Game Chat – GWS v Geelong

Written by Thommo on July 25 2015

The Giants have lost all three matches against the Cats in their short history but they will seek to remedy that fact today. Injuries to key defenders briefly unsettled their momentum but GWS have rapidly adjusted to the loss and are again powering towards a final 8 birth. They need 4 wins from their last 7 to guarantee finals and Leon Cameron will have this game chalked down as very winnable.

The Cats will still have a glimmer of hope that they can play finals in 2015 and with the return of Selwood to the fold, they too will consider this a winnable game. Oddly enough, losing their captain for a week may have actually taught Caddy, Motlop and Duncan a lesson about on-field leadership so Geelong may surprise their younger rivals today.

Thommo’s tip: GWS by 15 points.

  1. Who out for Ablett? Suggestions welcome.

    Midfielders currently are:

Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Hannebery, Beams, Gray, Selwood, Wines (Steele, McKenzie, Amon)

Need to make a downgrade from McKernan – Knight/Laverde in order to go to the GAJ fund.

    Cheers guys
