St Kilda (12.8.80) defeated by Gold Coast (14.19.103)

  1. Touk Miller (163). In a game with no real consequences, Miller finished up as the best score thanks to 40 touches (12 contested) plus 5 clearances, 7 marks, 6 tackles, 1 goal and 87% DE.
  2. Brad Hill (161). Game 300 for Hill and he was very similar to Miller, racking up 42 touches @ 90% DE with 944 metres gained.
  3. Max Hall (147). Another elite score to finish for Hall, a final 4 round average of 148. 37 touches (16 contested) plus 8 clearances, 5 tackles, 1 goal, 681 metres gained and 9 inside 50s.
  4. John Noble (127). Once again just racked up touches, having 42 across halfback plus 13 marks, 542 metres gained and 10 score involvements.
  5. Matt Rowell/Noah Anderson (118). These two finished off 2026 strong, with Rowell having 28 touches (20 contested) plus 11 clearances and 553 metres gained, while Anderson had 37 touches, 8 marks, 6 clearances, 612 metres gained and 1 goal.

Other 100+ scores: Hugo Garcia (107)

Disappointment: Wilkie (71) the culprit in this contest.

Rookies: To finish off the season, Phillipou (61) led the Saints ahead of O’Connell (55), Butler (48), Lake (37) and Hastie (22). The Suns had Lombard (96) who has been great, ahead of a number of other 2026 debutants in Rogers (66), Gulbin (58), Addinsall (56), Jepson (53) and Ballard (50).

Injuries: Couple of injuries to recruits De Koning and Silvagni to finish the season, both hurting their shoulder.

 

Collingwood (15.6.96) defeated by Brisbane (25.9.159)

  1. Logan Morris (141). The star of Friday night, Morris had 15 touches with 8 marks but it was the 8 goals that set him apart.
  2. Josh Dunkley (128). Classic Dunkley game, finding 27 touches (11 contested) plus 5 clearances, 6 tackles and no clangers all night.
  3. Lachie Neale (126). 35 touches (22 contested) for Neale with solid DE of 80%, adding 3 goal assists, 16 clearances and 6 inside 50s.
  4. Jordan De Goey (114). The best of the Pies, JDG found 32 touches with 2 majors, 6 marks and 6 clearances.
  5. Sam Swadling (109). Another great score to finish for the rookie. Ultimately collected 32 touches @ 81% DE plus 6 marks, 7 rebounds from 50, 1 major and 595 metres gained.

Other 100+ scores: Darcy Cameron (100)

Disappointment: Will Ashcroft (86) got a tag, while Josh Daicos (69) was down on recent form. His brother Nick Daicos (92) had a ton on the horizon but spent the last quarter on the bench resting.

Rookies: After Swadling, the Pies had Steele (99) and Anderson (81) provide great scores, even better if they were to cover the many injuries this week. Others included West (62), Harrison (35), Hayes (34) and Puncher (21). The Lions had McKenna (90) and the returning Gallop (50).

Injuries: Issues for the Pies leading into the wildcard weekend, with Pendlebury (knee) and Houston (finger) being on the injury report.

 

Carlton (18.11.119) defeated Fremantle (12.10.82)

  1. Luke Jackson (126). Led a very evenly spread scoring range, finishing Saturday with 14 disposals, 5 tackles, 1 major and 24 hitouts.
  2. Jagga Smith (125). The rookie of the year had one last super score, leading the Blues scoring with 31 touches @ 87% DE, 1 goal, 10 score involvements, 5 clearances and 5 inside 50s.
  3. Sam Walsh (122). 32 touches (13 contested) for Walsh, adding 1 major with 492 metres gained and 8 clearances.
  4. Andrew Brayshaw/Patrick Cripps (113). Brayshaw kept the midfield rolling, finding 21 touches with 8 tackles and 1 goal, while Cripps had 24 touches (10 contested) plus 8 tackles and 1 major.
  5. Brodie Kemp (105). Rounds out the game, slotting 3 goals from 13 touches plus another 2 goal assists and 6 inside 50s.

Other 100+ scores: Ben Ainsworth (103)

Disappointment: Going to go to Serong (84) who was down on recent form.

Rookies: After Smith and Kemp, the Blues only had Derksen (65) and Dean (54). A late season debut for Tobyn Murray (52) led the Dockers, with the other being Scerri (27).

Injuries: Clean cards for the Blues, the Dockers will be hoping a week off will do Brennan Cox (calf) and Josh Treacy (elbow) some good.

 

Melbourne (12.15.87) defeated by Western Bulldogs (16.12.108)

  1. Max Gawn (171). One of the really popular VC/C options delivered here, as we’ve become used to. 28 touches (15 contested) for Gawn, adding 5 marks, 450 metres gained, 10 clearances, 8 inside 50s and 59 hitouts.
  2. Ed Richards (137). The best of the Bulldogs, Richards finished his year on a high thanks to 30 touches (14 contested), 1 goal, 12 score involvements, 8 clearances, 495 metres gained and 6 inside 50s.
  3. Harrison Petty (134). Another solid score for Petty, one of several this year. 17 touches (12 contested) plus 3 majors, 11 marks, of which 8 were contested.
  4. Matt Kennedy (125). Nice game in the middle, having 26 touches (12 contested) plus 2 majors and 4 tackles.
  5. Marcus Bontempelli (124). Back in the side, Bont didn’t miss a beat, finding 27 touches with 11 marks, 2 goals and 13 score involvements.

Other 100+ scores: Joel Freijah (107)

Disappointment: Nothing bad here, maybe for anyone that held Dale (84)

Rookies: Tholstrup (98) led the Demons one last time, coming in ahead of Fitzgerald (62), Jefferson (49), Sharp (37) and Laurie (33). Arty Jones (78) the best for the Bulldogs, leading Hynes, Sellwood and Kennedy (59), Dolan (47), Gardner (39) and Carmichael (23).

Injuries: Some issues for both sides leading into a wildcard game, with Jefferson (knee) and Naughton (ankle) being on the injury report.

 

Geelong (20.13.133) defeated Richmond (11.10.76)

  1. Bailey Smith (171). Another really popular VC/C pick for the week, Smith went big, having 40 touches with 3 goals, 5 marks, 6 tackles, 8 inside 50s and a huge 863 metres gained.
  2. Shaun Mannagh (162). Elite up forward, Mannagh found 33 touches (11 contested) plus 3 goals, 11 score involvements, 5 marks, 7 tackles, 6 inside 50s and 640 metres gained.
  3. Tim Taranto (146). Caps off a great individual season, having 36 touches (24 contested) plus 1 goal, 10 clearances and 7 tackles.
  4. Toby Nankervis (144). The Tigers ruck went big to finish, having 24 touches (14 contested) to pair with 8 clearances and 31 hitouts.
  5. Ollie Dempsey (126). Rounds out the game, combining 27 touches with 1 goal, 7 marks and 6 tackles.

Other 100+ scores: Patrick Dangerfield (118), Jack Ross (104)

Disappointment: Tom Stewart (67), admittedly didn’t have a heap to do.

Rookies: Just Edwards (95) and Polkinghorne (48) for the experienced Cats. The Tigers had several though, led by Grlj (64), Retschko (52), Annand (51), Lefau (49), Ryan (40) and Clarke (29).

Adelaide (24.13.157) defeated GWS (15.11.101)

  1. Izak Rankine (187). Dominated again, rounding out his regular season with 35 touches (17 contested), 4 goals, 3 goal assists, 845 metres gained, 12 clearances and 6 inside 50s. Finished the last 7 rounds with a 156 point average.
  2. Taylor Walker (121). Incase it was a final farewell at Adelaide oval, Walker came to the party with 6 majors from 13 touches and 4 marks.
  3. Lachlan McAndrew (118). One final super score for one of the rookies of the year. 12 touches with 1 goal, 39 hitouts and 2 goal assists.
  4. Ben Keays (117). Busy night for Keays, having 25 touches with 3 goals plus 11 score involvements.
  5. Riley Thilthorpe (114). Rounds out the all Crows top five, having 21 touches with 9 marks, 6 inside 50s and 3 majors on Saturday night.

Other 100+ scores: Jordan Dawson (111), Lachie Ash (108), Jake Stringer (101)

Disappointment: Oliver (70) and Whitfield (88) the culprits here.

Rookies: Hall-Kahan (96) had one last very solid score for us, leading the rookies (bar McAndrew) for the Crows, ahead of Cook (63) and Borlase (38). Delena (55) came in ahead of Gruzewski (53) and Hamilton (36).

Injuries: Some issues for the namesakes here. Zac Taylor (hamstring) for the Crows, Sam Taylor (concussion) for GWS.

 

Essendon (14.11.95) defeated by Port Adelaide (16.9.105)

  1. Jase Burgoyne (150). The only Port player to feature in the top five, Burgoyne had the midfield on his back with 30 touches (15 contested) plus 8 tackles, 581 metres gained, 7 clearances and 2 goals.
  2. Will Setterfield (145). Elite stuff from Setterfield in the middle, finding 32 touches (15 contested) with 7 marks, 7 clearances and 10 tackles.
  3. Zach Merrett (120). In possibly his final game for the Bombers, Merrett held his high standards, having 32 touches, 7 marks and 1 major.
  4. Andrew McGrath (119). 25 touches for the skipper, running at 92% DE as well as a massive 13 tackles and 5 inside 50s.
  5. Zach Reid (114). Rounds out the top five, grabbing 11 marks and having 19 touches @ 90% across the backline.

Other 100+ scores: Nate Caddy (108), Jordon Sweet (100)

Disappointment: Roberts (86) wasn’t the same after his shoulder injury, playing a loose, low metres gained role that wasn’t great for scoring.

Rookies: Sharp (74) capped off a great rookie season by leading the Bombers, coming in ahead of Day-Wicks (56), Kondogiannis (51), Farrow and Visentini (50), Unwin (48) and Artemis (47). Whitlock (79) led Port ahead of Will Brodie (77), who returned to the Port side to finish the year. Bamert (59), Van Wyk (58), Lai (55), Zadow (48), Ramm (45), Anastasopoulos (42), Marshall (30) and O’Brien (19) the other bulk rookies.

Injuries: Wright (knee) the injury out of this game.

 

Sydney (17.21.123) defeated North Melbourne (10.10.70)

  1. Errol Gulden (119). Led a pretty tame game of scoring compared to the rest of the round. Had 41 touches plus 3 goal assists, 10 inside 50s, 6 clearances and 1055 metres gained.
  2. Callum Mills (115). Great down in the back half, Mills had 26 touches @ 88% DE plus 5 marks, 502 metres gained and 6 rebounds from 50.
  3. Tristan Xerri/Brodie Grundy (112).  No split between the ruckman. Xerri had 21 touches (16 contested) plus 1 goal, 5 marks and 17 hitouts, while Grundy finished with 26 touches (15 contested) with 7 clearances and 28 hitouts.
  4. Jy Simpkin (106). Had the midfield role, collecting 26 touches plus 8 marks, 8 tackles, 1 goal and 6 clearances.
  5. Billy Cootee (105). The rookie rounds out the top five, kicking 3 goals from 16 touches while adding 4 tackles and 5 inside 50s.

Other 100+ scores: Cam Zurhaar (104)

Disappointment: A final round tag for Davies-Uniacke (82).

Rookies: Just Banch (55), Goater (50) and Dawson (34) for North. After Cootee, there was one last notable score for Serong (97), as he led Dattoli (92), McDonald (75), Hanily (72), Green (68) and Kyle (32).

Injuries: No injuries to report on for either side.

 

West Coast (6.9.45) defeated by Hawthorn (16.11.107)

  1. Lloyd Meek (142). Despite the conditions, the Hawks ruckman top scored thanks to 16 touches, 4 clearances, 5 inside 50s and 31 hitouts.
  2. Conor MacDonald (132). Great game between the arcs, finishing the regular season with 23 touches @ 91% DE, 10 score involvements, 6 marks, 453 metres gained and 5 tackles.
  3. Milan Murdock (116). One of this years best rookies had one last hurrah, finding 24 touches, 5 tackles and 3 goals.
  4. Tyler Young (106). The Eagles recruit was pretty solid down back, having 19 touches (9 contested) plus 7 marks, 629 metres gained and 95% DE.
  5. Mitch Lewis (103). Rounds it all out, kicking 2 goals from 14 touches and 10 marks (4 contested).

Other 100+ scores: Josh Ward (101)

Disappointment: Williams (79) and McCarthy (76) for the Eagles, Day (88), Newcombe (86), Sicily (74) and Impey (69) for the Hawks.

Rookies: After Murdock, the Eagles had Herbert (79), Duursma (64), Allan (55), Duff-Tytler (43), Gross (40) and Lindsay (27). Beattie (81), MacDonald (72) and Dalton (48) for the Hawks.

Injuries: Starcevich (cut head) the only concern here.
