Tuesday Poll : Trading after one round?

Every season we have our fair share of crap starts and look to make corrections immediately. Understandable, but if you need help deciding which way to go, this poll may just influence your decision.

We had many failed rookies from the record 24 debutants, at least in the sense of maximising points from those we had on the field. Stop and think if they are worth throwing away after one look considering the majority of them will make some coin. Do we need to get rid of the worst of them to get in the best of them after that single look. Check out the poll below.

Similarly, do we throw the toys out of the cot when it comes to premo fails. Wighty has stated a few times on the site that we should never trade sideways for premos. I had Lachie Neale’s 40 but I will not consider trading him. I was happy to bring him in due to Brisbane losing the bye, but not so much after the Jordan suffocation job. That will not happen every week so I will back him in.

It may be a different story for the speculative mid pricer fails. You’d be very tempted by Jack Macrae and Bazlenka if you originally faded them, but who gets the chop for them to enter your team. Check out the poll and let us know your thoughts, and good luck with whatever path you go down.

  1. Not normally a fan of rage trading but will be force trading at least Luke Cleary. Would have kept him for at least one more week if not for the injury. Probably try to find a way to bring in Lindsay.

  2. Only reason I’d see myself trading this week is to give leeway for next week’s trades. If there was a couple injuries this week I’d want to be able to deal with them and correct wrong picks at the same time. Can’t trade everyone though

Thankfully it is only best 18 to work around that

  3. I think I can see 4 or 5 trades that I might have to make next week so it forces me into making 1 or 2 this week. Sanders to Smith is so easy then getting LAshcroft for one of Tsatas or Garcia might be the other one

  4. Just considering the popular trade of Perryman to SDK. After his promising opening round, Perryman looks like he’ll be tagging after doing the job on JHF (the frustration of one of your players tagging someone else in your team). Tagging is going to be the new growth industry this year after the shutdowns of Naicos and Neale so far – by season’s end, every team will have at least one tagger or run-with player.
I could wait a week but I don’t want to miss out on SDK’s possible dream role of being the R1 against the possible Marshall-less Saints. Is Romo playing? Not a good sign being off the ground having your knee iced in Round 1.
