd’s 18-20.
T/U: Use the trade, cannot afford the price drop.
T/D: Take the price drop and hold, hopefully they come good.
I am leaning towards take the price drop at the moment.
My other option were brayshaw over Rowell but Rowell will be a fun watch.
Humphrey over maric but I think maric had a better scoring role. With Flanders back his midfield time is only going to go up and I think Humphrey is 5th in line now.
Obvious pick is to go moraes at 113k but Langford only has a BE of 2 and I’m expecting him to get even more mid time now he had 55% on the weekend.
Petracca spending so much time forward has me worried
T/U Trade to Daicos – he’s an uber premo and will beat most tags
T/D Trade to Rowell – he looks leaner this year so won’t run out of gas this season, and won’t cop the tag
TU: Paton and Perryman to Bice and Simpkin (plus some ITB)
TD: Paton, any mid rook, and Perryman to Bice, Moraes and TDK (would be running 3 rucks with Jackson Sent fwd & Xerri R1)
This prob isn’t going to be a popular decision but I’m going SDK to Noble this week. Role looks good enough role for high 70s-80 which is all I really need there until later in the season. Anyone decent is $540k+ and I am nowhere near getting that together unless I sideways trade someone else as well or wait for an injury.
Yeah had considered Bowey. Got too many Melb players with Trac, Oliver and I have decided to keep Lindsay. I think they play similar hard nut footy in a similar role but with Noble in a better team (i.e Bowey and Noble).
Anyway we’ll see. Going gut this time instead of following the sheep.
I actually kinda like the pick and respect backing your gut but if all you’re looking for is 70s or 80s, why not just go for a rookie like Bice who should be close to that and you’ll have heaps more cash to spend?
Is it worth using my first boost to sideways a few underperforming players? currently thinking
Out – SDK, trac, JHF
In – sinclair/zorko, rowell, humphrey
NOD is going ok but my other mid rookies are Lindsay, Knevitt, Tsatas, Hewett and Kako.
Happy to sit on Kako for a bit as a slow burner but not sure what else to do re the other four.
Moraes and Clohesy are both tempting but I’m not convinced of their job security.
Could wait a week for Travaglia who looked good on the weekend.
Erasmus is a consideration.
Thoughts?
Was thinking of trading out Flynn from the flex position and bring in his teammate Maric, then saw CT’s update on Latest News re McGovern possibly being out longer than anticipated, wondering if any of the West Coast fans know if this will help or hinder Maric’s role….will he see more of the ball now or will he have to do more of a lock-down job?
Thanks.
TU: this option passes on bice & moreas but i believe makes the same $$ through maric & Humphrey and solid JS.
OUT: JHF, SPP & camporeale
IN: Maric, Humphrey, baz Smith
TD: this option passes on midprice madness grabs to rooks and keep JHF, who i actually don’t like at all.
OUT: SPP, camporeale & paton
IN: Bailey smith, bice & moreas
Playing for overall, started the season quite well.
Lachie Neale… scores of 42, 133, 71
Tigers, Dogs & Pies to come.
Tu: Hold
Td: Trade
For those who are voting trade, who would you bring in? Daicos is the obvious one but runs into Jordon in 2 weeks time..
(Currently have Neale, Brayashaw, Oliver & Cerra)
Thoughts appreciated!
Plenty of possibles, depends how your crystal ball is working. Neale does play Richmond next game . Libba Rowell Miller Dunkley Sinclair Anderson Whitfield Holmes
Thinking of the following:
Out – LDU, Boxshall and probably Camporearle (could be Tsatas or even FOS
In – Laird Langford & Morae (or maybe even Murphy Reid)
I just want a ‘premo’ that won’t get tagged.
“His role is terrible” is off base lol. As is every FWD rookies’ – even most MID rookies are playing wing or HF too.
But, yeah, Nick’s right. Don’t chase rookies that have gone up, Shaggi.
Moraes, Clohesy, Bice. They’re your guys.
Laird @ 560k I also don’t like. No upside.
Good luck with that..my v.c. has been tagged in all games so far,the last being Rozee.
Who to boot from team first

Can’t trade him now that he’s getting Cats.
Any other matchup besides maybe Eagles and I’d get rid of him.
Everyone thought starting him against giants with no Ruck was worth it cps he would go huge but didn’t.
Yeah. Exactly what I did fml.
A 160+ C outta the gates would have made him worth it.
Sigh.
Lindsay to moraes
Kako – Humphrey
Currently 2700
Keep rolling dice till just need to concentrate on leagues
Can I ask why thumbs down at least
TU from me, Dubsy.
Kako still live but got out of jail with some great GA stuff late. Very low floor in his role at Essendon.
Humph covers on points and cash gen.
Lindsay will be back in 2 weeks maximum. Yes it’s going to be slow cash generation back you also need few of the late rookies. He has a solid JS and scoring potential. Unless you started him, it’s really not worth it.

Yep. TrooRoo on the money. I agree.
Smith I get being on the bubble and well capable of keeper scoring as a FWD. But I don’t like his injury profile and predominantly outside role.
His game v Freo and then Lions clear dichotomy of how his score is tied to outside supply and match conditions.
Couldn’t think of a less dicky-er world than dichotomy. Sorry lol.
Keep doing what you’re doing though, Wokkas! You’re Top 100, I’m 52k lmao.
Best of luck.

As a Cats fan I was very surprised he was sub.

What are we doing with Lalor and FOS for those that own them? Feel like it might be best to stick with them, they are going to play every week and inevitably their price will increase.
They high talent, low adaptability at the level rn.
I’m with you. Just wait. All they need is a spike game for their form, scoring and price. It’ll happen eventually.
They’ve both had good moments. Some of those quality high end draft picks just take a bit.
I have traded them both this week – Moraes and Erasmus. Slow burn is ok, BUT that is a lot of cash and the two i have traded in will catch up in price in 2-3 weeks + score 40-50 more point between them.
To GD and any other Eagles fans out there:
Thoughts on Ryan Maric? Seems a real sleeper and has a nice seagull role off half back. Sub R1, then 26 touches last week, 28 this week and went 123. 265k, -37 BE and 1% ownership. Does he keep up this role?
His new role was talked up in the pre season and the last two weeks have played it out.
It depends on your structure I think. I’m considering
On a football level, he does my head in.
But, yeah, the role is there taking the 3rd tall. We’ve also empowered him with KIs and some deep distribution, which none of our HBs are near given they’ve all been stationed quite high.
No objections, GK. He’ll remain down back.
Is Humphrey a must have?
TU: Get him in
TD: Fade
Might be worth a shot, but seems like a bit of a trap for me. Can see his scoring directly being tied to Gold Coast’s form, and they’re not gonna be smashing teams by 10 goals every week.
Agree, if you do get him now, you should also be planning to get rid of him within the next month
Not a must have but certainly manoeuvrable.
4th MID CBAs in a high use, attacking side.
I’m on board for now.
I’m considering getting him in for Parker who’s been ordinary so expect Parker to ton up next week whilst Humphrey returns to last years numbers.

How about this:
Rozee, JHF, Hastie > Daicos, Moraes, Humphrey

And you are my priorities to get in to replace them?

Flynn doesn’t seem to be best 22, needs to go.

If this was the only way to Rankine would you still hold JHF?
That’s tough, very team dependent I guess. What do your other priorities look like this week? I definitely wouldn’t boost to make that move.
Probably need Bice and Moraes so might hold JHF, thanks mate!
Welcome mate, I personally think there’s not much value in trading JHF out now. We can’t change the past, still very confident he will be a top 6 fwd from here on in.
I’m one for holding Premo’s however JHF looks shite and going for league wins and I’m in a cracking league.
I have Mcrea, Rankin, Smith and Daniel
If I was to trade home it would be Simpkin or Jackson.

Thinking sdk, fos and campo to bice, Baz and Humphrey.
This does mean that I’m holding Lindsay for however long he is out for. I still have Lalor too and I’m passing on Moraes.
Humphrey has played Eagles and Melbourne. had to get a good read on the form line.
Mind you, after Crows this week, he has North and Richmond before the tough games set in.
If you get him, you will need to grab the cash and look at trading him out again. You could get just as much cash (at a better ROI) with Moraes
Do people think Humphrey is a top 6 forward?
Not necessarily but the points on field could be better than Moraes while making the same amount of cash. He should be better to have on field till byes than most rookies but I’m personally going Maric cause I trust his role more and the dpp is helpful

Comment Keep Petracca
Keep Petracca
Who to get as my Flex to replace Flynn.
TU: Humphrey
TD: Maric
Sorry if I’ve missed it but have we heard anything about Lindsay? Worth keeping or trade time?
Report so far is minor injury.
Xavier Lindsay has been cleared of serious knee damage. He’s unlikely to be fit to play this week. Should be good for the following week.
Trade Petracca > Rankine?
TU: Paton and Perryman to Bice and Simpkin (plus some ITB)
TD: Paton, any mid rook, and Perryman to Bice, Moraes and TDK (would be running 3 rucks with Jackson Sent fwd & Xerri R1)
Thanks
This prob isn’t going to be a popular decision but I’m going SDK to Noble this week. Role looks good enough role for high 70s-80 which is all I really need there until later in the season. Anyone decent is $540k+ and I am nowhere near getting that together unless I sideways trade someone else as well or wait for an injury.
Could Bowey do the 70’s and 80’s your after for 30 to 40k less
Yeah had considered Bowey. Got too many Melb players with Trac, Oliver and I have decided to keep Lindsay. I think they play similar hard nut footy in a similar role but with Noble in a better team (i.e Bowey and Noble).
Anyway we’ll see. Going gut this time instead of following the sheep.
I actually kinda like the pick and respect backing your gut but if all you’re looking for is 70s or 80s, why not just go for a rookie like Bice who should be close to that and you’ll have heaps more cash to spend?
Either way I could regret it buy I can decide between these 2 trade packages.
Option 1
Out – Gawn, Freijah and Ashcroft
In – tdk, Rowell, bice
Option 2
Out – jhf, leake, knevitt
In – Rowell, bice and a forward rookie 140,000 or below

T.d option 2

Out – SDK, trac, JHF
In – sinclair/zorko, rowell, humphrey
Haven’t used a boost yet.
TU: Boost JHF to rankine?

Rankine could easy get away from you. getting subbed out in round 2 saved his price from becoming out of reach. think Heaney last year
T/U: Out – trac, knevitt, tsatas
In – humphrey, rowell, moraes
T/D: Out – SDK, trac, JHF

Thanks.
Currently have 36 trades $40k in bank.
TU – Paton / Camporeale > Bice / Moraes – 34 trades left (4 boosts left)
OR Boost
TU – Stone / Camporeale / Freijah > Bice / Moraes / Humphrey – 33 trades left (3 boosts left)
TU Kako >Humphrey
TD Short >Holmes
Out: Trac, FOS, Paton
In: Rankine, Moraes, Bice
TU: Good trades
TD: Not worth a boost
Sdk. to Zorko
good, concern about zorkos hammis
TU: Maric

TU: this option passes on bice & moreas but i believe makes the same $$ through maric & Humphrey and solid JS.
OUT: JHF, SPP & camporeale
IN: Maric, Humphrey, baz Smith
TD: this option passes on midprice madness grabs to rooks and keep JHF, who i actually don’t like at all.
OUT: SPP, camporeale & paton
IN: Bailey smith, bice & moreas
