Hi Everybody!
Having played Supercoach for a while I should, in thoery, have learned a few things. I know my past self has realized that I should be avoiding players who have not had a full/proper pre-season. Maybe not cows, but other players. I have probably leanred that lessons several times. But, have I? If I keep doing it, selecting payers who have not had a full/proper pre-season…I have .not learned that. I might know the guideline, and I might be able to explain it to other people, but If I am not following the guideline, well, I think that makes me a slow learner.
Same with planning for the Byes. Same with being careful about rookie job security. Same with having a lot of injury prone players.
This season, I am trying to pay attention to lessons from the past more carefully. Maybe it will help, and maybe it will turn on that should have made an excpetion for someone. It seem so easy in the excitement of the first rolling lockout to do “the thing” whatever it is, and sod the rules. Gonna try to avoid that theis year.
Curious what other people have learned from the past, or perhaps have not yet learned. Maybe I should start a 12 step program for dodgy mid-pricers. Maybe I should proofread things I write at 1:00am. For sure I should go take a nap before I have to get up for a match at 4:30am my time.
Thanks for reading!
One of the lessons I’m trying to learn is to not suddenly make lots of changes to my team in the last few days before Rd1. I’ve done this a fair bit over the years and last year I definitely made bad choices in the last few days/hours. Hoping to back in the preseason thinking a bit more this time around.
This could, of course, be totally wrong.
