  1. Can we start again? 2 more casualties this round at the moment….Flanders and Coleman…looks like Murdock is here to stay.

    • Ideally yes but lost so much value you need to use two trades to get anything good. Got Q Clash and tigers before the bye. If he cant score against those teams he never will and you cull on the bye

    • Confused as to why TU is heavily in favour thus far. Baz and Heeney let’s say is a 50/50 (I do think Smith out averaging him for the rest of the year), however Trac as a fwd is a must have and is off the bye. TD easily.

    • Problem is you have 5 midfielders not playing none of them with DPP so you can’t swap in some of your DPP forwards. Plenty of trades though. If you have a boost I would do 4.
      Trade out Derksen put back Holmes (Def finished).
      Trade out Burton
      Trade out Flanders to rook. bring Murdock on field.
      Find 2 DPP mids 1 rook 1 premo.
      Then you might do something with Lindsay if you want to.

    Is it worth using 2 extra trades to do the following? Already missing 6 premiums on the last bye but Wilkie is such amazing value and is a top 6 defender if you take away his injury game.

    Edwards > Rookie
    Philipou > Wilkie

    Current plan pending teams announcements

    Flanders -> Petracca
    J.Lindsay -> 99k DEF rookie

    Will try to bank some more cash and sit longer on rookies like Retschko, Cumming and Angry Anderson as I may have traded out a few too early this year already eg Jagga, Pou etc

  18. Wilkie at 457k?

    Very torn here only due to the awful bye.
    Would much prefer him over anyone else around his price. Take out the injury affected game and it’s a 108 average, looking every bit of a top 6 defender. Ideally I prefer someone coming off the bye, however I think this value might be too good to pass up.

    Weighing him up against a Touk for example. There are a number of forwards who can deliver the same output for the same price, where as I don’t think we will get the same value down back.

    Wilkie still a play if he is your 7th premo out on that last bye?

    Thoughts really appreciated community!

    • I’ve been weighing up Wilkie or Sanders this week and going with Wilkie for reasons you mention. Note on Sanders, since his first 2 low games he’s averaged 106, similar logic to Wilkie so he’s a solid pick too. Same bye unfortunately though!

    • Brought in Sanders last week and he did exactly what I wanted. think he’s a cut above, role there, and a 105 player. Reckon Touk and JHF are similar, 95ish. JHF throwing in the 70’s and 120’s Touk closer to 85’s and 110’s. Touk with the bye behind for me.

  24. Lindsay was totally shafted by CD 13 kicks (11 effective), 6 handballs (6 effective), 6 hball receives, 5 marks, 2 spoils and 300 metres gained for only 59 WTF!

    11 effective kicks =44 – 2 clangers =Total kicks 36
    6 effective hballs = 9
    6 hball receives = 9
    5 marks UC = 10
    2 spoils = 4
    1 harball get =4.5
    2 looseball gets = 9
    1FA = -4
    Total = 77.5

    • The numbers also change depending on when he gets the stats so you can’t just look at the final stas and expect a certain result. It’s a big part of the charm of supercoach cause it means that defenders can end up scoring well by doing team things without having stellar stat lines

      • But if you look at the official points scoring data published on the site they are the amount of points a player scores for those actions. You can’t say “A player will score X for an effective kick” and then give him Y for an effective kick, if there is a range between -10 and +20 for an effective kick that’s what the official game rules should say. Based on the published game rules for scoring somebody is cheating.
        Another example is Cripps’ mark and goal to win the game, in other games the same actions have scored as much as 30 when done by a Bontempelli or daicos but Crippa only got 11.
        That’s not ‘charm of the game’ that’s evidence that it’s pure luck based on an unknown stats persons love or hate of a particular team/player

  25. First trade required little thought, Flanders to Trac. Done.

    Second trade, somehow Carroll is still in my team but with a BE 80 time to go. Been weighing up Wilkie or Sanders but going for Wilkie. Each of the last 3 years he’s shown he can bring massive scores but this year he’s brought consistency. Sanders might complete my team post bye if he keeps his form.

    Still have 286k in the bank so could bring in a JHF or Bailey this week also but I’m tempted to wait until next week either for Xerri (BE 188) or Finn (cheap as he’ll get).

    TU: Bring in JHF or Bailey
    TD: Wait a week for one of the others (Xerri will probably need an extra downgrade)

    • Wilkie is puzzling me. What has changed? What has made him go from a solid 95 ave to elite 110? And will it continue?

      I always worry when a player starts the season well, better than he should, only to have normality resume mid-season.

      I have 1 defender to fill and will wait for NAS

      • I’ve looked at the number of marks and possessions. 178 marks in 2024, 194 last year, but he’s already on 121 after 12 games.

        Last year 429 possessions but already up to 280.

        So he’s smashing previous numbers. Yes, the big question is whether he can sustain it. I hope so!

  34. I think I’ve changed my mind now on holding Retschko lol

    Flanders -> Petracca
    J.Lindsay -> 99k DEF rookie eg Hugo Hall-Kahan who has been named
    Retschko -> LDU

    Thinking out loud, if I hold Retschko it means no points in rd 13, a rookie score against Brissy while wait for cash gen rd 14 and then maybe he makes an extra 10k before I upgrade in rd15?
    If I upgrade him now it means both extra points in rd 13 and 14 which helps a lot, one less rookie upgrade to worry about later, all the INs have had a bye already and i avoid cancelling out any cash gen by LDU/other going up in price in rd 13 and 14 before I can upgrade in rd 15. i am left with 62k in the bank and then 10 trades to upgrade 3 remaining on-field rookies. Feels like a decent plan?
