    1. Thanks Abs,
I was intending to ask if I should included it in the post as a regular feature?

      Thumbs up – include
      Thumbs down – discard

      1. Even though it was a close vote!

I will include the rucks in all future posts.
( I guess the one down voter, you will just have to skip reading it)

Thank you for taking the time to vote.
        Cheers
        CT.

  2. Gidday CT,
a must read for me every week. Have some questions for you/team at SCT
    CBA,s
Darcy 54%/Meek 45%. Is this the “norm” for the rest of the yr.?
Goldy 18 Xerri 8. Does this makes Goldy very SC relevant?
De Goey High CBA’s every wk but very average SC scores ?
    Keep up the good work.

    1. De Goey is very similar to Stringer last year role-wise. Attacks the CB’s and the occasional contest, then moves into either deep forward or high up on the pitch.

Some bad ball use, uncontested possesions, unfriendly kick/HB ratio and goes missing all makes him SC irrelevant IMO.

Darcy and Meek ruck-split surely isn’t the norm. Meek was not doing much in the ruck, and Darcy was largely missing up forward. The win may hide that blemish, but I’d expect Longmuir to grant Darcy the lions share again, sooner than later.

      1. Thank you, Abs.
I was going to get around answering Wily’s question but got busy with MRO report.

        I agree with your analysis.

Craig McRae said that he didn’t consider De Goey a midfielder and as you stated he quickly goes forward.

Darcy and Meek have only played twice together this year. Rd 2, Darcy was having his first game, with the splits being Meek 59% and Darcy 31% and then next was Rd 12.
I too, doubt if this will continue but the future rounds will provide the answer.

Goldstein resumed as top dog during Xerri absence. Since both player the splits are Rd 10 and Rd 11 – Goldstein 57% Xerri 43%.
        Rd 12 Goldstein 52% Xerri 48%.
On figures Goldstein is very much relevant.

Thanks for reading and I am pleased that you find the post useful.
        Cheers
        CT.

  3. Hey GD,
an interesting thought i had about kick ins
despite not taking every kick in, docherty is often the first one dhip kicked too, basically meaning he has a kickout + mark to his score
while im not sure how easy it would be to track, it is interesting in that it could be advantageous to NOT take the kick in, but mark and than kick

    1. Hey, TT.

Tried to look into it but who gets targeted from the kick in isn’t really a stat that’s recorded – suspect CT, despite his wizardry, will return the same answer. One of those things you know by watching a certain team play a lot.

In the Blues case, yeah, if Docherty doesn’t take the kick in himself it’s either:

      a) taken by someone else and distributed to him
      b) or an audacious target down the line or set play is executed

Really strong all round HB economy. Great pick. If just got a funny feeling about him playing 22, idk. Hope he stays on the park.

      1. TT and GD,

As GD stated it is not a stat that I have seen recorded.

I agree totally with his reply.

        All the best.
