I have no doubt that Grundy is the better pick. Probably finishes R1. It really comes down to how much you can afford to spend and what it does for your future plans ect.
Mccluggage still a viable play this week?
Looking to play the value game as I want to save money for fallen uber premos upcoming
(Holmes & Xerri)
The role is great, the TOG is much better. Is it a simple as Brisbane just had an off night in the wet, coming off a short break and got well beaten against Geelong?
That’s actually really smart. All the reasons to pick him are still there. I’d still want a week to see a bit more from him but I cannot fault that logic
as a hawks supporter i think he does. Scrimshaw was dropped and now he is injured. he has shown a bit, has gone in very hard into some contests and Sammy loves that. i can see him getting a few more games.
Out: McAndrew, Sellwood. In: Kalani White, Archie Roberts.
Willing to forego what little McAndrew has left to make. Leaves me with Lindsey D6 until his bye.
i was ready to pull the trigger on mcandrew a couple of weeks ago but his last couple of games been solid. ill keep him till the bye at least. re kalani white, potential definitely there but he hasnt been pulling up trees in the reserves side…
I’ve done my version of the maths and I’m 143 and two-thirds % sure I can afford a red dot at r3. Points are secondary to getting to 23 premiums for me, hopefully I’ll take what I learn this year and play for rank next year.
Who to bring in this week…
TU: Roberts (means Ill still have to play Retshko/Anderson on field)
TD: Smith (means Ill still have to play Sellwood/Busslinger on field)
Lost my SC Cup matchup by 15 points. They had Grundy as VC and I took a punt on Bont for the C. Very frustrating when my side overall is stronger. Can bring in a forward to complete my forward line
Yes, that’s true but I don’t mind if it’s for an upgrade to McInereny, Pickett, Rankine, Ross OR Miller etc. He’s BE is about his avg, so if doesn’t make that he starts losing money and id rather go a tad early then late
Ooh will he get def? That’s going to be the easiest choice of the season to complete my backline if so. That might slightly change my second trade plans, hadn’t thought of that
Plans keep changing! Was going to bring Grundy in round 12 but bringing that forward a week. Cook (flex) to Grundy an easy one with cash in the bank.
Potential 2nd trade more interesting. Can go a week early on McAndrew and use the flex for either Serong or Sparrow. Serong fallen premo, was in early season plans, is he back? And Sparrow in contract year with DPP, scores of 128, 105, 97 and 99 in last 4, no chance of a tag. Both in good teams, price almost identical. One popular, one a clear POD.
Think I’m in the same boat, planning on just cashing on Blamires to Ryan since he is on the bubble. Then downgrade both McAndrew and Cook on their bye next week to warm rookie bodies since it’s best of 18 scoring. Should give me about $575k in the bank to target premos from rd 12 onwards.
if i trade out blamires and murdock, that leads me with 500k if i get the carlton rookie (119k), do i just trade to the rookie this week or get a underpriced premo, (wilkie looks like my number 1 pick, but would prefer a mid feilder, any thoughts? also please drop some midfeilders that are 500k
I have swapped Whitfield and Dale about a dozen times, Dale has a low BE, Whitfield has a high BE
Dale at the moment but that could change.
Rd16 byes is a problem for me, lucky to have 15 at the moment.
Grundy seems to manage to have the best run of games. i remember he did that last year as well, as soon as he had a tougher match up they got injured. he has Geeling and Richmond next two, insane stuff.
I’m kinda thinking of holding off this week cause I don’t have any rookies that I want to get rid of just yet and can double (or even triple) downgrade next week when there’s more clarity with rookies to build bank for bye upgrades. So should I do the following trade this week?
TU: Murdock & Cook to Serong & Ison
TD: Hold trades for better bye upgrades
Should i be doing this trade or am i going a bit early? Like Robert’s next 3 games
Murdock, cook to Robert’s & ison
TU – do it (leaves me with 4 rookies)
TD – hold off and keep cook and murdoc, still scoring well
There’s a rumour going around that B Smith won’t play this weekend. Don’t know if it’s valid or not. But if so Holmes might play more mid… Hopefully not!
Early in the week I’m ready to go a risky trade in
Blamires to Ryan so I can go gothard to de goey
Thumbs down will dominate this post but I’m not going to win SuperCoach so why not
supercoach is meant to be fun so do the fun thing but I would say that guys like Murphy Reid, Harvey Thomas and Josh Rachele are all in that price range and averaging about 10 points more with a lot more consistency than De Goey
You will need both IMO depends a lot on your team structure who goes 1st I personally will be looking at bulding a bank to go shopping for bargain fallen prems lifting coming final time
Hello everyone,
I am currently holding 4 1/2 premos (Kerch) in defense
8 in midfield
And 4 in the forwards.
Upon looking at trade options am I better off going
TU: Busslinger and Murdock for ison and Whitfield
TD: Murdock and phillipou for a premium forward (all have really high BE or bad matchups for my liking and pocket 150k
Comment if you think xerri or Nandos (byes won’t matter I am spaced out well
My name on SuperCoach is gwsgloryhole
Serong is concerning, last 2 weeks have been really good and if he holds that it’s a no brainer, but he could get 4 tags/run-withs in the next 4 weeks (Garcia, Dunkley, Simpkin/FOS, Mullin). Food for thought
Ehh, not yet? A forward averaging 80 has to be far from your biggest issue. Like any small forward, he’s up and down so you just have to wear some 60 scores for the occasional 120+. Trade him out once you’ve finished upgrading rookies or even better, hold him as an F6/7 to try to loop later in the season to get the spike scores and avoid the lows hopefully
I think it could be a week to just hold trades. If it’s just for cash gen, you want to make sure those guys will actually generate cash and getting them before they’re on the bubble is always risky
Is L Parker an option as a semi-fallen premo at $490k?
Has had a tough run with Geelong – Sydney – Adelaide causing a $70k cash drop, but now has a nice run of Suns, Crows (harder), Eagles, Tigers, Essendon, then Port
Bye next week not ideal but not keen on a $540k+ premo with 6 more upgrades to be made to round out my team
TU: Yes
TD: Spend a bit more money for a higher cost premo
Context – Bailey completes the midfield, but I’ve neglected defenders. Well stocked for trades, so it’s just a matter of which upgrades when. Have prioritised midfielders as more points.
Current back six – Whitfield, Sinclair, Worrell, Lindsay, Farrow, Busslinger..
Not worth it. If you’re shopping in that price range Tom Stewart is a decent shout. Wilkie, Worrell, J Daicos and Zorko are all just a little more and would also be worth more of a shot
Surprised to see no love on here for a 400k D Cam whos got the easiest ruck fixtures for the year and will solo ruck going forward. The downside is it makes it impossible to own all 3 of gawn, xerri and Grundy but for a guy who averaged 111 and 105 in the last 2 years it feels like good buying. Whats everyones thoughts?
Why are people hesitant to trade cook if you can upgrade to a premium? He also has the bye next week so what’s the point in really keeping him for a week if you can upgrade him. I know he’s scored well but he also had a break even of 74
It’s not unfathomable to think a player could have just improved and be in better form than previous years? Think the addition of Silvagni to the side also allows Wilkie to free up a bit more and intercept.
i think McKercher is half a chance to get Forward status added after this round. if you still have Marshall for a swing, worth thinking about holding him
Grundy is a nice get if you can make it happen, but you don’t want to sell the house to get him either.
I’ll be holding Cook for a few more weeks, a forward DPP who is averaging near 80 over the byes, yes please.
same with Murdock, he will get forward DPP after this week and another forward DPP who is averaging around 80 is ok in my team, especially a round 15 bye.
i can see the attraction to get Grundy though, some very easy match ups
I think Cook is worth trading with the high breakeven and he’s already pretty much maxed out price on top of having the bye next week. Murdock just seems like he has a little more cash to eeke out before I’d trade him
McAndrew to emergency ruck, Steene to flex then to forward, Cook to flex, Steene to forward bench to await new bubble, T Marshall to forward a chance to play covered by emergency Lombard.
Trade out Cook for L Smith bubble Bevo’d (surely replaces Emmett) or red dot Kalani White flexible 99k ruck-forward, move to emergency ruck, McAndrew to flex.
TU: Bowey??? (POD option, likely consistent, Salem is out for weeks so should take bulk/all kick-ins, good upcoming match-ups for defenders, reduced ceiling potential however)
Wanting to trade Houston to Darcy Cameron, Cameron scoring potential + net small amount of coin. Will put Lindsey D6 and McAndrew to flex, ready to turn him into Xerri in a few weeks time
Houston BE 133
Cameron BE 122
Pull the trigger this week or next week? All comes down to do we think Houston will go 100+ against west coast as I believe DC will go 100+ against west coast
Houston? started him, he’s be solid enough but won’t be near top 6. Especially with Max Holmes most likely to get DPP now. He is my only avenue to Grundy!
TU – Houston & Blamires -> Grundy & B. Ryan / Ison
Is anyone else thinking of not trading this week? Heading so close into the byes, all the players I want have a pretty high BE too or they have the bye next week.
(Holmes, Heeney, Xerri, Anderson, Rankine ect) the list goes on!
Is it a viable play to just correct up a dead rookie this week and then continue the upgrades next week and the week after continue picking up premiums off their bye?
I have been a bit torn about that also actually. Was thinking of just downgrading Sellwood to get some cash and skip upgrading. Then just getting a little worried about falling behind upgrades in my league.
The two weeks before the byes are tricky to trade because you’re bringing players in who are about to miss a game. I like using the two for cash gen and downgrades and then upgrade players coming off byes so I’m not trading this week but might do a double, triple or even quadruple downgrade next week. I think we get 3 trades and I still have a boost so if all of Ison, NRT, Banfield and Oliver look the goods, I can get them all then just have cash for upgrades after byes
Whilst I see chatter about holding M Murdoch who has served us well, I think WC have got the taste of blood in their mouth partly served by applying hard tags partly given by MM. The result being a measly 38 points at 78% TOG. Pies this week Im sure he will be set the same role on ND and then possibly Roberts next.
Is it time to bump while still climbing.
TU yes role change likely so cash in
TD won’t be able to run with ND and so will revert to normal role so hold.
He did lose 16 points with the 100 m penalty in the game. If he doesn’t do something like that he would’ve finished on 54 which is roughly his breakeven now. I think even if tagging, he should score a bit better so can hold but can be a trade too
tossing up between bont and bailey smith this week, usually bont would be a no brainer but im just weighing up how this injury he’s carrying will affect future scores and for how long
tu Bont
td smith
With Busslinger out injured for an undetermined time and him being pretty disappointing overall anyway, is it worth trading him out to Derksen for cash?
Or
TU Pou, Blamires Steene -> Any def premo derksen and banfield (Roberts or Wilkie or someone else recommend in comments pls)
TD Pou Blamires Steene -> any premo fwd, derksen, and ryan (Thinking Mcinerney or Ross)
Before the byes, I just want to bank cash but have now changed plans with Busslinger out to Derksen meaning I have upgraded Cook. What option do I go for?
TU: Grundy
TD: Wait for Jackson after his bye
Peter Somerville
I have no doubt that Grundy is the better pick. Probably finishes R1. It really comes down to how much you can afford to spend and what it does for your future plans ect.
I’m getting Grundy and will aim for one of Jackson/X to be Flex
Can’t not have Grundy taking the piss every week.
Geelong and Richmond next two
Derek
He maybe rested in the second game
Hopefully not but a strong chance
Mccluggage still a viable play this week?
Looking to play the value game as I want to save money for fallen uber premos upcoming
(Holmes & Xerri)
The role is great, the TOG is much better. Is it a simple as Brisbane just had an off night in the wet, coming off a short break and got well beaten against Geelong?
Mccluggage at 465k
TU/TD
That’s actually really smart. All the reasons to pick him are still there. I’d still want a week to see a bit more from him but I cannot fault that logic
he actually touched the ball alot, but fumbled it. was in the guts, had good TOG but the pressure and the wet made it a tough day for him.
I couldn’t believe the fumbles.. it was so frequent you’d think it was deliberate.
Early thoughts are
Out: Cumming, Blamires and Marshall
In: Ison, Roberts Thomson and Whitfield
Sorry
B Ryan in not Roberts Thomson
Thoughts on Jack Ross as a forward option?
B.Ryan
Does he hold his spot?
Barass out for weeks helps surely. Day back soon
hmmmmmm
as a hawks supporter i think he does.
T/U: Thumbs Up
T/D: Thumbs Down
*McAndrew was sitting R3 anyway
If you have held McAndrew at R3 this long surely you keep him through the bye rounds for Ruck coverage, now that his score will count.
It’s do-able, but it means letting go of Murdoch earlier than I’d like to and bringing in Ison earlier than I’d like to.
i was ready to pull the trigger on mcandrew a couple of weeks ago but his last couple of games been solid. ill keep him till the bye at least. re kalani white, potential definitely there but he hasnt been pulling up trees in the reserves side…

TU McInereny
TD Ross
Comment TOUK, Pickett etc
Is it Cook time to trade out
TU Yes
TD NO
He’s averaging decent scores, if there are other spuds on field I’d look to move them on first.
Yes, that’s true but I don’t mind if it’s for an upgrade to McInereny, Pickett, Rankine, Ross OR Miller etc. He’s BE is about his avg, so if doesn’t make that he starts losing money and id rather go a tad early then late
He also has that Rd 12 bye which is an issue for most people. He’s been amazing but I don’t think there’s a problem with trading him this week
Is it time to trade Selwood out
TU Yes
TD No
Early thoughts:
OUT: Jaques & Poo
IN: Ison & Clugg
(Rookie subject to change)
Plan is to be conservative with funds this week and target Holmes next week at a great price hopefully as a defender!
Ooh will he get def? That’s going to be the easiest choice of the season to complete my backline if so. That might slightly change my second trade plans, hadn’t thought of that
Holmes was about 36% defender before last week, he is a very good chance to get DPP
TU – Touk Miller
TD – Rankine
Both have their bye next week
TU: John noble
TD: Nick blakey
Plans keep changing! Was going to bring Grundy in round 12 but bringing that forward a week. Cook (flex) to Grundy an easy one with cash in the bank.
Potential 2nd trade more interesting. Can go a week early on McAndrew and use the flex for either Serong or Sparrow. Serong fallen premo, was in early season plans, is he back? TU: Serong
TD: Sparrow
Comment hold one more week.
When Young is in always going to take some of Serongs points.
Yep I’ve cooled on Serong. I like Sparrow but holding on that too, getting B Ryan in with the lack of def rookie options instead
Tu: Cook, Pou to Roberts, Ison / Ryan
Tu: Cook, Grlj to Ash, Ison / Ryan
im holding cook. hes been solid for the last couple weeks
I know in an ideal world id hold cook to bye at least (which is only 1 week away). But someone good has to go if you want to bring in a big gun
its hard to say that trading in anyone in round 11 is a good idea with the byes coming up.
personally i’m looking at cashing up the next couple of weeks ready for a byeing spree from round 13 onwards.
Thats my plan next week. Double down lombard and marshall to the rooks on the bubble. But not upgrading 2 weeks in a row could set you back
Tempted to get Wilkie despite the big BE, but might wait another week.
So which uber premo (with a good bye)?
TU Gawn (flex)
TD Bailey Smith
comment Bont
Thanks all, but with the news of Baz’s dodgy shoulder, I’ve decided to go for Max. Ruck coverage during the byes and a genuine fallen premium!
if i trade out blamires and murdock, that leads me with 500k if i get the carlton rookie (119k), do i just trade to the rookie this week or get a underpriced premo, (wilkie looks like my number 1 pick, but would prefer a mid feilder, any thoughts? also please drop some midfeilders that are 500k
The only pure mid you might consider at that price is Caleb Serong. Classic fallen premium this week.
Otherwise you could look at DPP options like Sanders or McInerney, with the plan of moving them forward later on
TU- Whitfield
TD- Blakey
Comment- Dale, Short, Wilkie or Noble
I have swapped Whitfield and Dale about a dozen times, Dale has a low BE, Whitfield has a high BE
Dale at the moment but that could change.
Rd16 byes is a problem for me, lucky to have 15 at the moment.

Hi all, feeling quite stuck with what to do. Would appreciate any suggestions especially coming in to RD12 bye where I will have hardly any FWDs.
Def: Sinclair, Ash, Clark, Daicos, Coleman, Lindsay (Busslinger, Edwards)
Mid: Butters, Bont, Merrett, Daicos, Richards, Murdock, Retschko, Anderson (Tsatas, Cumming, Sharp)
Ruck: Grundy, Jackson (ZZ)
Fwd: Trac, Sheezel, Pickett, Flanders, Cook, Lombard (Marshall, Edwards)
Flex: Pou
23,1 (trades) & 37k ITB
Any suggestions would be much appreciated 🙂
TU: C Serong
TD: Anderson
Better trade in for the defence this week.
TU: Archie Roberts
TD: Nick Blakey
TU – Oliver
TD – Derksen
TU – Ryan
TD – Derkson
Thinking of upgrading cook
TU – McInerney
TD – Treacy
Comment any other
TU: Wilkie
TD: Zorko
TU – be patient and play the downgrade game this week, 1 trade: Blamires > Ryan
TD – be aggressive and go hard to improve my FWD, 3 trades: McAndrew, Lindsay, Cook > Ryan, Ross, McInerney/Touk/Rankine
TD – hold off and keep cook and murdoc, still scoring well
Roberts has a BE of 113. He’s likely to keep going up in price with this run coming up. I grabbed him now while I could.
his price will drop a fair bit with the 151 dropping out this week
$10-20k if he keeps going at his average? I’m thinking he goes well over his average the next three weeks…
TU. Whitfield. TD Noble. Last of my defenders spots
TU. Whitfield. TD Noble. Last of my defenders spots.
Hold trades, Max Holmes will probably get dpp next week
Holmes is 35.9% Defender. it is going to be close.
There’s a rumour going around that B Smith won’t play this weekend. Don’t know if it’s valid or not. But if so Holmes might play more mid… Hopefully not!
Cal Wilkie in for me.
$463k … and if you remove his game where he copped the injury, he’d be averaging only less than Roberts and Sinclair in Defence.
D3 for the price of D20!
Same except I’m waiting a week or two as his BE is still really high
not a bad shout. he is always overlooked as a SC option, but his numbers don’t lie
About $445k next week
Early in the week I’m ready to go a risky trade in
Blamires to Ryan so I can go gothard to de goey
Thumbs down will dominate this post but I’m not going to win SuperCoach so why not
supercoach is meant to be fun so do the fun thing but I would say that guys like Murphy Reid, Harvey Thomas and Josh Rachele are all in that price range and averaging about 10 points more with a lot more consistency than De Goey
FWD Upgrade
TU: Rankine

Ross > Rankine > McInerney for me, but can’t really go wrong with any of them
Currently 18 Trades & 1 Boost left
TU – Cook, Murdock & Blamires -> Grundy, Ison & B. Ryan
TD – Hold Trades!
Cheers
TU – Bailey Smith
TU – Grundy

Serong is concerning, last 2 weeks have been really good and if he holds that it’s a no brainer, but he could get 4 tags/run-withs in the next 4 weeks (Garcia, Dunkley, Simpkin/FOS, Mullin). Food for thought
Rankine has a bye next week, i’d hold off 2 weeks and get him after his bye

Out: Blamires, Phillipou
In: B Ryan, Rankine
Total cash gen ahead of byes…
Out……Marshall and Robertson

TU Yes
TD No….must get at least one upgrade.
I think it could be a week to just hold trades. If it’s just for cash gen, you want to make sure those guys will actually generate cash and getting them before they’re on the bubble is always risky

TU: Yes
TD: Spend a bit more money for a higher cost premo
His breakeven is still around 100 so you can easily wait till after his bye
Trade out Blamires this week, and want to trade in one of the below-
TU- Ash
TD- Wilkie
Already have Sinclair, Whitfield, Clark, Worrell (with Lindsay being D6 after trade)
Budget is $517000
TU: Bailey Smith
TD: Archie Roberts
Context – Bailey completes the midfield, but I’ve neglected defenders. Well stocked for trades, so it’s just a matter of which upgrades when. Have prioritised midfielders as more points.
Current back six – Whitfield, Sinclair, Worrell, Lindsay, Farrow, Busslinger..
is it worth the trades ?
Cook – Whitfield
Selwood – bodie Ryan
Just wondering if people are upgrading cook now
There is a lot of love for Derksen in this section. Is he expected to play next round?
i think it is more hope, but he is $99k and the feeling is he will get a game at some stage
Is Dan Rioli worth considering or have I missed the boat. Or consistency/positioning not there
TU yes, consider
TD no
Not worth it. If you’re shopping in that price range Tom Stewart is a decent shout. Wilkie, Worrell, J Daicos and Zorko are all just a little more and would also be worth more of a shot
who would be better going clug tu or darcy cameron td
comment any other, i was thinking merret but idk
a couple of choices please Coaches :
TU : this week, Wilkie (Def), then next week BAZ/Heeney (Mid)
TD : this week, Roberts (Def), then next week Zerrett/Holmes/Neale (Mid)
TU: Blackey
TD: Holmes
Surprised to see no love on here for a 400k D Cam whos got the easiest ruck fixtures for the year and will solo ruck going forward. The downside is it makes it impossible to own all 3 of gawn, xerri and Grundy but for a guy who averaged 111 and 105 in the last 2 years it feels like good buying. Whats everyones thoughts?
There’s no doubt it’s great buying – but you are kinda handcuffing yourself into not holding one of the three best players for finals.
Question is – will any of us get to all of Gawn / Xerri / Grundy by season end in a finished team… maybe not… in which case, could go for it
Six of the next ten teams he meets are outside the eight and another two aren’t strong defensively.
Five of the ten teams he meets have rucks with an avg. or three round avg. less than 100.
Nankervis should be back before the Richmond game.
You’ve made a valid argument TommyC.
It reminds me that we’re only half way to the finals and trades are limited and costly.
with a BE of 122 we can definately look at him for a week or two as a solo ruck, no rush.
TU – McInerney
TD – Sanders
Why are people hesitant to trade cook if you can upgrade to a premium? He also has the bye next week so what’s the point in really keeping him for a week if you can upgrade him. I know he’s scored well but he also had a break even of 74
Is it cause whoever you trade in has a bye in the next 3.
Is it worth getting S.Robey in for Murdock? Robey has heaps of CBAs and a great run coming up
Last spot in defense
TU: Roberts (pay up)
TD: Willkie (wait for price drop)
not sure i can see the attraction of Wilkie. last 3 seasons before this one he has been 94, 92, 92 ave.
what has changed this year? not much, same role? Not sure the 110 ave (prior to injury game) is sustainable.
It’s not unfathomable to think a player could have just improved and be in better form than previous years? Think the addition of Silvagni to the side also allows Wilkie to free up a bit more and intercept.
If you were going to upgrade one of these two…
TU – McKercher
TD – Coleman
i think McKercher is half a chance to get Forward status added after this round. if you still have Marshall for a swing, worth thinking about holding him
I’m currently holding both in the hope that they end up as my F7 and D7 respectively
Please help me i’m so stuck!
Trade out Murdock and either cook/marshall to –
rookie and Merrett/Roberts
or use last boost and trade Murdock Cook and marshall to –
2 rookies and GRUNDY
T/U – Merrett or Roberts
T/D – Boost for grundy
Grundy is a nice get if you can make it happen, but you don’t want to sell the house to get him either.
I’ll be holding Cook for a few more weeks, a forward DPP who is averaging near 80 over the byes, yes please.
same with Murdock, he will get forward DPP after this week and another forward DPP who is averaging around 80 is ok in my team, especially a round 15 bye.
i can see the attraction to get Grundy though, some very easy match ups
I think Cook is worth trading with the high breakeven and he’s already pretty much maxed out price on top of having the bye next week. Murdock just seems like he has a little more cash to eeke out before I’d trade him
Another injury.
Trade out W Duursma for Butters.
TU. Yay!
TD. Chill out with a Guinness
i’m a bit confused, maybe just Steene to White.
I am very confused about all the work just to keep Steene
Downgrading to L Smith ruck only, was my first preference.
I needed the coin for Butters so had to extract Cook from the forward line.
Bevo’d, I downgraded Cook to White then sat White on the bench, T Marshall on the ground.
So I’ve got Butters and had a pint of Guinness, two TU.
Apart from Busslinger and Angry Anderson not earning coin this week and rumours around Uniacke all is good.
McKercher and Murdoch -> Blakey and Ison
TU sounds good
TD ease up and wait till after the byes
Need an assist with trades, got 18 left with one boost.
DEF: Roberts, Whit, Sincs, Clark, Lindsay, Blamires (Perez, Derksen)
MID: Butters, Bont, Holmes, LDU, Naicos, Walsh, Murdock, Retschko (Pou, Angry, Cumdog)
RUCK: Grundy, Gawn (Reidy)
FWD: Trac, Sheez, Kozzie, Rankine, Flanders, Cook (Lombard, Marshall)
FLEX: Willem DUURSMA
TU: Blamires, Pou out – Ash/Wilkie & Ison In
TD: Pou, Duursma out – Bazlenka & Ison in
Not sold on Ash and mindful of Wilkie bye and injury cloud.
Playing for rank currently top 2k
Blamires might struggle to get a game this week, will force you to trade him out, just get Bodie Ryan and bank the cash and have a warm body on field.
Smith is the one you want, bit pricey, but he is the one i’ve got my eye on this week
do you have cash (after Blamires out) to go Duursma to Smith?
Thanks for the response, I don’t have enough trading blamires and duursma to get baz and Ryan.
My concern with that is having to field Ryan as my bench won’t play, plus I want to push Holmes back there next week when gets dpp.
As you said I’ll probably be forced to trade blamires anyway so will be Willkie or ash.
TU: Bowey??? (POD option, likely consistent, Salem is out for weeks so should take bulk/all kick-ins, good upcoming match-ups for defenders, reduced ceiling potential however)
TD: Don’t be silly, grab Merrett instead
Wanting to trade Houston to Darcy Cameron, Cameron scoring potential + net small amount of coin. Will put Lindsey D6 and McAndrew to flex, ready to turn him into Xerri in a few weeks time
Houston BE 133
Cameron BE 122
Pull the trigger this week or next week? All comes down to do we think Houston will go 100+ against west coast as I believe DC will go 100+ against west coast
TU: McCluggage
TD: Noah Anderson
(Noah has the bye next week so might wait till post bye but will cost extra)
Houston? started him, he’s be solid enough but won’t be near top 6. Especially with Max Holmes most likely to get DPP now. He is my only avenue to Grundy!
TU – Houston & Blamires -> Grundy & B. Ryan / Ison
TD – Hold Trades
Apologies if already asked but
Tu: B Ryan (likely only bottom priced rookie on bubble)
Td: Ison (going early but poitentially also have NRT, Banfield, Oliver also on bubble)
TU: Good play
TD: Continue the upgrades now
I have been a bit torn about that also actually.
This week’s thoughts
Sellwood down to Ryan/Derksen
Cook up to Jack Ross.
TU: let’s go
TD: nope
Will be aiming to bring in Holmes and Ison next week
Only way to get Grundy in:
Out – McAndrew, Lindsey
In – Grundy, Derkson (have to field Sellwood then)
TU – Yes
TD – No
Whilst I see chatter about holding M Murdoch who has served us well, I think WC have got the taste of blood in their mouth partly served by applying hard tags partly given by MM.
I think even if tagging, he should score a bit better so can hold but can be a trade too
tossing up between bont and bailey smith this week, usually bont would be a no brainer but im just weighing up how this injury he’s carrying will affect future scores and for how long
tu Bont
td smith
Tu B Ryan
Td ison
TU Blakey
TD Merritt
Tu double downgrade blamires cumming –> ison Ryan hold 334k for next week
Td use final boost and go murdock –> merret. or steene –> mcinenery
Tu murdock to merret
Td steene to mcinerney
Need an assist with trades.
Last week’s trades were
NWM, Farrow & Blamires→ Whitfield, Callaghan & W.Edwards
Team before trades this week:
Def – Whitfield, Sinclair, Houston, McCarthy, Lindsay, Sellwood (Marshall, W.Edwards)
Mid – Butters, Bont, Holmes, Daicos, Callaghan, W.Duursma, Smith, Murdock (S.Cumming, Retschko, Burton)
Ruc – Jackson, Gawn (McAndrew)
Fwd – Trac, Sheezel, Kozzy, Flanders, JHF, Cook (Lombard, Dovaston)
Flex – Phillipou
$129,300 ITB, 24 Remaining Trades. (1 Boost)
I’m genuinely stumped this week, so any suggestions are appreciated.
Sorry, I have $54,300 ITB and 21 trades
Could do Sellwood down to Ryan or Derksen then maybe Cook or Phillipou up to someone through the flex
C Serong out for 2-3 weeks. Calf injury.
TU – Hold
TD – Trade
Is it worth holding tsatas till B Scott gets sacked? Clearly will not play him again under any circumstances….
Derksen in
Might change my trade to him instead of B Ryan
With Busslinger out injured for an undetermined time and him being pretty disappointing overall anyway, is it worth trading him out to Derksen for cash?
TU: yes
TD: no
The downgrade above would let me grab Zerrett (works ok for byes unlike Dawson, Anderson or Petracca) for Cook
TU: Do the second trade
TD: Hold fire and upgrade after byes
Caleb Serong >
TU: Sideways to McCluggage
TD: Use an extra trade to get Baz
TU Blamires & Steene -> Derksen and Wilkie
TD Blamires & Steen -> Derksen & Ryan
Which Ryan?
Or
TU Pou, Blamires Steene -> Any def premo derksen and banfield (Roberts or Wilkie or someone else recommend in comments pls)
TD Pou Blamires Steene -> any premo fwd, derksen, and ryan (Thinking Mcinerney or Ross)
B Ryan
Before the byes, I just want to bank cash but have now changed plans with Busslinger out to Derksen meaning I have upgraded Cook. What option do I go for?
TU: Merrett and $17k
TD: McCluggage and $106k
