  1. I’m overdue for some bragging.

    533 / 4 / Cripps

Cripps with the VC and McLean excellent, Naughton and Richards serviceable. Decided not to trade in Simpson this week, which might turn out to be a win also. Team still needs plenty of work, but it’s a nice start!

Mclean and Cripps have done real well. Shame that i have Gowers on the bench as i would take that from a fwd rookie

  3. 332 / 3 / Titch into Fyfe

    The Good:
    – First decent scoring game since I brought McLean in for Billings
    – I brought Mirra in for Hibberd, to bring Gray in for Garlett. Benched Mirra and played Naughton (78) that worked out quite well considering what Hibberd has averaged this season
    – Cripps continues to deliver
    – Also had the crazy idea of trading in Simmo for Hibbo instead of the above.. seems like it was worth ignoring that idea

    The Bad:
    – Took VC off Cripps at the last second
    – Haven’t completely addressed forward line woes with Buddy out, but next round lining up as Buddy | Heeney | Gray | McLean | Langdon | Fritsch doesn’t sound too bad

    1. I went with Simpson for Hibberd. Didnโ€™t seem like a crazy idea at the time. In fact, it felt like the safe option. That turned out pretty wrong though.

Or sub Murray off after his short 4 day break for
    L.Murphy
    475 / 3 / taking Naughtons score
    T/U Take Naughtons score
    T/D Leave Murray on field

  5. Not going for ranking purely league

    T/u Hibberd to Yeo

T/d Hibberd to Mirra bank the cash then look to get titch in a couple of weeks via Brayshw

Subbed Murphy on for Murray to take Naughton(E) going on sensible feedback above.
Finally up on predicted scores on a Friday night. Wrapped.
Might just get to 2300 for the first time since Rd1.
    What could possibly go wrong??!

  7. 401/4/Danger to Fyfe

Crippa, Mclean and Fisher OK but I reckon Young Josh is on his last legs. Will sub Murray for Naughton so effectively 479/5.

Got the Bont in perfect 9, rest should be a formality, right?

Why is it when ever I’m in the SCT Cup in guaranteed a rubbish score, then as soon as I’m out BANG, I’m back

    1. It’s a two week H2H Matteo and with a start like that you’re a chance to reel me in mate. I’m fielding two more rookies than last week cause of Sicily & Petracca.

  9. Just Crippsy’s score so far, no complaints here

Loopholing Naughton, who to take off

    TU: Murray
    TD: Mirra

  10. 531 / 5 / still deciding

Cripps, Bont, C Curnow and Fisher. The 5th is Naughton who I’ll loophole with Murphy from the Crows.

Went two rookies with my trades this week. Richards for Mirra and Garlett for Guelfi. Little understrengrh this week cause of Sicily and Petracca missing. Still throwing my options around for the vc/c.

Playing Father in the Contributors League. Think I’ll write that one off but just gotta do enough to hold my lead over Matteo in the SCT Cup.

  11. 467/3 with taking cripps v. Simmo like a yoyo. Will take naughton’s 78 via loop so really 545/4.
Nearly traded naughton for yeo but held off due to hammy uncertainties…he’ll go up more than yeo so no loss there.
I hate carlton, but feel so sorry for Cripps…just the mid bull we need at Bomberland.

  12. 542/ 4 Macrae

McLean, Macrae, Simmo & taking Naughtonโ€™s 78 loopholing Murphy for Murray.

Only downside Simmo traded him in for Hibberd ๐Ÿ™ .. hopefully works long term though

  13. 233/3 Coniglio into Dusty

Having one of those years I’m afraid. Ranked 40k. Injuries, wrong rookies on field, Sicily, Hibberd…
Twice I’ve depended on English. This is what happens:

    R1: 83
R2: 33 trade in and on field covering Krooozer
    R3: 76 EMG
    R4: 78 EMG
    R5: 78 EMG
    R6: 44 on field.

I thought surely my luck will turn around. So, will move Sicily into DEF for Hibberd (had enough of him) and take Naughton’s EMG 78, so I fully expect a DEF late out and to cop a donut!

    Why didnโ€™t I Vc one? โ€โ™‚๏ธ
    VC Selwood into Fyffe.
Probably take SC advice and loop Naughtonโ€™s score & give Murray a rest on the bench.
Had a great start, so why am I so very nervous?

Was doing well but once again Billings became a renowned butcher. To back that up Holman has shown himself the door for next week but most have him so it isnt a major dent in the score.
Danger and Stef both scoring 90s hurts the score but Savage rebounding from last week is what i like to see.

    1. Just redone the maths … Holman’s BE for next week will be 36/37. Another 80+ will give you $20k+. Worst case, he’ll hit his BE you’d think. Those who offloaded him a couple of weeks ago after one bad score rued their decision. Just saying.

  17. 916/11/VC currently on Titch (will likely loop in)

Thought I botched the week as I fell asleep playing around with some trades well before the 1st bounce of the round and ended up forgetting to E Naughtom. Crossed my fingers and my ‘play-around’ trade in of Mirra put up a nice score of 71 to stay close. That move also put Finlayson on field in the Mids and Holman on the bench so that’s a big win there.

Big minus for Billings. Big plus for starting with Taranto. Taranto putting up scores that were my expectations for Billings, and Billings putting up scores worse than my expectations for the mid-pricer Taranto.

I see I’ve got Chillo this week in SCT3. We’re currently projected for a draw at 2102!

    Who takes the W!?

    T/U – Mantini’s marksmen
    T/D – Chillo’s Champs

Either way, I hope we can both blast that projection out of the water and put up a couple nice scores!

  18. 1472 / 15 / Fyfe or Dusty or Gawn (probably Fyfe)

    Projected is 2238.

Only 4 tons in that with a lot of 80s and 90s. Loopholing everyline this week has meant I can take Naughton’s score and I’ll also dodge Holman’s stinker.

H2H vs Father will come down to the skipper choice. There’s a bit of ducks and drakes going on as we’ve both flipped and flopped with our choices. He’s currently on Gawn against Leuenberger and I’m on Fyfe in the Derby.

    1. I’m not optimistic. I think Nank is likely to let me down, and one of your rookies is likely to over perform their projections. I won’t know who my captain is until lockout I suspect. I’m waffling like the bloke who works the waffle station at a busy brunch buffet.

      1. Agree that Nank is probably overs at 101 but I think Walters will score more than his projected 81. My POD rookies (Guelfi, Banfield and Fritsch) are all projected for their average so they’re pretty on par.

Interesting that you have Cox sitting at R3. Seems extravagant.

        1. Hmm, indeed sort of. I had planned to have Cox at F7-8, with a non-playing fwd/ruck at R3 to swap with him if I needed ruck backup. Then, of course, I completely stuffed up that plan by having picked English as my loophole option. The new plan is to put whichever one looks likely to score more each week in the forwards, and then once he has made his money, to downgrade English to another Fwd/Ruck, once again making Cox the F7-8.

I am thinking that I will want to bring in Grundy after his bye, which makes Cox an even better backup since if Grundy goes down I have his actual replacement to replace him.

If I did want to trade out Cox, I would want to wait until he is scoring better and his price improved, although I am not seeing a reason to trade him since the whole reason to have him is as backup, and I still want that.

          1. Good plan B Father. Your team seems just solid and balanced. Good starting choice. English is also just another rookie. Cox is still learning the game and has few big scores in him. For his price it is not worth wasting a trade. He stuffs few set shots every weeks so it is a matter of time. Ruckmen are also injury prone and if Grundy goes down..

My decision to hold on the Bonner to Mirra trade can only be described as a major fail. Struggled to loophole anything this week and am paying the price.Billings your scores are putrid and you make me want to vomit for hanging onto you, you will be De Goey if he scores well today.

  20. 1261/14/ Fyfe or Gawn
First time my team is starting to take shape except Holman and Billings on field. Now I am praying for Freo to deliver in the Derby.

Captain: Please advise and comment. I need the score
    TU Fyfe
    TD Gawn

    1. Gawn is playing Leuenberger and last week Gawn had 19 HTA and that was against Richmond who would be sharking the taps. Essendon on real low form and with a 2nd choice ruckman i think Gawn will absolutely dominate

      1. Have to agree, and with my C button on Titch not working (think I missed the bounce by a matter of seconds) I am faced with the same choice/dilemma.
Am gonna go Gawn … I think.
